However, this increases my curiosity to know whether this strategy has actually worked for you that way or is not really that possible for one to be switching in between games to recover what they had lost.
Your friend is just bluffing, or it's just a coincidence; there's no exact method that you can use to regain or recover a gambler's losses. If there is, then no casino would exist today because the gamblers would use this method to beat casinos. It's much easier to win than to try to recover your losses because pressures are going through the gambler's mind trying to recover their losses.

I cannot really say that there is a specific or fixed period of time for you to recover your losses but one thing you should understand about gambling is that nothing is guaranteed, you may never get to recover your losses. I would not even advice anyone to gamble with the intention of trying to get back what they have lost, it is better to just gamble and hope to win rather than hoping to recover losses because this mindset can make you emotional which can put you in a state where you don't really want to be in. It's a bad idea to gamble to recover.
Maybe I'm getting things wrong here, what loss are we talking about please? Is it that of gambling or what? I ask because i know that trying to recover what we lost in gambling is just like chasing of losses which we know that it is not adviceable in gambling because of where it can land a gambler to. Recovering of losses should not come to the mind of any gambler because it makes addiction come faster, it is not ideal to chase loss, I think what has been lost in gambling should be forgotten perhaps we might be lucky to win some day, those who are eager to recover there losses may have been gambling recklessly with the amount they can not afford to lose because that is the only reason why a gambler will want to recover his losses.

Chasing your losses could only lead to betting more because you have set in your mind that losses are still bound to recover, but in real life the more you bet, the bigger losses you will gained, and that's something that the casino will keep as a secret, but instead they will continue to lure the players to never stop betting until they will hit their goal profits.
Maybe for newbies this will work as they are more greedy to win, but if you have been gambling for years, its easier to accept that losses are bound to lose forever, there are no chances for recovery. That's why you have to be responsible in betting and bankroll management.

Okay, hard a friend who said that he can recover his loses within the next the few days or 3 days after, and he said; when he places bet with x amount and he loses it, he would switch over to casino game to gamble and by doing so he would be that lucky enough to recover what do lose while gambling. Then again asked again, how sure are you to recover from your previous loss and he said is 60/40, within me I know that is not possible because the probability is actually very poor.
Does your friend do it with consistency? Switching between games, and then magically getting lucky in the next round? Setting a day to recover those losses is definitely what we call "chasing losses", and I think you already know how it normally ends up, right? Your friend relies solely on luck. Is luck consistent? I don't know if there are people who are constantly lucky, especially in gambling. One thing every gambler has in common is accumulating more losses over time. I don't believe someone is consistent in recovering losses. There are days when we can actually recover what we lost from the past few days, but most of the time we won't.

That your friend is lying, because he might have been lucky before, once or twice, doesn’t make it a thing that he can boast of. Slot games are not skill-based games that he could say based on his skills. The winning is guaranteed. It's a totally different case, so he should wake up from the belief that before he set himself up by losing more than he could be It is a lie that there is definitely a win in slot games. Slot games depend on complete luck. However, there are some games like roulette, mines where gamblers can profit very easily. But the winning amounts are very small and if a gambler sees himself properly disciplined and starts playing the games, then he can profit a little. The profit amount is very small. Realistically, casino games never make a gambler recover his money very easily. But gamblers can make small profits by changing the game. But this is possible when one maintains real discipline.

Firstly,it isn’t an easy task to accomplish such fantasy because gambling has to do with game of luck and chance,so you trying to recover your loss means you’re only expecting more loss ahead waiting for you. It’s similar to the scenario of moving one step forward and going two step backwards,so instead of going through that financial stress it’s more convenient to use your resources rightly.I am not trying to say that using your resources to gamble isn’t rightly but it should be done in a right approach by setting a limit and managing your time you spend in the casino.

Your friend might not be telling the truth that he always recovers his losses when he switches to casino bets. There is no guarantee that a gambler will make a profit when he places bets. Your friend is simply chasing losses, and this is not an attribute of responsible gambling. I gamble with what I can afford to lose, so I forget about my losses within a few hours. But some close wins might be painful, and I still forget about the incident easily. I also don't consider chasing or recovering losses because it has destroyed the finances of many gamblers.

In reality, no one ever really recovers from a loss, even if you manage to recover in the short term, you end up still being in a loss in the long term. And whenever a gambler insists on chasing a loss with intentions of recovering from a loss, they’ll still end up incurring more and more losses. This is the reason gamblers are advised to stay away from the idea of attempting to recover from losses.

There are actually gamblers who can manage to recover their losses, but it does not happen all the time. Even professional gamblers are aware of it. This is the reason why if you experienced losses, don't dwell on that so much, or else reality will hit you that most of the gambling losses never return back, they remain losses forever.
Setting a target that in 3 or 5 days you will recover your losses, that will only make your losses more painful. Don't focus on betting to simply gain an income or even make a living, but gamble to entertain yourself, at least you know that you just pay the price for such entertainment.

