Bitcoin holding is the most important and it is the best sign of patience. If you are patient with Bitcoin investment and buy Bitcoin consistently, then you will definitely have the chance of success. Because the price of Bitcoin has been increasing gradually since the past, so if you are able to invest in Bitcoin at this stage, then you will definitely be able to eliminate financial shortages in the future and be financially successful yourself. So, be patient in Bitcoin investment and continue to buy and move forward into the future.

Not sure how long I need to hold Bitcoin to have opportunity call income as success than just income. So far we are we uncertain when will Bitcoin price goes up and reaches current ATH. If it gets back to ATH, our income will only be doubles. As it is asked in topic, small investment, then it is needed to wait nobody knows how long, just to double the money. I think buying top altcoins have more chances of bringing good profit. At least you will have more opportunities to gain by fixing small profit monthly.

1. Buy Bitcoin immediately with all the money.
I don't agree with the idea of buying Bitcoin all at once with all the money. No matter how optimistic you are about Bitcoin’s future it is not wise to ignore basic financial planning.People invest to secure their future and that of their family. But that doesn’t mean you should ignore the present when thinking about the future. If you don’t have an emergency fund you and your family will suddenly be in financial trouble due to medical expenses job loss, or a family emergency. Then you may be forced to sell Bitcoin even when it’s not the best time.So build an emergency fund first. Then invest regularly from your discretionary income using DCA and keep a long-term mindset. Successful investing in Bitcoin doesn’t just depend on buying more it depends on having a plan that helps you stay invested through market ups and downs and life’s uncertainties.

Yes, it is not just patience or long-term investment that will make an investor profitable. Patience is very important when investing in Bitcoin. Similarly, consistency is also important. Consistency makes all the complex tasks of life easier. The same is true for Bitcoin. If you maintain consistency in Bitcoin, this habit will make it easier for you to invest and you will be able to continue investing with more interest.

Through the DCA strategy, your small investment in small amounts will eventually turn into a large asset. Although you will not be very profitable in comparison, you will own a good amount of BTC. And if in the future the market price of Bitcoin is higher than your average purchase price, then there is a possibility of profiting according to the difference between the purchase price and the sale price by selling these small investments.

If someone wants to profit from Bitcoin, then he must wait for the right cycle and the right time.

If someone is investing continuously in Bitcoin for long term then during course of his investment journey, he will have situations when he has some extra cash available like getting a bonus from his job or he has spare cash at the time of dip. Such situations are an opportunity to increase your Bitcoin stash specially for those who don't have adequate number of Bitcoins. Those who are determined to increase the number of Bitcoins they have, will take full advantage of such opportunities. Our first goal is to increase number of Bitcoins we have, then its possible to see good profit in future if price of Bitcoin goes up.

Very correct, a golden opportunity to stash up. But it is also based on personal target, increasing Bitcoin stash would mean that your target is not yet met. Investing in Bitcoin continuously can easily means using DCA strategy and when opportunity of extra funds that is almost all discretionary is received, increasing Bitcoin stash maybe during a dip becomes an added advantage. Honestly this will multiply the investors chances of getting good profit in future.

If people fix their mindset of the fact that profit is not guaranteed in Bitcoin, maybe they might never see it as investment option. Who knows, maybe it could be the reason why some are yet to be convinced but then is their any investment with a guaranteed profit? Every invest has it's but the one that's more manageable matters.

What made me believe in Bitcoin is the historical facts it has, even though the value is less predictable due to volatility the history of Bitcoin has made me believe that it would maintain a progressive nature in the future which gives long term holders an advantage over people who trade with it.

Bitcoin is unpredictable, and we can’t get what we need sometimes from Bitcoin. We all have that mindset that Bitcoin is always for the long term, and if you invested in it and have patience, you will surely get what you’re chasing for long. If you’re an investor, you will always put Bitcoin in your plan to invest. It’s not only for transactions, but for holding if you wish to keep, and you will probably achieve profit when the price increases.

Anyone can make profit in Bitcoin, but the more you invest, the higher your profitability will be. We should always do what we can afford. Invest what you have, not to impress anyone that you’re investing huge. Later, if you’re not in good condition, you start regretting for investing too high.

[edited out]
just like I said learning about wallet from the start is very essential.

Even though learning about a wallet from the start and even before you begin is your own personal choice, it is not required in order to get started.

