I understand your perspective and broadly agree. The difference here is when a real newbie feels an unjustified tag is given and when a merit hunting low quality poster wishes the same deceased forum member peace in the same thread on two different occasions 9 months apart. He received a merit for the first one and zero merits for the second. On top of that the post history of the Anthony Bill account is enough to indicate this is not his only account.
I agree that he had been looking for merits. But do you think we should tag all the accounts that want to take such merit advantages? We really don't know either if it's a farm account or not, but lately, account farming from the beginning is useless. Whether they have merit or not, they still could spam the bounty section. But yes, high-rank account farmers matter for us. Admins, especially theymos, aren't too strict about merits unless there are merit sale allegations against merit sources.
You have a valid point. I have in the past removed and/or revised tags and not only that, until quite recently I have also engaged with many nefarious characters that have tried to have tags removed.
I understand why you would put forward flexibility as an option, I broadly agree with that view. I will probably start responding to those PMs (asking for tag reviews) again in order to keep a channel open.
Better, so far good decision. Give them second chances if they deserve and changed their behaviour. Be flexible, nothing personal here on the forum.
I do not know what you are writing about here. What is a second chance? Ask this guy who wrote the JollyGood PM what he will do to get one or more merits. You know, such people can sell their mother; their poverty and greed close the eyes of their conscience.
I'm not going to dramatize the situation too much, but I've seen similar bastards who write posts INSINCERELY but for the sake of merit in other topics, in topics where people really offer condolences and regret and even cry for those who are no longer with us.
But then a little man came with his own mercantile goals, seeing that there was a chance to suck up a little (not even to a living one, which is very upsetting) and get merit. If I were in the OP's place, I would slap a negative tag on this bastard🤢 .
JollyGood did the right thing. There is a limit to everything. You can bake pizzas in ten hands; you can lick the asses of those who do push-ups and copy-paste posts from X, for the sake of merit, but when it comes to death, people here should have a stop signal.
Normal people have a rule, I emphasize. For normal people, if you offer condolences, then do it sincerely or do not write at all, and at least do not write if you did not know the person during his lifetime.
All these posts about the fact that they read the posts of the one who "left" are lies and falsehoods, and here you can clearly see Anthony Bill; this was the second post on the forum for which yahoo62278 gave him merit.
