Those that invested in Bitcoin will have little worries compared to those that invested in alt or meme coin because they hardly recovers their previous high, as you have said already. Out of 100 alt and meme coin in the market, it's only like 14 of them or less that have the capacity to recover to their previous high, because investors are not that confident in them to put so much money on them during the bull season, unlike Bitcoin that has gained the confidence and trust of most investors. Yes, all investors need to be patient enough to hold for long, if you cannot be patient with any investment not only crypto, you will lose money and might not make good money from the investment.

Bitcoin investment has been there for long, investors that were patient are in good profit they never expected today, same as some altcoin investors that were opportune to invest in some leading altcoins from the early stage.

It is not right to look at all altcoins in the same way. Buying more altcoins during a price drop can be a golden opportunity. This may be true in some cases, but it is not certain whether the ones you are investing more in due to the price drop will survive in the long term. That is why this strategy may not be a good match for altcoins. Because if the project does not survive in the long term, then buying at a low price may not be profitable. Most small altcoins in the market cannot reach the previous high price even after going through multiple bullish cycles.

The thing I fear most about altcoins from previous experience is that the dip of small altcoins starts a big drop which can not recover. However, this is not the same case with all coins.

If Bitcoin dominance starts to increase in the current bear market, then historically, I see many times that Bitcoin performs strongly first, then after some time some of the capital flows to the larger altcoins and then to the smaller altcoins. So, the safest strategy until then is to be patient.

I'm not sure how many altcoins can survive among the 100 altcoins. It can be 10% or below 10% of 100 altcoins. The point is very small percentage of the altcoins that can survive and grow well in the market after a long time period. In a blink, an altcoin can turn $100 into $10k, and within a short interval the same $10K may be around $10, this is basically how the altcoin market dies very quickly and the reason why most people do not take them seriously.

Investors are looking to set long term goals and not short term profits alone. First they start with buying and storing Bitcoin, every other altcoin comes second to Bitcoin after a good portfolio has been set up.

There have to be enough of us OGs that we could all work together and dev something really cool. Memecoins and shit are cool to an extent and they kind of scratch the itch but I want to make something that really gives us all hope again. With people that know how to fucking hold longer than 30 seconds. Maybe its a pipe dream idk, but I really miss the 2013 era so much. Thats when everything felt exciting and progress wasnt paywalled to fuck and back.

I feel you bro. The old days had a different energy more about building and believing, less about quick flips and hype. Memecoins are fun, but they don't carry that same weight or purpose.

It would be great to see a shift back to projects with real vision. Not just talk, but actual use cases and longterm thinking. The space needs more of that if it wants to grow beyond just speculation

Unfortunately, those days are gone, for example on the last bull run last year, did you see anything great come out? Every bull run had at least one project that was created which made it to near top levels, because it was something new and people liked it. This time there wasn't one, it was just memecoins on SOL and other already established coins going up, that's it. So we no longer have that development thing, we do not see people spending months and even sometimes years developing the next big thing, they just spend 10 minutes on creating some token and then rest is just about marketing budget, if you have a big marketing budget then you grow big and if not then you do not grow big that is all there is to it.
