As long as you keep holding for a long term without sell, as the years goes by the value of Bitcoin will keep increasing so no matter how little you can be able to be accumulating consistently for a long term definitely you will surely make a good profit at the end of your overaccumulation stage.
In investing, no strategy can guarantee that you will make a profit until you get your profit, no matter how long you hold it. Remember that anything can happen at any time, so it is wise to be patient, but there is no guarantee that you will make a profit just by being patient. Again, you will not achieve anything good by being impatient. So you need to change your perspective and have realistic plans and expectations. If someone accumulates a small amount of Bitcoin through DCA strategy with long-term discipline with the remaining discretionary income after meeting all the family expenses, it will eventually turn into a very large asset, which will help you keep the investment for a long time and grow the investment without any additional stress or risk. Later, if the price of Bitcoin increases, you can make a very large profit with this small investment by selling it.
Yes, it is not just patience or long-term investment that will make an investor profitable. Patience is very important when investing in Bitcoin. Similarly, consistency is also important. Consistency makes all the complex tasks of life easier. The same is true for Bitcoin. If you maintain consistency in Bitcoin, this habit will make it easier for you to invest and you will be able to continue investing with more interest.

Through the DCA strategy, your small investment in small amounts will eventually turn into a large asset. Although you will not be very profitable in comparison, you will own a good amount of BTC. And if in the future the market price of Bitcoin is higher than your average purchase price, then there is a possibility of profiting according to the difference between the purchase price and the sale price by selling these small investments.

If someone wants to profit from Bitcoin, then he must wait for the right cycle and the right time.

Later, if the price of Bitcoin increases, you can make a very large profit with this small investment by selling it.

You are largely correct about profits not being locked in until they are, yet at the same time, for example, if a bitcoin investor had done a large amount of his bitcoin accumulation between 2016 and 2020 so most of the bitcoin accumulation came prior to 2021, it could well have had been the case that such a person would have accumulated most of his bitcoin with an average cost per bitcoin that was less than $5k per bitcoin.

So in that case, right now, such a person with an average cost per BTC that is less than $5k per bitcoin could have quite a bit of confidence about the value of his bitcoin stash, even though sure, it is possible that BTC prices could drop a lot, there is still a lot of comfort with the passage of time and especially if BTC prices have largely settled at much higher prices as compared with the prices that the guy had paid for his bitcoin after many years had gone by.

Edit: After posting, I see also that in the above post, Lembo69 had made some similar points as I made in my post.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Those who have huge wealth can further increase there wealth through Bitcoin and those with small income can also get benefited from Bitcoin. It is also best investment for people with small income who can spare something for Bitcoin every month. If they keep investing that small money regularly in bitcoin for years then it can be a good retirement plan for them. The key to success with Bitcoin is not how much you can invest but what matters is the consistency with which you are investing and your patience. If you have these two things then you are clear to get good profit in the long run.

For the fact the bitcoin is accessible to both wealthy and low income investors doesn’t mean that it is the best investment for everybody nor does investing in it consistently guarantee good profit for anybody.

Personally, I’d refrain from proclaiming that Bitcoin is the best investment that anyone can ever do because i know that people have different financial goals, risk tolerances, and preferences, so they are very free to choose the investment asset that best suits their overall circumstances.

Now back to my earlier point, even though consistency and patience can improve your chances of benefiting from Bitcoin over the long term, they don’t eliminate the risks involved neither do they guarantee positive return for you or anybody..

I am actually curious to know which asset you think is better than Bitcoin presently, because in the past ten years, Bitcoin has proven to be the most profitable and most reliable investment out there, and it's still filled with a lot of potential which shows that their is so much room for more growth in the future.
I am not implying that other investment are bad, no. What am trying to say is that all other investment cannot be compared to Bitcoin in terms of profitability if we are going by the past ten years performance wise, so in my own perspective that is enough reason to believe that Bitcoin is the best asset to risk your money on, if you're thinking of investment.

Maybe you should start considering the future or now than the past ten years, that’s in the past you can’t go back and invest in bitcoin back then so let be more realistic and stay in the present, right now bitcoin is good investment but not the best investment because their is no best right now, it’s a matter of preference than best, if you think you can make it through bitcoin you can.

The more years pass bye and the more cycles elapse the more bitcoin become less performative in terms of numbers so it’s now a matter of the rich being more beneficial in the invest as long as as they have more capacity to invest then the regular person. Just know that there will be no equality in anyway, bitcoin tried to bring that but right now they have driven bitcoin to be like other assets where the rich still remains the rich.

Just know that there will be no equality in anyway, bitcoin tried to bring that but right now they have driven bitcoin to be like other assets where the rich still remains the rich.

Each of us still has to consider his own personal factors, which includes timeline for the investment and then also how many bitcoin had you already accumulated versus other assets that you might haver accumulated.

