Most of this airdrops are fake and has no records on crypto community. Someone introduced air drop on telegram and includes a fake link where the air drop (atom) will be mined,  since is in a group I was patient enough to see the outcome.

Am already use to seeing all this fake airdrops, so we just have to be careful, because that’s the strategy that some scammers are always using to defraud people. We should know that most of the airdrops out there are even fake, and if you want to participate in anyone, then you should make sure you use a new wallet that you have no coin in, don’t use the wallet which you are using to hold coin. Also we should know that fake airdrops cant be scrab from the system that’s why we are suppose to be careful.

This days anytime you see a fake shitcoins in the market, the first thing they do is to announce their airdrops because that is the only way they can get a targeted audience and those that are hunting their airdrops are the channel's through which this scammers get their scam to the general public, alot of bounty hunters are not even aware of they contributions to make scam happen to others through their engagement and promotion of those so called shitcoins projects.

There are many airdrops that are fake and capitalize on curiosity and FOMO. It's better to use a different wallet, but it's not foolproof as some fraud attempts to also deceive users in attempting to get them to sign bad transactions or give them their seed phrase. Before engaging with a project, check to see if it has a valid team, community and history. Any airdrop that asks for private keys, payments or unusual permissions on wallets is most likely a scam.

Am sorry to break this bad news to you that a project can have all of this and still be a scam, because most of them are very patient in building a strong community, but once they finally launched the token, they will start issuing one to five dollar as reward, while they themselves has made millions from it, but the community are left with nothing or closer to nothing. So all these you made mentioned doesn't define a good project, because they can still have all these in place and still be a scam.

Any airdrop that asks for private keys, payments or unusual permissions on wallets is most likely a scam.

I quite agree that a valid team, community and history are no more a guarantee that a project wouldn't scam it's investors over a period of time, they might take a longer time to rug pull than projects that doesn't have founding histories. The fact is that airdrops have lost their appeal so I can say that their era of being genuine have passed and scam projects are leveraging on the past reputation of airdrops to scam people, I think that it is useless to be diligently doing tasks that doesn't give any meaningful rewards instead the project will scam it's investors. I wonder why ignorant people still fall for cheap scams of giving out their private keys and using their main wallets so that their coins will be drained, there is need to be constantly informed in the crypto market because the rate of scams is alarming.

Can we actually go a single day free without having to worry ourselves about scams? I guess not because the system have been designated with so many features and we know how it all works, so we should be keeping our hope alive for the future? Shitcoins and airdrops will also play a role to ruin our plans if we're not careful enough. These days, we should be upgrading our styles and exploring because the market is no longer the same, alot of things have changed round here and it's time to move to the bigger space.

Learn the routes these scamming projects takes and the team behind them, because they always operates discreetly and it's our job and making research to ensure we don't fall victims, although there are some of us that don't care and only care about making more money in the market, those are the ones that are easily trapped by these fraudsters.

I don't think it will get cleaned up shitcoins and airdrops have been around for years. How could it be cleaned up? It would only happen if people stopped chasing these fake schemes. After all, if there are no buyers for the product, these scammers won't want to waste their time. Unfortunately, it won't be cleaned up, because there will always be newcomers to crypto who resort to these methods in hopes of making easy money.

We have to look at the reason shitcoins and those airdrops were create in the first place if we want to know their chances of getting cleaned up. Shitcoins are mostly created by scammers who want to enrich themselves through cryptocurrency. They don't care about the growth and prospect of the shitcoins they create and as long as they can find the right words to convince people to buy into whatever they created, they are good to go. So failure is not just one of the options for those projects, it is the only option. The same goes for airdrops that we are seeing now, they create them to farm engagement, build community and then dump on the people.

I understand that it will be hard to stop the existence of shitcoins. And scam airdrops as most of them are still alive because new investors keep coming to search for some easy money. Waste of a modern day fox in the meantime will never cease to have a target. Lots of shitcoins are launched on hype and not utility And lots of airdrops are specifically created to create engagement. And draw in customers prior to the project loses steam. The answer is not necessarily to hope these schemes will go away. But to make education a priority. And to have investors do due diligence on a project. Before they invest their time money or personal information.

