I remember there was another MMA fighter some years ago getting injured while celebrating but I couldn't find it.

That is one of the reasons I have always thought that landing kicks in professional fights like that one was always more difficult and riskier than just giving punches to one's opponent in the ring.
This sure was a very ridiculous thing to witness by McGregor fans, though, it is a very good reminder that each one of us are human being, the same of those fighters, regardless on how much they train their body and seem to be league above all of us, they can get injured with movements and doing some performances in the same manner we could also get injured.

Hopefully he recovers fast and gets back to action.

Yes, we all understand the incidents that often occur in the world of professional sports, this is human and natural, humans are not free from mistakes which may be intentional or not.

Sports players are also humans, where fatigue, loss of focus or too much self-confidence and so on is what often makes a person realize it or not which often triggers actions or incidents that look ridiculous, as was done by Chris Nicholl, one of the Aston Villa club players, who scored an own goal and many other cases in the world of sport, incidents carried out by the players themselves, whether it was detrimental to themselves or also including losses for the team/club.

Every day now I can't stop laughing every time I see videos of his fight and the TV commentators' remarks. Especially when they try to understand the movement he made that led to his injury. I heard one commentator say, "He jumped too high to throw a kick..." and then, laughing, he added, "You just don't do that..." 


Today Argentina played against Switzerland, the game was tied, until at the 70th minute the Swiss player did something unbelievable by throwing himself to the ground to get a foul.

Kickbreaks Because it can break any bones, it is very possible to any professional fighter to sustain broken bones. It is when we see star athletes injured that we get to know that they are like ordinary people who are not resistant to pain. I believe they have been incredibly dedicated in spite of the limitations that their bodies have. I wish that they recover well without wasting any more time and come back into the ring at optimum performance levels.

The way people are losing their lives due to mistakes and accidents is something we can not comprehend.

Part of the training process that sportsmen undergo are actually to prepare them for moments like this. Participating in certain sports events can be really demanding, both physically and psychologically, so players are prepared for these moments. There are a lot of things that these players experience while in the pitch that we just see as ordinary, that people who are not trained in that way can not withstand at all.

But regardless of the trainings and preparations, accidents would still most likely happen at anytime. Sometimes I wonder how these folks risk their lives sometimes just to entertain the world

It is true!! no amount of training can fully protect you from the unexpected. This athletes push their bodies to the limit every time they step on the field, and sometimes things go wrong despite all the preparation. What we see as entertainment is actually a high risk job for them. One bad fall, one wrong tackle, or one freak accident can change their lives forever. We cheer and celebrate, but we rarely think about what it costs them personally.

You are very much correct about how we watch the goals, and some hard work that is celebrated but the real truth is that the 90 minutes is a year of damage to their bodies. And the worst part of it is that we even go as far as to keep cheering the loudest, but most of the time it to hard to even notice the anxiety…I think from what I have seen, the life after football is when the body is weak and can not even sit well, Now I want you to see it this way  why news like this hits so hard. One day they’re in the World Cup, living the dream. The next day... gone. No amount of preparation can guard against that and it is for sure…

He may have personal reasons and we won't know it. But should think of the overall performance of the team. Sometimes we just don't get it when a certain player is behaving unusual inside the field. We don't know what's going thru their mind why such move as they can really ruin their team's performance. It may have to do with personal struggles that the audience don't know of. If that happens, the team should decide to request for timeout and remove their athlete inside the field. This is to mitigate further damage to the performance of the team. Or if there's large money involved just to ruin the game, this can be. But the athlete should re-consider such offer because it can easily ruin his career and it can cause the end of it.

I've seen players in greek soccer A league running towards each other so carelessly that one had to be taken out as a medical emergency. Their tram was even losing and the played bumping each other were from the same team which is crazy to consider.

It seemed like a genuine bump and not an attempt to kill time.

I looked through the topics in the gambling section and didn't see anything like this anywhere. So I decided to create one after I saw what happened to Jordan Henderson, who jumped over advertising boards.

I think it was a catastrophically ridiculous incident, because the player jumped over the boards awkwardly, landed on his hands, and broke his arm. Now he'll miss the rest of the World Cup because of it. And I can easily imagine that he could also miss the start of the new club season.