Within myself i believe that it's actually hard to recover what someone lost why gambling and there is no day you can quickly recover what you lost today or last few days. If you're lucky you can recover what you have lost in gambling for two weeks in one day, gambling is by luck and the higher your stake the higher your wining..like example, you if you're gambling with $50 and you lose two times and you tried gambling with $150 once, and luckily you win, you have recover your previous loses... Like as i said, not everyone will be lucky to recover what youvlost in gambling, do you know that the mindset of recovery what we have lost in gambling, has made almost 70% of gamblers to be addicted in gambling....

Are chasing losses now ? Lol ... You obviously should avoid anything that relates to either having a profit target in mind when you gamble or worse try to recover what you've lost already mainly because that's actually the start point of a losing streak. The more you try to force the win the more you lose. It's high time people people actually accept losses the moment they make deposits to play because that's actually the easiest way for you to not try to force bets.

That's a tattered ideology from your friend, by now you should know this sort of strategy isn't worth becoming curious about, what's the certainty of me replicating similar strategy used by your friend and recovering my losses? The only proven strategy that works in gambling is luck, and we can't have it always, don't plan to copy his strategy.

What beats my imagination is someone who losses on let's say betting on sports and thinks to recover the amount lost by playing casino games. Such a person must have a lot of time in their hands first of all, to even sit for hours trying to achieve this feat. That's the worse form of chasing losses and am sure it may look like a good idea, but trust me after trying this a few times the loss doubles. Why not just stick to one game if at all or switch between casino games while giving break before trying sportsbetting or another different game when the brain is calmer and confidence has returned.

Whenever am gambling and am losing, I don’t really calculate the amount which I have lost because that’s going to tempt me to try and recover my loss, but am always having gambling limit, and whenever am gambling I don’t exceed my limit. If I notice that am gambling and am already exceeding my limit, I do stop gambling immediately, so that I won’t end up gambling with the amount which I know I can’t lose. Okay, hard a friend who said that he can recover his loses within the next the few days or 3 days after, and he said; when he places bet with x amount and he loses it, he would switch over to casino game to gamble and by doing so he would be that lucky enough to recover what do lose while gambling.
When you are desperate to win back your loss as a gambler, you might just end up losing more money, because you going to be making some decisions which you are not suppose to make and it’s because you are desperate. When you gambling don’t even have it in mind that you going to recover your loss within a particular period.

Your friend is just being delusional.. When it comes to gambling, nobody can say they are 60% sure they will recover their losses because there is no guarantees at all… All bet or casino game is an independent gamble, not a continuation of the last one.. All of this his move is what use to trap a lot of people in gambling addiction.. After losing, they will be convincing theirselve that trying one more time will help them win it back..

Recovering what you lost while gambling is possible, but that doesn't mean it's predictable, because in an attempt trying to recover your lost funds, you might end up losing more and more. And for that reason, it's impossible for gamblers to give a specific timeframe by which they normally recover their lost fund while gambling. And when it comes to this case about your friend claiming you could recover his lost funds within 3 days of gambling, then it's possible that he might have been lucky for a couple of times, and he subconsciously thought those were the products of hard work, not knowing it was mere luck. So to me, this mentality of recovery funds is one thing I think newbie gamblers need to discard.

This is like running round a cycle without heading to nowhere since it's actually what we can just answer within ourselves without making a big deal from it. However, theirs is no actual time we can recover lost, what is gone is gone already, the best you can do for yourself is to move on and forget about it. Because the more you keep striving to get back your lost is the more lost you get, and even if you decide jumping from one game to another thinking that will save you, then you are still a new comer that still have a long way to go.

I guess everyone already knows the answer, and we all have the same thought, it's hard. I've long stopped thinking about recovering my losses. If it were that easy, I would have already quit gambling.
I believe your friend is lying, as if he can always do that. I don't believe him at all if he says he can do it consistently. There is no such thing. Lol.
Ask him this: since he's so confident, is he in overall profit or at least break-even? If his strategy really works in casino games, do you think he would stop using it? I don't think he would pass up that opportunity if it were actually true.

Recovering what you have lost in gambling isn't really guaranteed and that's what is called loss aversion, this is not advisable because it is going to make you as a gambler lose more in the long run, you are not supposed to chase losses by gambling more because this is going to make you take irrational steps. There is no specific period of time that indicates when a gambler would recover losses, don't just find yourself involved in such because it is dangerous.

<snip>
In gambling there is no recovering of any loss. It is not a debt that the casino owes the player which the player can recover. What is lost is lost and gone forever. If the player wins in the next game, it doesn't mean they recovered what they lost, it just means that they won and were lucky this time. The "loss-recovery" mentality is one of the very slippery slope into gambling addiction that many players have been cautioned about. I don't see any difference between it and chasing losses. Does anyone else think this way?
