I watched this game and commented on it when the first half ended without either team scoring. I didn't imagine there would be 4 goals in the second half. But when the first half ended, I immediately started believing that Sporting wouldn't win and that my parlay was lost.

The funniest thing about this game is that until the 59th minute, Sporting had scored 2 goals while Estrela Amadora had 0. For a big team like Sporting, anyone would think "those guys have already won the game..." but it's unbelievable that Estrela Amadora scored 2 goals and the game ended in a draw. It was clear, at least, that Sporting wouldn't be able to compete with Porto.

When Benfica scored very early, at 10 minutes into the first half, I thought: "Was I wrong about this new coach not being capable?" But then I started to see a lot of selfishness from the Benfica players; each one wanted to score even when they weren't in the best position and their teammate was. It immediately occurred to me that they wouldn't win that way, and I was right. The game ended in a draw. With the childishness that certain Benfica players showed in that game, I'm convinced that these guys won't be champions.

As expected from Porto, these guys, in my opinion, have everything to become champions again; only a stroke of bad luck would make them lose the title.

In Porto's case, a team like Porto winning the game with two goals scored from penalties against Alverca doesn't demonstrate that much quality. In the end, what we saw was three teams with performances that were a little below expectations, but one of them had more luck, so to speak. Either way, it's part of the game.

Maybe the reason was that Benfica were tired after the Europa League match, where they beat Hearts 6-1. Because that match was just three days ago. The dressing down should be channeled into fixing how they defend together and the defenders in total. That was the opening game of the season and one can see that if they the backline is not secure and able to defend themselves when taking the lead, they're good as dead. The way they conceded those two goals disturbing for a big club like them. I mean through a corner and also a set piece kinda goal.
Above all, they played good football yesterday, but good football without a proper defence is like shit.

I can agree to these self-centered shots, when they should have passed the ball for the teammate in a better position for goal. I expect changes and upgrades ahead of the next game and if they fail to do that, they will see themselves conceding goals.

Moreirense managed to secure a draw at home against Sporting Braga. Both teams scored early in the match, and although Braga took the lead in the 66th minute of the second half, they were unable to keep their goal secure in the final minutes and were forced to settle for a draw in this away match. Braga dominated the match and was closer to winning, but they were unable to prevent the last-minute goal and returned from the away game with just one point. It’s not a bad result for Braga, but losing two points in a match you were leading until the very end is, of course, disappointing.

Benfica dominated the game throughout and I was surprised they didn’t get a win after playing 28 shots and only managed to score two goals. The manager needs to improve his style of play. They need to convert their chances into goals because it was disappointing to draw the first home game in front of the fans.

Porto is the only team among the top four teams to win their opening game of the season. The champions prove they are ready to make history again to defend the title. But this is too early to judge them. Let’s see how the season goes. I think you also forgot to mention Braga, which also drew their first game of the season 2-2.

It is the first game of the season. I know it looks disturbing seeing some great teams, which we expect to perform at the top level, getting this kind of result from the first game of the season. But all I want to say is that this is just the beginning of the season, and there is a long way to go. It is very possible that their second match will not end in a sad result.Another thing is that some certain teams that we saw were weak last season may not be that weak this season. They may have improved well enough to give some top teams a tough time. So, it will be better if we don't start judging now unless we see them play a few matches.I was also disappointed with Benfica and Sporting because I had some level of confidence in them that they would win their matches, and that was what made me bet on them .
