I wouldn't call it surprise. It's enough to see results of Svottish clubs in Europe in recent years. Bet against Scottish clubs in European games and you will be in profit. Seeing Bournemouth and Sunderland in the list of top contenders is something I would never have expected. A miracle would need to happen for this to occur. Regarding Palace, yes, they may be there, as they showed good playing in Premier League last season.

The EPL clubs are the only potential teams to win europa league. I know we have benfica, but feel weird how their performance has changed a lot. We have also some top serie a teams such as Juve and Milan, but these teams have always been shite when it comes to the europa league.

Looking at their last season performance still looks funny to me. It's because they were unbeaten, yet they didn't win the league or qualified to the UEFA champions league, out of 38 matches they won 23 games and drew 11. I have never seen a team who went unbeaten without winning the league, to me that record is useless.  You are right, Benfica coming to the second won't play 100% of their first eleven. I feel they will just rotate the squad. Even if they use their second Xi , there no chance that Heart will do any damages, or even dream of trying to make a comeback, which is unrealistic. Yes, I agree, English clubs and leagues are definitely a level above and their representatives are always among the favorites to win all European club competitions.
Just look at the statistics, in the last 5 years, as many as 3 English teams have won the conference league, and the last 2 winners of this competition (UEFA Europa League), Aston Villa and Tottenham, are also English clubs.
In the Champions League, English clubs are a little less successful because the competition and quality of the competition is much stronger, but still in the last 8 seasons, 3 English clubs have won the Champions League.

Besiktas is currently really well dominating the game but currently its still 1-0,i expected at least few more goals from Besiktas.