The op in this case seems to not have any other assets and he is new to bitcoin, so then there can be a question for guys who might be fairly young, and they have very little assets already accumulated, and then if they look at their options for where to put the discretionary income that they get from working, which might not add up to be very much. Many folks struggle to consistently save and/or invest up to 10% of their income, and surely if someone is brand new to investing and if he is ONLY able to save and invest up to 10% of his income, then there might not be a lot of value in diluting his investments into any other assets besides dollars and cash until he gets his bitcoin portfolio size up to a certain amount, whether that is 1 year of his expenses or some other amount, and yes those are personal judgement calls, and not everyone is going to have confidence in how to allocate, yet I have troubles considering that there might be some asset class that is better than bitcoin, even if it may well end up being the case that in the coming 10 years some asset classes might end up performing better than bitcoin.

Guys are not necessarily going to choose their allocations in the same ways, even though some guys might end up being more correct than others, and I am not sure if there is a need to shoot for perfection, rather than perhaps hoping to be directionally correct, and starting out with bitcoin and cash seems like a good place to start to build while studying the space and considering if some different allocation might need to be made.

Of course, if a guy has already built up other assets, he is not rescued from the dilemma of whether to reallocate any of those other assets into bitcoin and/or how much to focus on making sure to have a sufficient bitcoin allocation as compared with other assets that he might already have.

Guys with multiple assets and even an already existing bitcoin portfolio are in a better position than those who are starting out with nothing, yet at the same time, they do not get out of any dilemma that they might have regarding either reallocating or just sticking with their current allocation and figuring out how much of their new value will go into bitcoin versus other possible places that they could put their time, energy and value.

Personally, I’d refrain from proclaiming that Bitcoin is the best investment that anyone can ever do because i know that people have different financial goals, risk tolerances, and preferences, so they are very free to choose the investment asset that best suits their overall circumstances.

Don't spread the virus that makes beginners misunderstand here. If you assume Bitcoin doesn't guarantee good profits for anyone, please look for assets that are more profitable in your opinion. After all, here there is no discrimination against anyone.

The fact that Bitcoin is accessible to both wealthy and low-income investors actually shows Bitcoin as the best investment for everyone, after all, consistent investment almost always provides good results for anyone in the long run. The entry level is also the lowest and fairest, those earning $300 or $1500 per month can both start at $50 or lower, there is no minimum or maximum. While other assets such as property, stocks, or businesses require significant capital, Bitcoin is the only asset anyone can start investing in. If your goal is financial independence, Bitcoin is the most democratic asset.

Investing in Bitcoin is almost always profitable in the long term. The reason I say that is because data from the last 15 years has shown that anyone who consistently DCA for 4 years or more almost never loses. So, don't misunderstand Fluctuation, because it is a feature, not a bug, precisely because fluctuation allows investors to get more Bitcoin when the price drops.

It must be admitted that people's financial goals are different, but it is important to emphasize that everyone has a basic goal, to fight inflation, have assets, and be free from financial problems. Bitcoin was designed to meet these three basic needs, a limited supply of 21 million, it cannot be printed by banks, and it can be stored independently without a third party. So, regardless of risk tolerance, everyone ultimately needs a resilient asset and I would say Bitcoin is the best digital hard asset right now.

Later, if the price of Bitcoin increases, you can make a very large profit with this small investment by selling it.
Maybe newbie investors needs to keep hearing that bell ringing that "Bitcoin investment is not guaranteed", but nothing bad anyways to remind everyone. I believe cleanslate just took the assumption of the  high tendency of profit in long-term investment which history or time past has proven to be true, that is why it now seems as if cleanslate is sounding very much sure that there's going to be a healthy profit in the long run therefore encouraging accumulation no matter how small progressively, continuously or consistently. Bitcoin investment is not guaranteed but as long as Bitcoin exists there's tendency of making profit mostly holding on to long-term that has proven itself reliable to a good percentage.

If people fix their mindset of the fact that profit is not guaranteed in Bitcoin, maybe they might never see it as investment option. Who knows, maybe it could be the reason why some are yet to be convinced but then is their any investment with a guaranteed profit? Every invest has it's but the one that's more manageable matters.

What made me believe in Bitcoin is the historical facts it has, even though the value is less predictable due to volatility the history of Bitcoin has made me believe that it would maintain a progressive nature in the future which gives long term holders an advantage over people who trade with it.

There is nothing wrong in ssomeone facing reality and accepting that profit is not guaranteed in Bitcoin. It doesn’t mean Bitcoin is a bad investment and that they shouldn’t invest, the mindset is even what will help them to understand the risks involve and make better decisions. Every investment decision should start with “that understanding”

What made me believe in Bitcoin is the historical facts it has, even though the value is less predictable due to volatility the history of Bitcoin has made me believe that it would maintain a progressive nature in the future which gives long term holders an advantage over people who trade with it.
The purpose of repeatedly reminding newbies that profit is not guaranteed is not to keep them away from Bitcoin. Rather, they should determine their allocation in such a way that they do not get completely destroyed if their expectations are wrong, even if they believe in Bitcoin’s potential. People usually make an investment with the expectation of getting into a good financial position in the future. So it is not wrong to expect profit. The problem arises when all current financial decisions are made with the potential profit as a sure result. For this, one should invest with money that can be held for a long time and does not panic due to price volatility in the short term. And the past is certainly not unimportant. The history of Bitcoin has shown us that a strategy of buying and holding regularly for a long time has generally yielded much better results than frequent trading. In this case, two types of mindsets should be kept when investing in Bitcoin.

