Yes definitely I have had some unexpected experiences of losing Bitcoin and it was my own fault. Once, when I was transferring Bitcoin from my wallet to an exchange, I accidentally changed a digit in the middle of the address, which resulted in my Bitcoin being lost forever. Although it was my mistake, fortunately the amount of Bitcoin was very small, only $53 worth of Bitcoin. As a result, I later copied and pasted the Bitcoin address very carefully. Basically, I made such a mistake due to the pressure of my fingers and one digit changed, resulting in my Bitcoin loss.

I had sent Bitcoin to someone's else address, I copied the right address myself and how it got changed is beyond me, when I did some investigation I noticed that it's like clipboard malware or hijack related, I don't even have any explanation how it ended up like that.

Mistakes like this have happened to a huge number of people in possession of Bitcoin but it hasn't happened to me before and I don't think I will make that mistake even in the future as I always double check and sometimes triple check to confirm and be sure because I lose my Bitcoin. Bitcoin isn't something that I want to lose easily because it's very valuable and as an investment I take it very serious because that's my future retirement, Bitcoin transfer isn't like Fiat that can easily be traced so I'm very careful with it.
