The country economy was in shambles, even side jobs aren't cutting it anymore, the only option I had left was to find a job online, they I got into some Ponzi schemes, a bad way to start the journey but it exposed me to Bitcoin.

This was how I heard about Bitcoin but I never looked into it because I was using Fiat in the Ponzi, but after the Ponzi scheme collapsed I began to be curious about Bitcoin, it went well and I had to learn about Bitcoin mining too.

Mistake I did was getting exposed to alternative coins, I was once of those chasing after the next Bitcoin, I wanted to find the early birds, thinking something else will beat Bitcoin in a matter of few years, and I've been wrong all the time.

The fiat printing press, resulting in continued inflation and devaluation of said currency.  It takes more and more fiat to get less and less goods and services.  With Bitcoin the polar opposite has been proven to be true many times now- deflation and increased value over fiat.

Everyone has a different journey into Bitcoin.

For some, it was the technology. For others, it was inflation, self-custody, or simply watching Bitcoin survive multiple market cycles.
What was the turning point for you?

Was there a specific article, book, event, or personal experience that made you take Bitcoin seriously?

What makes me know and love bitcoin is from my own brother who is successful in the journey and i think if he was succeed i can also do the same, i have been seeing it in different places like paper and online advertisements but i don’t pay too much attention to it but after seeing how people believe in it I was inspired by their work, bitcoin is truly the best investment in the world because with the story of bitcoin shows that we should always believe in what we are doing, people that believe it from the beginning are the people that enjoy it at the end and i also believe that there is more good things to come from bitcoin in the future.

I grew up in a household where only my father worked, and what he earned was more than enough to support all five of us.

Now, people in our generation can barely afford to buy a home. Even paying rent has become difficult, and most young people don’t have any savings because they simply don’t have enough money left to save. All of this has recently changed the way I think about Bitcoin.

What more can I ask for? I don't want to really ask for bitcoin globalization and government full acceptance, because that could mean losing the decentralized factor of bitcoin which is a huge advantage for us.
Unfortunately, this is where it is heading now because they are taking down decentralized options like instant exchanges where we don't have to register. They are the last resort. Once they start their crackdown against them, it will be almost certain that they want to control the flow through centralized platforms.

Money is power, and these governments have controlled us by controlling our money. If we start controlling our own money, then they can't force us into anything. Currently, many governments are so unfair that they are making a lot of money while keeping their middle class and poor class in the same situation. People are not able to earn more than they need for food. They are stuck and can't save enough to break the cycle.

It is not natural but intentional to control them, get their votes, and carry out corruption by taking international loans.

Well, it turned into a political post, but in short, bro, this is what is happening, and eventually they will force us to use centralized platforms only.

Been following Bitcoin up for a while from social media, although I didn't understand it at all, not to mention the cycles. Then the price kept increasing, from $15k that I started monitoring it closely to $25k, then and it got me more interested and I started looking for more knowledge about it. I met a friend and he introduced me to the forum and since then my belief in Bitcoin has intensified and I'm holding it now.

I've always liked the idea, where my money worked for me instead of sitting in the bank. I could have sworn honestly that I knew about bitcoin a long time ago, but because of lack of knowledge and limitations to information barely showed interest in the market. Then bitcoin and Eth were still very low in price but I couldn't get my hands on solid information or did I know anyone who was already into it. But upon joining this forum I got to understand a lot. Things I feared then became something of ease because I now understood in depth what bitcoin is and why it exists. So no, there wasn't any specific thing that got be closer to bitcoin other than the knowledge I got from this forum and I'm really grateful to all members who shared their knowledge to make me understand to till now..

What was the turning point for you?
It was the price of bitcoin that became a turning point because imagine after all the criticisms that bitcoin is a scam but i watched the price of bitcoin creating one ATH to another. The kindest growth was when the price of bitcoin hit the ATH of $100k, it created a buzz on the internet which led many people to start investing in bitcoin. The news when the price reached $100k was widespread, everywhere was screaming bitcoin and even those who doubted bitcoin started saying positive words. In fact, the price of bitcoin hitting $100k was the turning point.

Was there a specific article, book, event, or personal experience that made you take Bitcoin seriously?

Two things motivated me to take bitcoin seriously. I invested in Ethereum and bitcoin at the same season but in the investment of Ethereum I lost massively because the time I was buying it the Blockchain was congested and for that the transaction fee was very high and the movement was very slowly. I waited for 8 months but the investment was not moving upward instead it was coming down and with that anger, I sold them off. And when I invest in bitcoin, things became progressive. And it move well.

At first it was just something I used to hear about, it was worth alot of money and things like that till I finally got to know what it really was and that was thanks to this forum actually, it moved from an expensive stuff that rich people owned to something anyone can buy if they put their minds to it and now it's effectively a part of everyday life seeing as I'm here on the forum daily, it's now an asset worth buying and holding.
