The money laundering issue is still under investigation, so we don't have much reason to worry about this right now. If any evidence of match-fixing or corruption is found against them, it will definitely be condemnable. Investigation does not mean finding evidence of corruption, so wait.

I have been noticing something recently that even though the same incident happened between two teams, the Argentina match incident is controversial, why is that? Before 2022, there was no much controversy about Argentina, but the controversy started when Argentina started to succeed. On the football field, the on-field referee makes decisions based on the IFAB rules, taking the help of VAR if necessary. But critics, without researching these rules, make a match controversial based on their own emotions. The referee can also make mistakes or give controversial decisions, but the protest against it should be constructive, not emotional.

Argentina is a very good and formidable team but their last match with Egypt seems very strange and questionable and here we see their football body under investigation for transferring a huge amount of money during the world cup for no good reasons. .
While the performance of the Argentina team against Egypt might beat a lot of fans thinking, we have to make a clear difference between FIFA helping a team after a decision has been made in terms of refusing a player from participating in a game and them actually helping a team win match.

While we anticipate the eventual outcome of the money laundering investigation, we have to be ready to accept one reality that it's not going to affect all the wins they've had so far. The main thing we can point to is the issue of them playing against only African teams that are considered weak and not so experienced. If there's any potential rigging from them, it's likely that the teams that were giving to them are intentionally selected so it becomes easier for them to advance to this phase.

There has been many questionable activities and events this world cup and it was all obviously clear to the world to see the stand of FIFA and all their officiating referee. Now could this likely be the reason why Omar Atharn was refused entry into the US because he would not have possibly danced to their tone of doing their dirty bidings if this findings is valid?
The overturning of the match suspension was very clear that there must be something going on which we know nothing about but since such ranting came from the potus himself, there would not be much disagreement to do the needful since they are a host nation and it contravenes the FIFA constitution when the referee is right in action.

First of all, some countries, individuals and organisations use the opportunity of attending the world cup to commit financial crimes. Besides, some other users have already said that this investigation is not recent as it has been lingering for about 2 years. The refusal of letting Omar Atharn into the US has nothing to do with FIFA. Just like the US media clarified that his restriction from entering the US was as a result of a connection with a terrorist organisation. About the overturning of match suspension on Folarin Balogun, I think it was unethical for the US government to ask FIFA to review and remove the suspension. They made FIFA act as if they have no autonomy which is very bad but I'm happy that despite all that, USA were still eliminated from the world cup by Belgium.

I don't think denying Omar Atharn entry into the United States has anything to do with the perceived shady deals involving the referee. These are just claims that have no evidence. Trump is not comfortable with some religions. He classifies some of them as terrorists. The refusal is connected to Omar's country of origin.

But I was not pleased with the way FIFA handled the situation. Omar should have been sent to either Mexico or Canada to officiate. They should have organised a special training session for him in one of these countries. FIFA is under the influence of Trump.

I heard the news a few days ago, and if it is true it will most likely change the course of the football world view towards FIFA. Not only does it damage the reputation but it will also destroy the entire ongoing World Cup journey. Interestingly, this news coincided after Argentina victory over Egypt, making the FIFA president even more cornered.
I watched two different videos on X about how FIFA president Infantino was upset after Messi missed that penalty and how he was happy when Messi got that equalizer. I have been wondering why will the president of FIFA be so emotional on Argentina performance in that match against Egypt. I wouldn't be surprised if this information is true.

This is not the first time I have heard of this news from different football influencers on social media and I hope it will be true.
I think FIFA also need to be investigated because their have been so many fans pressure toward disciplinary action that ought to be taken against the irregularities that have been taking space since the beginning of the 2026 world cup.
FIFA will be investigated on this case if there's a link or connection between this $300 million changing hands with the FIFA body or any FIFA official. I would have said maybe it's money meant for the players and the Argentina management team's logistics but the amount is huge. The US is known for their professionalism in investigating fraud cases and crimes so let's see what they will come up with regarding this case.

