I looked through the topics in the gambling section and didn't see anything like this anywhere. So I decided to create one after I saw what happened to Jordan Henderson, who jumped over advertising boards.

I think it was a catastrophically ridiculous incident, because the player jumped over the boards awkwardly, landed on his hands, and broke his arm. Now he'll miss the rest of the World Cup because of it. And I can easily imagine that he could also miss the start of the new club season.

I also remembered something happened to Neuer, it was in 2022. Neuer also suffered a compound fracture his leg, when he went skiing. Because of that, he was also out of action for, I think, six months or more. So, these things happen in professional sports too.

Well, it wasn't an official thread but I discussed about something like that today, so this can stay.
Edit: Oh shit!! I just watched the video and it's something more serious than I thought. That display board was slippery and he leaned too much on his hand, and lost his balance. I can only imagine the pain. That's definitely a muscle tear, but overall, I'm wishing him a speedy recovery from that.

During the English celebrating their win over Mexico Jordan Henderson may have broken or sprained his hand while trying to go over the advertisement electronic board.
As we know Jordan Henderson hasn't been active for England on the football pitch but you can't deny that he is an irreplaceable ad important member of the English team, what ever the coach Tuchel expected him to bring to the team with his experience he has absolutely done that.
Do you think this will be a loss for England mentally or will Jordan Henderson be able to shrug this off and still be active in the dressing room and on the sidelines for England.

The Mexican really tried to score, regardless of conceding 3 outstanding goals against England. Confidence matters a lot on the pitch, and one way to take that away from your opponent is to score promising goals--- goals that make their defenders look useless. The flying header by Bellingham was stunning, and rounded that up with a brace. Raúl Jiménez was denied another flying header by the keeper, and that made me realize how good he was in his prime with headers.
For the Jordan Henderson's case, his hand injury is a minor issue so that's not a problem IMO.

I think it's a very good idea, and by leaving it so open it will serve not only to comment on those that have already happened, but also those that will continue to happen both in the World Cup and in the coming seasons of various sports.

Anyone remember that they added mic to the players in tennis, it was hilarious when they made such weird sounds while hitting the ball, and I don't know iut was part of any real tournament but all I can remember is that it was doubles, and it was kind of a test run or an exhibition game.

I'm unware about wht hppened to Jordan Henderson until now, but to be sincere, it's something huge, and i have goosebumps just by watching the video of the incident, but what happened is not an idiotic incident, though, and it happened through excitement.

I think his incident happened because he was not used to skiing like before, and before the incident happened, and he stayed off his limits. Meanwhile, ski incidents mostly happen on beginner and intermediate slopes.

Reading this thread title and what the intention behind it is, I think most of us here have seen a horrible incident in sports where in literally took your breath away. One example that comes to my mind was when a friend sent me a reel or a video where this one UFC fighter kicked the opponent's leg and then his own leg broke and his leg was hanging loosely in the air.... Arrrghh.

I think so far for this world cup the worst event was the broken leg for the Canadian player. It looked disgusting, but what I found so strange about it is that the player didn#t look as if there was a lot of pain. It's probably what is often said about fractures. The adrenaline is so high that you don't feel it. I have never had a broken leg, but I can't imagine that it doesn't hurt. The guy was sending greetings with a smile when they carried him off the field.

Accident like these are known to happen when we even less expected them to occur in something situations, it's a pity that Jordan couldn't make it to the world cup because of this, though I also didn't see the circular online and I don't know why they are trying to keep some things from the public to some keep layers that are really affected with one reason or the other, anyway, I wish him quick recovery.

OMG, this incident is just a miscalculation misplaced hand same place the other player followed almost in the same patterned who used to jump and cross the board, but luck ran out of his side. I'm just imagining the pain he felt before even being rushed up and the medical team taking over before talking about the rest of the competition that he will be missing out as this is the unforeseen situation we talk about in players life.

There have been incidents like this which caused the lives of notable footballers in some parts of the world. Years passed, and the Nigerian footballer named Samuel Okwaraji at the age of 25 also suffered the same fate on the pitch for the 1990 World Cup qualifiers match played against Angola on August 12, 1989, at the National Stadium in Surulere. There have been many tragic incidents such as this in many countries and leagues, and I think measures should be put in place to reduce this occurences so that players do not continue to lose their lives.

Wow this is indeed ridiculous, It's amazing how some of the worst injuries happen away from normal play. Henderson's injury was especially unfortunate because it came from celebrating rather than a challenge or tackle. I did my research and I found some other ridiculous incident , like that of Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, which took place June 28, 1997 . During the heavyweight championship fight, Mike Tyson became frustrated after several clashes of heads with Evander Holyfield. In the third round, Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear, tearing off a small piece. After the match resumed, Tyson bit Holyfield’s other ear as well. The referee stopped the fight and disqualified Tyson.

It is true that Trump made a call to Gianni infantini FIFA president to review the ban or suspension after a team member was giving red card. We can now see that politics is gaining ground in all the settors now, as the president of a country can now give orders for rules that governs a sector be changed in favour of theresupported or favourite teams. If it keeps happening it will make sport less valued and uncontrollably, which means games can be fixed in favour of the highest bidder at strick of a call.

You’re right, Accident doesn’t inform someone before it happens, that’s what makes it more disheartening. If the news about Jordan’s injury is true, it’s really heartbreaking because every players  dreams is to play for their country in the World Cup. Missing this opportunity alone may break him down emotionally and physically. At the same time, we should not jump in to conclusion until all fact are cleared, because sometimes delay in releasing information maybe due to verification or official procedures.  I wish him quick recovery, no matter what health comes first before any other thing. Hopefully he will recover and continue his football dreams.

Accidents do happen but it's a good thing it wasn't his leg or neck or spine as that would have ended his career or put it on hold for a longer duration than what he currently has.
Even though such incident has put a stop to his run in the tournament, he has made record alongside Bobby Charlton as a fourth world cup appearance.
It would have been worse, but am grateful it wasn't.

This is going to be discussed for many football years to come.
Unfortunately, and it when similar situations arises like this in other tournaments around the world, this would be referenced.
Despite FIFA quoting a section of their rule book to back the suspension, they will never be able to beat the allegations that they are now being perceived as a corrupt and biased organization.

My heartfelt over the incident.
I could not watch further or even make fun of the incident as I also saw the laughing emoji attached to the X post containing the video.

I watched the arms dislocated and haven to recall how i broke my arms about 15 years, it was a very bad experience that I would not want to experience again neither do I wish it to happen to others because the pains felt like worse of my brutal experience.

I am concerned to know if the first guy that jumped the pitch barrier also batched the card too. I don't want to believe it was because of broken arms that warranted the yellow card either.

That's how sports going sometimes even they aren't playing because they are in the team having their cheers and participation is a must and of course getting overwhelmed is normal even though they are just in the bench or not still the players are paid, just said thing here is its affect their careers reason they get idle and pending so they get less exposure came from sponsors and teams scouts.

Some people will say it doesn't matter much because the USA lost the last game terribly. However, I would still say it was unfair to the other team. If FIFA can do this for the USA, they should do the same for other teams as well to make it fair. If they cannot change something for the other teams, they should not be able to do it for the USA. The thing is, the USA is so powerful, and they are using their power everywhere. If they can destroy a nation, why can't they rig a World Cup? I feel like Trump thinks this way, which is why he is doing whatever he wants. If this happens again, we have to be prepared, and the other countries should refuse to play against the USA in the future.