I also remembered something happened to Neuer, it was in 2022. Neuer also suffered a compound fracture his leg, when he went skiing. Because of that, he was also out of action for, I think, six months or more. So, these things happen in professional sports too.

Oh man, that does suck severely bad. Imagine how much these guys are kicking themselves and how stupid they look and feel for the sport. Ugh. Its a shitty situation for sure. Like one of those situations where you wish you could go back and just not do that one thing you did to screw it up. On the flip side though,its kind of like a paid vacation for them though unless it was a breach of contract which I feel like the ski incident one definitely was unless the player got that approved. I'm sure they aren't allowed to do certain things like that or perhaps it could void a portion of their contract?

Yes, it was very strange, especially since now, if any incident on the field can be reviewed by the fourth officials on VAR, I don't understand the players who do such things and what they're counting on. Maybe he just wanted the ball for his team and didn't expect the Argentine player to be given a yellow card, which would be reviewed by VAR. But in any case, to receive a red card for such a stupid act is truly ridiculous.

The mental health has suffered more damage in workplace related healthcare than any other form of healthcare. So many premature deaths happening these days and you just see people collapse and fall and you are wondering what exactly may be the cause of that. Many of these, when properly examined, are accumulated stress as a result of neglected work related healthcare. Because many of us are not so informed about the effects and consequences of mental health illnesses, we don't pay attention to it anymore rather we just pay attention to how we grow our career and become more successful at work.

Yes, it was actually a bit comical, but certainly not for the Swiss players. I think that if it hadn't been for the referees seemingly favoring Argentina in many matches, the player probably wouldn't have received a yellow card for that incident, especially considering he had already been booked. The situation was definitely very unusual. Although it was clearly a simulation, and I do think it would have deserved a yellow card if the referee had spotted it on his own, it shouldn't have been given after VAR intervention. Sending a player off in such an important match because of that was the wrong decision. In my opinion, it was a refereeing mistake.

Though we cannot avoid completely being in a new form of accident when it comes to doing what we are best at, even the professional footballers and other athletes do make mistakes and then got injured, it is something to see in a situation whereby you are the major cause to that mistake you did and it can also be that someone mistakenly got over you and you are injured, but when we are a good stamina and can we stand any rigor conditions in sports, the level of which any accident may occur will be minimized.

Any bump on the football pitch between two players from the same team that lead to one or two of them being or getting hospitalised is definitely a genuine bump, no one in their right sense would take such risk of getting serious injury simply for the sake of killing time except the players don't love their life and value their career..

But honestly speaking though, it crazy to have two players from the same team bumping into each other, does it mean the field suddenly became to tight that It can no longer contain but players or what exactly? 😂

Honestly, this is actually the difficult part of professional sports. Many things seem easy when you watch a game on TV, but the  physical pressure and collisions on the field are completely different. So no matter how advanced training or safety measures are in sports, accidents are never 100% avoidable.  Players undergo years of rigorous physical and mental preparation before entering the field ,but unexpected situations on the field are not always under their control. However seeing such incidents makes one thing even more clear players not only provide entertainment but also take great risks with their bodies in every match, So when an unexpected accident occurs, we have nothing to do but accept it as part of the game and wish them a speedy recovery.

I believe the referee understood the context. In most cases, players deliberately dive when they are in the opponent's goal area to simulate a penalty and receive a yellow card for it. But we all understand that their intention is to win a penalty and not to harm their opponent. However, in the case of the Swiss player who threw himself to the ground, he waited for the Argentinian player to approach him to simulate a foul, which would have resulted in a red card for the Argentinian player.

It's clear that when he threw himself, it was clearly with malicious intent. That's why the referee severely punished him with a yellow card. Since he already had another yellow card, the referee had no choice but to give him a red card. People who seem to hate Argentina and Messi for reasons I don't understand are creating fantasies that Argentina is favored by referees when that makes no sense.

Jordan probably hasn't felt so much pain before, I'm just guessing. I couldn't watch the video twice to see the level of damage, but bro landed on his right arm, from almost 10 inches above the ground and the ligament separated.

It should. Imagine being played in a script to bump into your own player--- so hard that an injury from either of you is checked with immediate effect, just to kill time lol.