There has been news about the script to make Argentina wins the world cup again, making him elevated than his rival Ronaldo.
FIFA is not doing anything to make this tournament of the world cup fair enough for fans to take it seriously.
Messi had committed so many fouls and nothing have been done about it, not even a yellow card to warn him.

We see these types of news every other day but the allegations are quite serious. We have seen in past that these types of investigations related to financial transactions is always involved in major sports organisation and that is not an unusual things specially when the large amount of money passess international borders but the most important question is weather the amount being transferred as a legitimate business purpose or properly documented but if they thought that there are sign and traces of money laundering then the investigation.

But I don't think that this investigation has any link to their performance on the pitch results of any game does not needs to be treated as a financial misconduct, t if there are individuals who have violated the law then they should be accountable whether whatever position they hold but we cannot draw anything right now. We have seen many football scandals in the past so I think that accountability and transparency is necessary if we want public trust.

To be honest with you i was so shocked when i heard the news, that Argentina football association is under going investigation by FBI over a possible fraud, come to think of it, i want to ask this question, can FIFA be this corrupt because like my people always say that, there are always an atom of truth in every rumor, so if after the investigation over Argentina football association, and the FBI find nothing to hold against Argentina football association, they will definitely go free but if by any chance they have hands in this FIFA world cup tournament, the Argentina football association will definitely face the law.

It's quite funny that this news is actually coming out after their game against Egypt. It was a perfect time to release the headlines because it was certainly going to get a lot of clicks and attention. Honestly speaking, I'm not even sure of what to say considering the fact that there was a massive outrage from the supposed fans of another top player. I have always choose to be more rational, rather than jump into conclusions. There have not been an official confirmation from the FBI themselves that an active investigation is ongoing, nor has Fabrizio even attempted to talk about it. And so far, I have been active on X in the past few days, but haven't come across it.

Mind you, if there is any case of bribery or whatsoever within FIFA, it's actually FIFA's duty to carry out investigation. FBI has a limit to what they can do, which is trying to identify where those money were sent to and who received them because it came through a US bank. I honestly don't want to fall for this. Let's just enjoy the rest of their games while we still can. I look forward to more controversial news if they end up defeating Switzerland in the next few hours.

Since the US is one of the biggest money laundering institutions, and the FBI is simply trying to reduce competition with its investigations, any FBI investigation is simply a FBI investigation of itself.

You are making a point here, little wonder the US President could call FIFA out to make sure they reverse their match ban on their player, citing a past punishment against a player, and FIFA quickly lifted the ban and allowed the player to play the next match.

All the teams that played the US are easy to go teams right from their first round till they were eliminated by Belgium in a humiliating way, they never saw coming.

In addition, I think there were some words Messi made mention of….
Messi himself said after: "I cried because I felt that I let my teammates down because of the penalty I missed… but thankfully once again, God had something special for me in the end" https://www.telegraphindia.com/sports/argentina-vs-egypt-conspiracy-claims-erupt-after-fifa-world-cup-2026-last-16-clash-prnt/cid/2169237

But honestly, there has been a lot of talk about this online, in most videos I watched it was also noticeable even on X it was claimed that the intention was visibly upset when Messi really missed, and he was later happy when he scored back the goals…
And even the Egypt coach Hossam Hassan was saying a alot…
“Perhaps they wanted to keep the world champion in the competition. Perhaps they wanted Messi to stay in the running" and cited "marketing issues". https://www.buzzfeed.com/beccamonaghan/egypt-argentina-world-cup-drama-messi

There are so many videos about the failing of referees giving the Argentina team what they deserved making most of their matches to look like FIFA is projecting Argentina for the final stage. We all know that Argentina will be playing with Switzerland soon and I don't see Switzerland as a major competitor with Argentina at all.
If Argentina wins this match, they will be facing England and I know that the referee will do everything posisble to make sure that Argentina wins the match for the script to be balanced.
