The ability to switch or make decisions when something isn't going well is what makes me a better gambler, I believe it's called been disciplined, when I keep losing again and again I can decide to stop gambling for a whole week, I've done it several times.

Whenever I won some good amount I don't normally go back and use all the money to gamble again, having contented in gambling space is very rare, if I win any amount of money it's a calling that I need to quit gambling for they day.

Honestly for me I believe that it's possible for most people to learn self control and patience, but it cannot work for everyone at the same time nor easy too.  But the biggest challenge is that gambling do test our emotions, and with one moment of excitement someone can forget the limits that is being set before. If such person notice that he keeps on losing control no matter how much he tries, then going for a long break will be the next step or still stopping entirely can also be a wise decision. Give more priority to establishing self control in gambling because emotions will carry you away until you drown. The way to establish self control is to apply bankroll. Allocate a fixed amount of funds for gambling.

Gambling for entertainment is good, whenever you gamble with the intention of making money, it will make you addicted. I think patience and restraint in gambling will not be of any use if you do not limit the money allocated for gambling.
