Those memecoin investors won’t regret fully the time; they will still go and chase after trends. If they see another popular figure create another memecoin, they will rush in and end up making the figure richer, while only a few of them will end up making money out of it. Memecoin is pure gambling; the $Trump token is just another risky gamble those investors took.
Most gamblers continue to gamble even after losing repeatedly. Why should we be surprised that memecoin investors have no regrets and would continue to invest if another overhyped memecoin comes along?
Investing in memes is no different from gambling, and those investors are no different from gamblers.
By the way, now we know why Trump became a president who supported cryptocurrency. He acted more for personal gain than out of genuine belief in or support for cryptocurrency, as he claimed.
