I am a big fan of the Simpsons predicting things.  I always love when another moment comes true.  I'm still not sure if it is just that they like to do future parodies and have had so many episodes that some have come true, or if Matt Groening is a time traveler.  Personally, I'm a fan of the time traveler theory.

Honestly, I haven't watched the Simpsons in probably 15 years.  I do remember watching the first episode together with my family as a kid.

I think we will see how that prediction goes, because these two teams predicted are not playing so well
In the competition, perhaps there will an improvement in their performance.

This World Cup looks like the winner will be between France or Argentina.

It's a very good prediction and it's good it's called prediction, that's because it might happen and it might also not happen, by personally, i do not think Portugal will make it to the finals to be honest. I know simpsons have gave a perfect prediction of alot of things and events in this world but there is also alot that didn't come to pass right? If yes, then I bet this prediction will turn out to be one of those that won't come to pass as they have predicted.

Personally, I am looking forward to France making it to the finals again, they played the finals back in 2022 but unfortunately they lost to Argentina who won the cup, I am certain that they would likely make it the finals again, and this time, if Mexico will keep doing better and better, then they may face France in the finals, and if France makes it to the finals playing against mexico, then France may or will easily win the match  as well as the world Cup.

It is funny as a meme. But I know it is actually an old hoax. That 1997 episode showed a normal match between Mexico vs Portugal, as Filicius already said. There was no mention of 2026 World Cup or World Cup final. Mexico's great start is really commendable. They have kept a clean sheet without conceding goal. But getting to the final would be history. Portugal is strong team too, but there is still a lot of games left.

Mexico os doing a wonderful job at the world cup amd I am very okay with them making it to the final, and if that happens even if Mexico faces a stronger team like France or Portugal, I will give them a winning bet despite that I knew it won't come easily but one thing is that world cup competition have it mastering and Mexico seem to have that world cup experience over time.

Let's be realistic here these two teams is likely not even making it to the semi finals of this competition. Anything is possible in football and that's why I think it could be a possibility to see Mexico vs Portugal in the final.
Although Mexico would be facing England next, am yet to know who Portugal would face but am sure their opponent won't be as weak as we think.

Seen this since last year, it's just an episode from a cartoon and of course,  it could have been any team , stop making it some kind of big deal though . There was once a prediction about trump death, is trump still alive ? Or it's was misinterpreted as Charlie (RIP).
I don't  know how some of  their episodes keep reflecting in reality , probably coincidence.  But I'm sure it's just a cartoon  given so much attention.

Well, you can see the competition is still ongoing  and both team are still in the game , the only way to find out is to continue  watching to see if they  trully make it to the finals.

We saw England's performance in their last match, they'll face Mexico next, and I think Mexico has a chance to win that match.
Portugal has always been among the favorites, they haven't played very well so far this year, but we can always say they have high potential.

Looking at the World Cup fixtures, we see that there's a possibility of these two teams being drawn against each other. This is a really interesting situation. The Simpsons' predictions are truly incredible, and if this one comes true, it will be talked about all over the world

I'm not familiar with the history of this show nor am I familiar with the accuracy of their predictions in the past. It's not like I'm a naysayer of both Mexico or Portugal because I love Portugal and I want Ronaldo to get a genuine chance to win the world cup but given teams already available, I can say none of the above team has met a formidable team and won. Portugal struggled ay the group stage, Mexico have only had it easy thus far.

Occasionally, we might say that what we see in The Simpsons is a coincidence. However, when so many events actually come to pass, it can no longer be dismissed as mere coincidence. I do not know who Simpsons is, but if he is someone that have had good predictions in the past, this will be a ridicule one for him as he predicted what may not happen already. It is very simple, Mexico is not going to get to world cup Final. I do not know about Portugal, but it is better than Mexico and have better chance of getting to world cup final than Morocco. Mexico will soon play with strong teams.

Well, it's intriguing, but it doesn't mean that it will always go their way. Some of what they say there is just guessing, but it doesn't mean they always get it right. What I am more curious about is how the writers of The Simpsons can attract so many viewers using these forecasts, especially when a big event is coming. That just means the writer and director are both updated about recent happenings, and they sometimes make it a comedy to attract more viewers.

It's just a mere prediction and you should take it like a grain of salt. No one knows which teams will be in the finals especially, now that the games are unpredictable and big nations are being eliminated earlier than we expected. This is the second prediction that Portugal will reach the finals. I'm patiently waiting to see if these guys are right or wrong.

I must say that we should take this so Simpsons predictions likely just as we don't take others who may even claim to be expert predictors predictions down to our hearts to count on their predictions.

Perhaps it is my first time coming across that identify (Simpson) but from the look of the informations in the link provided by the OP it seems he had been in the space for awhile now but that alone won't get me convinced to trust his prediction.

Moreover many prediction sites and individuals have also put Mexico in line as a team to seat on the World Cup final all because of the performance of the team. Of course this is just what even a beginner can suggest considering the stats.

Well, if that was the case I would be in favor of Argentina getting the world cup one more time and be declared the champions of the world consecutively.

France is a formidable opponent, they have won the world cup before, but Argentina seems to be more determined to get the cup again for their country.

Regardless... The Simpsons would be wrong if either of them, France or Argentina, managed to get to the final match.

Simpsons succeed prediction on many things so you can follow their prediction and place your bet but yes, anything can still happens so the Simpsons prediction might be wrong.

The reason for that game is actually a joke, in 1996 before the episode was launched, Brazil beat Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup, but they were replaced by Portugal, to point out the ignorance usually associated with the characters of the show, who would not make a difference between the two.

Both Mexico and Portugal seem to be kinda average(or above average) teams. I don't know how Mexico or Portugal would be able to win against France or Spain. Maybe they would rely on defensive tactics and wait for a chance to beat them in the penalty shootout, but I don't know about both Mexico and Portugal having really good goalkeepers. Having a great goalkeeper is a must when it comes to penalty shootouts. I don't mind some sports bettors actually trusting this prediction and putting money on one of those teams winning the World Cup, but I'm skeptical and I'm going to stick with the favorites.

So, while this is indeed interesting, I would not dare to blindly bet in favor of any of those teams only because there was some random references in The Simpsons.

We can say, however, that she is one of the candidates, considering the plays made so far and the pace of victories.
Of course, the road is still long and the other teams in the running for victory are certainly not there to stare at the sky, but are committed to winning, but the thing that makes you smile is that the Simpsons in any case approach the predictions with astonishing precision, almost as if it makes you want to place (if possible) a bet on Mexico's possible victory at the World Cup, maybe with a fair share, in the end those who don't take risks certainly won't be able to get anything.
