I'm rooting for Rolly, and honestly I'm more confident he can win after seeing that picture.
Almost, but he still lost, that Teo by decision bet cashed. Rolly is not really that technical after all, his style is still the same and he doesn't adjust much. I must say he has power because he hurt Teo in round 5, but that was the only round where he really looked convincing to me. In the other rounds he was no longer the aggressor, and we know judges usually give credit to the boxer who is pressing the action, so Teo was getting those points. Now that Teo has the title, more big fights will probably come for him, but against fighters who are quick and move a lot, I think he could still have a hard time and possibly lose.
poll result 5-2 ( majority was correct)

Rolly is the one trick pony everyone says he is. He has world class power but he has no gameplan whatsoever and doesn’t know what to do with his ability.
Teofimo might not be the flashy fighter he was early in his career but he can still get the job done. He is a three division champion now and that is still impressive, even in this era. With this win he is in a great position to challenge the winner of Garcia vs. Benn. Haney might be the best fighter in the division, but Ryan vs. Teo might be a more interesting matchup.
And the new WBA champion - Teo Lopez. Yeah, maybe we can say that he really got lucky to beat a off night Ryan Garcia. He really has the power, but if you can't execute and don't have a plan A or even plan B, then for sure you can't take advantage of that kind of power. As fans, I wanted to see Garcia vs Lopez next. Gonna love this two trash talker. But Garcia's footwork or shall we say no footwork is not going to bet this kind of version of Teo Lopez that we have seen in this fight.

It's over now, Teo Lopez defeated Rolly Romero by majority decision 114-114, 115-113, 116-112, to capture the WBA welterweight title. There are rounds like in round 5 that I thought Romero might end up winning by knockout as he rock Lopez.
But Lopez won't allow it as he took control again in round 6. I don't know but it looks like Romero is reluctant to put on a show and throw more punches. And probably that's why the judges give the round to Lopez because he is the more active.
To be honest i wasn’t really impressed with the fight. It seemed more like a sparring session to me than an actual title fight. Teo running around throwing body shots and jabs without even trying to impose himself on Rolly. The only reason he won was because he out worked Rolly, but he still got the job done anyway and now he’s three division champ. Rolly on the other hand had very low output in the fight. He only looked sharp in round 4 or 5 i think; where he cut Teo’s eye but then after that round, he went back into low activity mode. Post fight interview, Rolly was calling for a rematch with the claim that he was robbed which i don’t think was true. The stats are there and it was clear that Teo won, to me it was a fair decision and i don’t think there’s gonna be a rematch. A rematch does not matter to Teo at this point again and it’s not gonna increase his rep in any way if he takes it. He’s already a three division champ so i believe he’s gonna wanna sit on that for now and shop for bigger names and maybe even a possible unification path. I feel like this would make more sense for his legacy than running it back right away with Rolly. Rolly can call for a rematch all he likes, but he doesn’t really have any leverage to really deserve to get it.

It doesn’t take much to make Teo start bleeding. Most of the damage he received came in that fifth round. You can’t win a decision based on a single round. Rolly only has himself to blame for being too passive. It wasn’t the most exciting performance from Teo, but he understood things perfectly and tried to win each round. Rolly has already achieved more than what I would have expected and I think he can still get some interesting fights in the welterweight division. Paro and Catterall look very beatable. If he stays active he could win another world title.

Lost my bet on this one, i thought that Rolly Romero will be came aggressive on this fight as what he did against Ryan Garcia but he seems reluctant and didn't let go of his hands and i don't understand why he didn't take the risk early. Teo did enough to win this fight, it could have been a unanimous decision as he got most of the rounds. For Teo Lopez, he is back on track to have the money fights in the future and if Ryan Garcia could defend his title against Conor Benn then a unification would be exciting for us fans. Congrats for those who bet on Teo to win by decision, you got right this time.

I’ll be waiting for that fight, two champions clashing for unification. Hmm, I’m already thinking who will be the bookies’ favorite, I think they might side with Ryan here since he’s the bigger guy, and Teo loves to attack while Ryan can score well from distance. Plus Ryan is already good at creating hype, so marketing this fight will not be a problem. Ryan just needs to win his fight first, then this one should definitely be on the table.

