I'm really amazed that, given the forum's strong commitment to freedom of speech, threads like this are allowed here.

It's one thing to allow all kinds of criticism on Meta in the name of free speech, but it's another to allow trash. This guy has already been tagged for being an AI spammer, and when I run the OP's text through detectors, I see this:





I already reported a similar trash thread once, and the report was marked as bad. Let's see if I have better luck this time.

Being a newbie does not make you inexperienced or that you didn't acquire a formal education, it only means you are new to the forum. If you can't read and write (though you must not be fluent) then i'm sorry here is not for you. We don't use vocabulary to write here all the time, but you should write what will be readable to others. This forum do not discriminate newbies but just because someone criticized you doesn't mean you should improve through the use of AI tools. I can see that you already have tags of an AI spammer, now how do you want us to help you when we don't even know if the whole of the text in the OP is also written by an AI? the problem with most newbies is that they are always eager to write, instead of reading and that is where the mistakes set in. A toddler must first learn to walk before learning how to run. We all started as newbies, and some of us even faced greater backlash but we didn't feel discouraged instead it became a stepping stone to becoming better.

I saw it immediately I submitted my reply, I was writing and went to attend to something for over 30 minutes before I returned back and continued... my instincts didn't fail me after all!

Many beginners join the forum without knowing how to write well or without understanding the rules. Some come from poor countries, had to leave school to work, and never had the opportunity to get a good education. Even so, they want to learn and be part of the community.

Everyone is welcome here irrespective of their region, bank balance or education. The only thing you need to follow is the forum rules here.

Sometimes it feels like some people judge these users based on their first posts instead of talking to them, guiding them, and encouraging them. A beginner may write badly or create a poor topic simply because they are still learning. Everyone started without experience one day.
In my opinion, the forum should have a more relaxed section for beginners, where they could write without being afraid of being judged. A place to ask questions, share opinions, and learn from their mistakes. This would help many people improve and could even reduce the use of AI, because they would gain confidence to write in their own words.

There is a dedicated section for new users Beginners & Help, where you can ask questions without being judged. You mostly post in the Português (Portuguese) local board, which is a good start for learning the forum culture and improving your skills. As you already know, blatantly using AI will get your posts deleted, and you have had 36 posts deleted so far for failing to meet forum standards. I suggest sticking to your local board to participate and learn, as there is no compulsion to post across every section.

 

Some start using AI because they think they will never be accepted writing in their own way. Others stop asking important questions and may even fall for scams because they don't have enough guidance.

Like I mentioned above, sticking to your local board or the 'Beginners & Help' section is your best option. You can ask any questions you have there, and almost all members will be happy to guide you.

@Mods, The OP clearly confirms he is using AI, since he does not have a grasp of the language. OP is not wearing a signature to complete a quota. Once the user establishes a baseline, showing that he is struggling, you should not punish him for that and more over he started a topic in meta to share his grievance and not responding in any mega threads to increase his post. That is my opinion. The rest of the decision is yours.

Regarding the transaction speed, I was comparing it to the physical movement of gold, which can take days or weeks for international settlements, while bitcoin settles in minutes or hours on-chain (or seconds on Lightning). As for 'mining', I meant that one is a physical labor-intensive process and the other is a computational process (PoW), but both require massive energy. I'm here to learn, appreciate the feedback!

Maybe read the replies in a thread that's only one page long—with just a couple of replies on the second page—before making a fool of yourself by replying.

I am not ignoring the fact that he used AI. What is the content and his grievance. He clearly mentions he is not good with the English language and he uses AI. Someone who does not have a grasp of the language will communicate in the third person. There is no point in churning out tantrums to establish that you are the only Poker player here.

Pointing out an account's specific moderation history proves I looked deep into the user's background, not just the OP. Drop the toxic attitude and actually look at the facts before making a fool of yourself.

Everyone you see here was once a newbie or beginning in both Bitcoin and the forum. Everyone here went through the phrase you're speaking. It doesn't matter what rank you are; if you write rubbish, people will always call you out on it, so it's not exclusive to newbies. The difference is that the senior members have been here a while and have gained that experience to speak up, so even though there are still some who constantly write rubbish, the ratio is low compared to newbies.

Sometimes when I look at my earliest posts on the forum, I cringe. Sometimes I am moved to delete them, but I don't because that is part of my journey.
If you take the "attack" you receive without looking at what the person is trying to say to you, then you won't learn, and when you don't learn, you won't grow.
If you are actually ready to learn, then don't always claim you're right and look into yourself and find ways to improve.
Nothing a person says about you here does anything to you (except in false accusation or tainting your reputation). The usual being rude or trolls adds nothing or removes nothing from your life. Don't let those things discourage you.

I don't know what your problem is, but I'm definitely not the cause of it. If you are frustrated, don't take it out on me; I had no hand in your frustration.
You don't need to be insulting to let me know it's an AI chatbot, and I can delete my post if necessary. I read most of the replies in the first page of the thread, and I didn't see anything to imply it's an AI-generated text. You also don't expect me to check every post to see if it was AI-generated before I reply.
So either let me know about something politely, or you don't let me know at all, because I have no idea why your first instinct is to insult.

Topics like these are the most evident proof of the user not being here for legitimate reasons.  OP could have written this text all by them selves and what I said still stands in my opinion.

I have participated on multiple Forums in the past and never did I feel the need to write a Topic begging for mercy.  Even if I got insulted and 'pushed away'.  But these Forums did not have signature campaigns so there is that.

Unfortunately, we have come to the conclusion that only people with thick skins can survive in this forum, even though this not said but it seem to be like a spoken rule. However that’s a good community survive because it might be flooded with people whose interest is just to milk the forum but however from what I have read on the first page op you are not just concerned about the toxicity of the forum towards beginners but because you got attacked and filtered out.
