There are no guarantees that losses will have chances to recover. Some have remain lost forever, that's the reality with gambling. And if you are here gambling just to chase your losses, you should have not done it in the first place, because even in trading its impossible to chase your losses, it will only grow your losses in the end.

Let's just bet using our discretionary income so that once we lose, at least there's no need to chase it. Those who expect to recover their losses are definitely those betting with a huge amount that they can't managed to lose.

Getting your money back is impossible, neither quickly nor slowly. I'd say you don't get your money back, you earn it again. And you have the illusion that you've gotten your money back. But you shouldn't think that way, because ultimately, you're fooling yourself. Losing money is losing money. Many people go quite far in this self-deception. They lose money at the casino for years and then earn it again, thinking they've gotten their money back. Over the long term, they've suffered a significant loss. In short, the loss is irreversible.

The answer is very easy.
The more you play the more you will lose. Genereal rule in gambling you can't recover from what you lose.
Ok you can scream "bingo" a couple of times in your life, but jackpots can't be counted as real chances.
The only way to beat the house/ get profit is just related bonuses and "odds" that have a real statistical advantage.
In both cases casino doesn't like it and you can get banned. Or you get heavy limits.

I don't think anyone has the ability to recover loses when they want, if it where possible loses would not be much. But if you check the rate of loser in betting, they are very much higher than winners. Everything about gambling is luck base, although skill and strategy also help to increase the chances of winning, but that is not a guarantee that someone will be sure of recovering loses with comfort as if it was within his power. The ability to win is just totally by luck.

Isn't your friend a bit naive? Is he really that confident? How does he understand that he's gambling, where the winning percentage is practically minimal? With this approach, it's quite likely he'll continue to lose money.

When you start thinking about recouping what you've lost, it's a sure path to addiction, which will develop into something dangerous and uncontrollable. Perhaps it's time for you to have a more serious conversation with him about this?

There's no guarantee of recovering lost funds, it can happen simply because luck is on our side. In my story, I did often bounce back after a lose session, but I realized it wasn't because of my own skill. Changing the game or whatever else won't change a thing, as long as luck is on our side, we’ll be able to achieve good results, secure early wins, pull off epic comebacks & so on.

I don't want to believe you are thinking all that transpired (the success and all of that) is all by his will,  certainly no way, if not for luck I don't think he would have recovered all he lost so far. Certainly it was luck that saw he through and i just hope that didn't get into his head to start thinking he's good, otherwise he will be amazed how he will get raid financially in a short go if he doesn't throw away such wrongful hyping, it's just an advice.

Not hard to recover the money fast, even if the gambler try to recover the money slowly, the gambler should not be disappointed for more losses that might follow.

That is it and my second paragraph explained it already just as you said.
One thing I know is that when someone loses their bet while gambling they can switch to other games but is not really that easy for them to restore or recover what they had already lost so quickly, although that could take them days but if time not taking at the process of trying to recover the initial lost they would still incur more losses.

I don't really know what some people might think gambling is by assuming that they can get their lost funds after several loses.
Any money that has been lost to a casino should be forgotten and the idea to recover any of them may not work and it could cause severe  gambling addiction as a result of that. Once I've lost something it's gone forever, it won't be the reason why I will start looking for ways to make more money or try to recover what I have lost, it doesn't have to be in gambling, I don't like doing something for the sake of what has turned out negative in the past, it blocks incoming goodluck in the future, let what has gone stay gone.

Normally when you gamble you aren't suppose to use a lot of money, you aren't suppose to end up in that situation where you will need to get what you have lost back, this happens only to those who have high expectations from their gambling activities, they want to make life changing money from gambling which I personally believe that it's greediness, gambling can make your rich but that's if you are lucky enough to be one of the 1% of such lucky people, the chances that it will never happen is very high.

In gambling, I only believe in luck that can recover all losses. If you're not lucky, then all you get is more losses. If your friend had that ability, shouldn't they keep making money? Or at least they wouldn’t be upset about losing because they have a way to get everything back.
Sometimes switching games does bring luck, and some people deliberately move to another casino to try their luck elsewhere. But that's not a strategy you can rely on repeatedly.

I have different approach to loss recovery than OP described. His friend and people here posted number of days they think they need to recover mentally and let situation go. I simply calculate amount lost and number of hours/days I need to work to earn that amount. This means I can say exactly how much time will be needed to recover, because it depends on how much I have lost. Nevertheless, I dont even think about loss recovery much. I have lost and I am ok with that. Who handnt lost in gambling? Life goes on.

There is no specific duration to how long it takes to recover what was lost, it could be possible that you do not recover your losses or it takes longer than anticipated to recover your losses. Recovering losses might not come once, it could come in multiple wins after several losses or accumulating more losses on the contrary.

A healthy gambling habit would not advise chasing your losses but rather knowing when best to stop playing to refocus and continue with a clear head and not one clouded with emotional decisions that could worsen the situation. Gambling is a game of luck mostly and the time to win can never be predicted, it could come when you least expect and fail when you're so sure, chasing losses is never the best option.

This the effectiveness of this strategy relies solely on the luck factor which is impossible to exactly determine since casino games usually has  random result.

When I played games most of them is the most awaiting in advance of course there is a listed number of events already and by that you will filter it out which one is your favorite teams and has a good odd and you think it has higher potential winnings. But when it comes in losing the game it depends how large we are talking about i do every other week to play gambling, and of course I do not have much that money to sustain this kind of activity now if the amount will large enough to cater number of days or weeks I guess this took over a month or like if I have a budget again, we dont rush playing gambling we are there just to entertain, so ideally depends on how much it is, also I do have coping mechanism such as exercise not to stress with these games so its okay to have this intervals.

Gambling have its ways of distracting your brain, you need to be mindful about what you feed your mind, as a gambler no emotions should be attached to you, gamble for some other reasons in your mind and not for money, because it's better this way.

No strategy or plan has proven to be effectively working in gambling, mad not switching games. The illusion is that it might work at a time and for some people, but it can't be replicated by them over again, and not to mention other people. I even see switching between games to be riskier than one game because it could constitute nuisance and lack of focus if care is not taken, which I don't think is positive to any gambler.

That strategy is not work for me because I can becoming emotional and can't think clear. All I want is recover my losses and don't think about the losses that I can get. But I admitted that some gamblers can recover their losses by changing the games but not many gamblers can get it.

This makes many gamblers lose more and also lose controls. If you are curious, you can try by yourself and see the result but you need luck to win which will not besides you in the other gambling games.