Am I the only one who got amazed with the stance of Romero throughout the fight? I mean I'm not watching Romero's fights that often, but he's almost had the same stance as with Mayweather, and TBH that's effective from him. It's just that like what you said, he doesn't have a gameplan and aside from that, he almost knocked Lopez down twice, but he can't capitalize on those. Looking at the scorecard which is 114-114, 115-113, 116-112, it could be anybody's fight TBH. I mean the fact that one of them ended up in a draw and the 2 with a close score just shows that anybody could win. I will not be surprised if Romero will demand for a rematch after this lose of him. Congrats to Lopez anyway, and he has 2 options. He'll face the winner of Garcia Vs. Benn, or he accept Romero's rematch which could happen next year.

That's what the judges saw, but the fans also saw how Teo clearly beat him. If Rolly asks for a rematch, maybe it's possible if there's a rematch clause and Teo is required to give him one, but if you ask the public, I don't think a rematch is really necessary. Rolly should move on and Teo should prepare for bigger challenges, maybe even a unification fight. Teo is already at that level now, so he should aim for a bigger fight next, preferably Ryan Garcia.

I said the fight would get interesting, and it really did. I also think Teo did enough to win; it was close, but he was more aggressive and dominated most of the rounds. Rolly said he wants a rematch, but the contract had no rematch clause; he was visibly frustrated during the post-fight interview, but he said he still loves Teo and has nothing to do with the judges' decision. The Welterweight division is now exciting, with Devin Haney, Liam Paro, and Ryan Garcia as champions in different organizations; let's see if they will try to unite the divisions.

Congrats for those who bet on Teo to win by decision, you got right this time.
Thanks bisdak. It's sad you're not lucky enough in this game. I really liked the moment when Teo did counter uppercut to the Rolly. This is what i said that if Teo performed like he used against Shakur, Rolly was nothing for him. Also Rolly's last fight was 15 months ago, which was making him looked so dumb in this game. So i guess Rolly needs vacation to recover his mentality. He obviously needs some break to build his motivation to win the next game. I think Ryan should be shamed of himself to lost against Rolly in the past when Teo the new comer in this weight have no problem to beat Rolly.

We really don't know what happens to Rolly after that round. Maybe he thinks that he is in control after that. So post fight interview he said that he was robbed. But as you have said, the numbers doesn't lie. He is very passive and not throwing any punches at low. It was like he doesn't have that animosity in him to finished the job not like in the Garcia fight that he seems to be possessed to beat Ryan. I don't see as well any rematch.

Similar to my argument before, Rolly won against King Ry because this was the fault of King Ry or his trainer the father Henry. Also, King Ry was coming out of a 1 year suspension. This might have also an effect on his performance against Rolly. If King Ry has been prepared against Rolly similarly against his fight against the crying Haney, I reckon we might certainly witness a knockout.

Romero used to be promoted by Mayweather and does part of his training at Mayweather Boxing Club. He has probably picked up a few things. However, he is never going to be a slick technical fighter like Mayweather was. That is evident from his previous losses which ended by knockout. To his credit he did win most rounds against Tank and also beat Ryan by decision. He also minimized Teo’s effectiveness by blocking and rolling with punches. The problem is that he couldn’t get enough going offensively.

The weakness I saw in that fight is that he was attacking, but not really aggressive enough. Maybe he thought he was landing enough punches, but the judges were not seeing it that way, even his coaches probably knew he was behind because they kept encouraging him to do more. It also looked like he was afraid to make mistakes and take Teo's punches, but if you know you're losing, you have to become more desperate, either go for the KO or at least do enough to convince the judges. That's what I didn't really see from him in that fight.

You have a point there mate, on that fight Ryan Garcia's aggressiveness abandoned him when he was knocked down by Rolly Romero and he seems to stopped throwing his punches that give Romero the confidence to go in. In this fight against Lopez, Romero was just too stationary, same as usual that Lopez' jab hit at will and as per stats Teo Lopez landed 62 jabs, that is a lot of jabs to absorb and Romero failed to adjust.
