I think that sums up gambling. You can run from $100 to $0.54 within seconds but also run from $0.54 to $100 within moments with some luck. Now imagine if that happens with $100; you'd be sitting at 20 grands! But that never happens because we can't take the same risks with $100 that we took with $0.54 for obvious reasons.

Must be a bonus buy or featured spins? Because 400x is actually pretty low for a max win multiplier on any slot. Usually the max wins are at least 10,000x or maybe 1000x at the very minimum. With featured spins and bonus buys, though, the max multi comes down, so that might be the case.

It matters in all games, all games of chance, because even if you consider yourself a good bettor and your team is unlucky today, no matter how good your analysis, your bet will still lose. And the same goes for any other card game. If you have a working strategy but are completely unlucky and it's not your day, you won't be able to win. There are some that require skill so winning is not purely dependent entirely on luck unlike slot games where winning depends entirely on luck, but yes with games that require skill it is also luck that determines the end result because this skill is only useful to increase the chances of winning instead of ensuring victory. 

With a greater chance of course we can lose money even though we have won, and I think probably almost everyone who has ever gambled has experienced this.