First, Bitcoin gives good profits in the long term, which is known from the past. And the strong point of this is that Bitcoin's profit can be several times.

Secondly, as good as that possibility seems, profit is not yet guaranteed.

This idea is not contradictory. Rather, this idea will keep an investor away from trading. From discretionary income, DCA will be done according to the long time mindset. The mental stress will be reduced and the backup fund will protect him from force selling. So, not only do beginners have to be given the hope of profit, they also have to know and give an idea of the risks correctly. As a result, even if he invests aggressively, he will not weaken his financial position by investing overaggressively.

C’mon now, don’t be using your personal investment asset preference as a general yardstick for everybody.

If you strongly believe that bitcoin is the best investment asset for you, that’s fine and totally reasonable but don’t come here and act like it’s a must for your personal conclusions to be applied universally.

It’s coming across as though you’re proclaiming that you know what the best investment asset is for everybody; which is obviously near impossible unless you’re psychic like Charles Xavier.

Having said that, i still stand on my earlier position.

I am not gonna proclaim that bitcoin is the best investment asset for everyone because i personally don’t believe that there’s any single investment asset that is universally recognized as the best like you @Barikui1 put it.

Perhaps you seem not to realize that different people have different preferences, different financial predicaments, different risk tolerance and so they are the one’s that get to decide for themselves which asset they think is the best.

My point is simple, what every individual will consider as the best asset will in most cases differ from person to person and so the fact that bitcoin has outperformed some other assets in the past doesn’t invalidate my point.

The historical performance of bitcoin is certainly a factor to put into consideration, but that is not sufficient proof to your claim that bitcoin is automatically the best for everyone.

Don't spread the virus that makes beginners misunderstand here. If you assume Bitcoin doesn't guarantee good profits for anyone, please look for assets that are more profitable in your opinion. After all, here there is no discrimination against anyone.

But that’s the hard truth, why do i need to sugarcoat it to protect your feelings?

No matter how impressive bitcoin’s past performance was, it doesn’t guarantee you or anyone future profits even though we as investors might have expectations of getting profit but that’s all it’s ever gonna be, expectations not certainty; know the difference.

I love bitcoin so much that i decided to own some, if i had some sort of dislike towards bitcoin i would buy it with my money.
So your statement “please look for assets that are profitable in your opinion” is a baseless statement and it’s not really any of your business the asset i choose to invest in.

If someone is investing continuously in Bitcoin for long term then during course of his investment journey, he will have situations when he has some extra cash available like getting a bonus from his job or he has spare cash at the time of dip. Such situations are an opportunity to increase your Bitcoin stash specially for those who don't have adequate number of Bitcoins. Those who are determined to increase the number of Bitcoins they have, will take full advantage of such opportunities. Our first goal is to increase number of Bitcoins we have, then its possible to see good profit in future if price of Bitcoin goes up.

If a long-term investor receives money that is unexpected, such as a sudden bonus or any additional income, he can use this extra money in his investment. However, not only in investment, but if there is a financial deficit or if there is an incomplete fund, this money can be used. That is, it can be used in any case consistent with the financial plan. Someone may suddenly get some extra money, he can use it in Bitcoin. However, some may have an incomplete emergency fund or are under debt pressure, at this time, using the extra money in this case can be a relief for some. The main goal should not be only to increase the amount of Bitcoin, but the main goal should be to build wealth in accordance with one's financial situation. When the price drops, taking advantage of the opportunity by investing additional money can be a good strategy, but this strategy will be reasonable only if it does not harm daily life and financial responsibilities. Therefore, ensuring investment from discretionary income and buying extra money from unnecessary money will make it possible to take advantage of the opportunity and at the same time avoid unnecessary financial risks.

Instead of calculating the profit from the savings stage, think of it as an asset. Profit can come but it takes time. Bitcoin protects your savings from inflation. If you keep the money that you used to keep in cash or in the bank for 4-10 years or more in Bitcoin for the same period, then inflation will not allow your savings to erode. Because the interest that the bank pays and the inflation that is increasing day by day, if you calculate it in the bank, the savings can be eroded even if you keep it. You can save in Bitcoin to protect your savings from inflation. But the profit will actually be seen later. And Bitcoin may have a 200% profit. But no one knows how long it will take. No one can say for sure how much Bitcoin can go up in the future or how short-term volatility will bring it down.
It's true that buying and holding removes stress, it deattaches emotions from market, which really helps us in trading. And at some point it helps in building our capital you see when we make transaction, exchanges cut their fees, etc. But profit is guaranteed, that makes no sense here in trading. Don't give false sense of security. When the market faces sudden massive corrections, these people who were promised guaranteed profits panic and sell at a loss just to save their remaining. And it is volatile 20 to 30% a week is considered volatility. New traders who are not prepared might be shaken out immediately. I agree but, hold for long term and sell, but don't lie to yourself their is nothing guaranteed in this market.
