I also sometimes think that I wouldn't want to see France and Argentina in the final this year, but fate has it that we'll see the strongest teams in the final. I don't have any problem with Argentina winning the world cup again for the second time in a row. Infact, that would mean breaking a new record for FIFA, but just as you said, fairness in the game is the only vibe that regulates the thrill to every countryman, without having a disproportionate feeling of being cheated in one way or another. To be honest, we've seen FIFA leaning towards Argentina and the it's clear what the plan is.

That is probably not the case. Some of the referee's decisions  may have gone in favor of France and Argentina. But let's not forget that a goal by Croatia against portugal was disallowed. The decision went in favor of portugal. So can not  we say that the referee and FIFA helped Portugal ? When the referee has  to make a  decision that goes against the big teams, the referee is bound to be in a bit of  a dilemma. And most of the time, the 50-50  chances go in favor of the big teams. We can not  really call it bias.

There has been a lot of discussion about this issue recently, especially since the Argentina and Egypt match, which has become a more discussed topic. In fact, it was very clear that the referee tried his best to make Argentina win, directly or indirectly. So, if you think about it from all angles, if Argentina wins this World Cup too, then there is nothing surprising here, because maybe FIFA also wants this, who knows? Well OP, Morocco are out of the competition so that narrows your chances to England or Norway (depending on who wins tomorrow), and Switzerland if they can beat Argentina. Realistically, I don’t think any of these teams will be winning the World Cup. The favorites from the beginning has been France and we can see why they are the best in the World Cup. But since we are wishing, I’d mien to see England win it just so Declan Rice might win the Ballon d’Or.

I wished a different country will win 2026 FIFA world cup outside Spain, France, and Argentina, but from the way the competition is going the FIFA world cup 2026 champion will likely come from these three countries mentioned here. Spain is playing against Belgium in the quarter finals, and I don't see the likelihood of Belgium defeating Spain, Argentina is going to play against Switzerland, and France has already moved to the semi final stage, and honestly if these three countries should move to the semi final stage, one of them will likely win the trophy. In my own analysis, the 2026 FIFA world cup will likely go to either France, Spain or Argentina.

sure most fav of most people have been knocked out of the world cup already Portugal, and Egypt all this team have been eliminated from the world cup already and the fun for many of us have ended we are just waiting for the final game to call it a day, there have been a lot of controversy around this round of the world cup which have pave way for less interesting teams remaining but the fav of most of us have got knocked out.

Exactly, one can say for sure when its not really over because in football anything can happen at any day, so deciding who will win when the tournament is not yet over can make one to be upset, I know some people have already concluded on the team that will win but there are some teams that are still qualified and checking their statistics will make one to understand that there are every possibility that the teams that we might think not to win, will win the World Cup.

If I had to choose between these two teams, assuming they meet in the final, I would definitely back France. Although I also really like the way Messi has played in this tournament, except for the moments when he has been overly aggressive and allowed himself to rake opponents' legs from behind with the studs of his boots. Fans of Ronaldo wanted him to win the world cup so that he will celebrate with it as he retires from the national team but since Spain eliminated them if you decide to choose Norway as your favourite it is not a bad idea since we have Haaland in the team who is playing for one of the best teams in England Manchester City. Personally, I choose France became of my love for their young stars Mbappe and Dembele, since Brazil was knocked out by Norway, I don't mind if Norway plays France in the finals let's see Haaland and Mbappe who shines on the that day.

It might seem unlikely to some but I'd prefer for Norway to win this world cup, if for nothing else then to just see the Haaland meme keep growing, plus Norway's performance has really been admirable so far and the same countries winning the world cup repeatedly doesn't really bring much excitement to it for me.

Norway is a dark horse for now but with the incredible form they have shown so far I think this could be a worthy candidate to be world champions if they are able to bulldoze 2 strong teams currently in the same pot.

Quarter final they will face England and this will not be easy if they win the possibility of Argentina being their opponent because at this time Argentina still got a team that can be said to be easy for them even though Switzerland's performance can be said to be good because it can qualify until this stage but still compared to Argentina and some referee narratives then Switzerland will be difficult to be in the semi-finals.

I do not understand why you are a favorite of Portugal, they had very low chances to win this cup at all and it has proven. They have been playing the wrong way for a long time with a focus on an old Ronaldo that is just a bad player these days, if they had not followed this strategy that they always follow and gave chances to the other players for scoring they would have not lost so early. As for the favouritism, it is still up to debate because nobody has been able to provide proof that confirms this. Any case that has been brought such as some biased decision often was disproved by examples of similar biased decisions in other games that did not involve Argentina. We may not want Argentina to win for many reasons and that is fine, but just because they are winning that does not mean there is favouritism going on.

So many of the controversies seems to come from emotions rather than the actual rules. Individuals will always debate big decisions, especially when a favorite club is involved but it's hard to call it favoritism without strong evidence. At the end of day the good club on the pitch still has to ear the results. Fans often see things definitely depending on which club they support l, every controversial call gets magnified but if the decisions are within FIFA rules it's difficult to argue that one team is being deliberately favoured.

We are in the same category and I am a proud Portugal's fan precisely Cristiano Ronaldo. Well the Portugal weren't opportuned to go ahead in this season FIFA world cup tournament, they were eliminated by Spain, though I wasn't totally happy at that but that's football, is either you win or you lose.

In respect to either Argentina or France,  I will fully support the France to win this season world cup, I felt that the other countries are being cheated or would be cheated along the way, because it seem that FIFA officials preferred Argentina more than every others, even what happened against Egypt was so sad seriously, but anyway we still have a long way to go. France is my favorite to win.