Shit coins are the coins which has no specific purpose an their is no use case of it niether they use for any transaction fees . As Bitcoin and ETH has linked with latest technology Shit coin has no sach links . People who mkae this coin they do not show their identity . They make it with fake ID people who make it use social media as Facebook, Twitter, Telegram to creates its hipe so that investors invest their money in it .
 We can not trust on the price of these coins because the price of these coins can pump any time and on the other these coins face a severe crash that their price go too low that exchange delist them

Their hipe create at social media too much high so their price grow up and people buy them and when its price go so high so develpers sale their all coins therefore the investors face a very big lose . Then Shit coins are dead at 99 percent and their developers  run away with money.

Can't this fake coins or airdrop be scrab out of the system?

Sadly, fake airdrops cannot be completely removed from an open system. Anyone can create a token, a website, or a Telegram group. The real protection is education and caution before connecting a wallet or approving anything.

A genuine project should not pressure people at 2 a.m., ask for secret codes, or make “free” tokens depend on sending gas first.

If the opportunity disappears when you take time to verify it, it was never an opportunity.

During the era of Telegram airdrop hunt, people spent a lot of months and time  mining different tokens. When it was time for them to be rewarded, they got little reward from some airdrops that can't be measurable to their efforts while some airdrops asked them to pay a fee worth around $3-4 before they could claim their token, those that paid the money was scammed; they never received any token after paying the fee. So what I can say to you is, you were lucky enough that you didn't pay the gas fee needed for you to claim your mined atom because you would have been scammed.

I believe that the main reason alt and meme coin especially are called shit coin is that they falls more than they rise, and I agree with you that they have the potential of making you a lot of money since it's an asset with high volatility, but because they are not reliable on the longer run, that's why they are called shit coin.
As for airdrop, it's no longer what it use to be in the past where after doing all the promotions, they will now rewards you with something that will make you want to engage with it again, if the opportunity arises. But right now they will just make mockery of the effort you put in to promote the coin by giving you the coin that is not worth up to $5, while on most occasions, you will not even see anything from it after paying some money in form of gas fee, so I believe that the days of airdrop are gone.

This is the reason why one of my friend said that nothing will ever make him to do anything that has to do with airdrop, there was one those airdrop maybe you might know the game like tapping airdrop in telegram, it was a popular rubish as of 2024, many task was given to individuals at different stage of the tapping, my guy was seriously tapping it, going through the stress but to cut the long story short, after all he did, the time wasted, he was given $4 equivalent to the rubish he was tapping when they launched it, from that day he decided that nothing will ever make him waste his time on such things again, although he was not scammed but he was angry for time consumption and the mobile data that he wasted just because he wanted to make free money, I think people should be more careful with airdrops wether it is in telegram or anywhere because shady developers are everywhere looking for whom to scam and also the days airdrop seems to have past.

Can we also talk about the way participants hype projects, say all sort of good stuff about the project and then when they are given allocation, they went and sell everything on the market and leave the team struggle with the project. Half of people that claimed airdrops don't many contributions to the project, they do what they can to game the system for their allocation and once they get access and sold everything, they went back to their ways like the project does not exist.

Until the teams that create projects work on everything about the projects they do, I'm tired of this pump and dump, I know that altcoins can never be like Bitcoin but let's try and change the way we do. I'm tired of this coins that we dump, it's the altcoins that are losing credibility in the market and when people speak about altcoins and crypto, they will only have bad things to say, no good things.

The funniest part is that no matter how bad of disappointment people has been through with airdrops you will be surprised at how people will still participate if they are opportune with any, the truth is every day more people get interest in cryptos and it's related, new people become more excited, most people feel that they have nothing to lose which is not true as it requires your time and a data for Internet connection and paying some money for gas fee in most cases is even secondary, anyone participating in airdrops should have zero expectations even if you are going to benefit from it as that has to do with luck.