Yes, many of us know that buying bitcoin through an exchange (and holding coins on an exchange) subjects a person to a lot of third party vulnerabilities, and so there is no assurance that they have the bitcoin, yet if a guy is starting out with $100 per week, or $10 per week or some other relatively small amount, he can figure out at what point he believes that is it good to learn about self-custody wallets and also how urgent he considers it to be both learn about self-custody wallets but also to put self-custody into practice.

For sure, everyone  is entitled to make choice regarding self custody wallet that's if they are going to learn about self custody wallet from the beginning or they wait until they get started with Thier Bitcoin investment maybe after investing to some certain point, they can start looking for ways to learn about self custody wallet just like you said.

However, I didn't mean to say that a beginner must learn about Self custody wallet before getting started. learning about self custody wallet is optional especially for those newly investors, Then I said that the source I got my information about Bitcoin investment taught me about self custody wallet from the beginning and it does not take long for me to understand that. the reason why I gave this reference is due to what Sim-card said in his previous comment that learning about Self custody wallet is more like touching the technical aspect of bitcoin.

So in my own view, I think it is part of the basic things a beginner need to know that's depending on the source they are learning from because from the source I learnt from, I was taught about self custody wallet as part of the basic knowledge. or let's say maybe the source didn't take it slow and steady they were so in a hurry to explain that to me. as for most people and / or source, they will take it slowly  maybe (bit by bit) and not being in a hurry to explain everything to the newbie so that they don't get fed up or even forget the ones they taught them earlier.

It's a shame that considering how long you have been here, you have still not understood that investment in alt coin is like gambling, and even the top alt coin you are speaking off is not that as good, reliability and have the confidence of most investors, but rather the top alt coin you spoke of are still shitty, but are less shitty as the other alt coin, not that they are not shitty at all .

So it's high time you understand that risking your money in alt coin when Bitcoin is available will only land you in regret , because this your quest for more profit will only get you burnt, since alt coin will always shows it true colours of falling more than they rise sooner or later.

1. Buy Bitcoin immediately with all the money.
I want to understand this statement, are you referring to buying at once which we know that it is not all category of investors that can do that, or are you saying that an investor should buy with all the money they hadlve which is not a good suggestion because it is not adviceable for we to buy bitcoin with all we have left when we have attended to our essential needs, however, I'm sure that you know much about discretionary income, if that is the fund you are referring to, it is ok we can actually buy with it, purchasing Bitcoin outside someone discreationary income, can be risky, of course you know that our discreationary income differs because of how much source of income we have individually, but that is if one can be able to figure it out properly, I need an explanation on what you meant by the subject I bolded.

Of course, it's not everyone that has the brain to learn fast just like you did which makes it more problematic for those who are slow learners to catch up fast. Learning about wallets might slow them down because you don't know how long it will take them to digest it. Which is why I said that there's no reason waiting to learn about self custody wallet in my post. If you have your discretionary income, you should get started the only information you need is an exchange to buy your bitcoin from.

We give criterion that aren't necessarily needed to start your bitcoin investment in the beginning and call it basic knowledge. What's basic for you might not be basic for the other person because our learning pace are different. If you have already started and you're a slow leaner, you have all the time to learn slowly as you go because you are on a long term investment journey.

Currently, I still accumulate my weekly bitcoin and store it in an exchange, when it's up to $500 or more that's when I transfer it to my self custody wallet because I am trying to manage my UTXO properly for the future sake.

When the market faces sudden massive corrections, these people who were promised guaranteed profits panic and sell at a loss just to save their remaining. And it is volatile 20 to 30% a week is considered volatility. New traders who are not prepared might be shaken out immediately. I agree but, hold for long term and sell, but don't lie to yourself their is nothing guaranteed in this market.

Look, we are following the strategies to hold the market in the long term, it is best not to talk about trading here. Because it is better to have such discussions so that those who invest in Bitcoin for the long term do not panic. It is very easy to hold Bitcoin in this current position. Those who invest in Bitcoin by following the strategy, those who do not follow the strategy basically fail to survive for a long time, so they can sell at a loss.
Therefore, if you invest in Bitcoin through patience and continuous purchase, it will definitely be possible to succeed in the future, so following this strategy is the best and best.

The statement you replied to was carefully explained that profit is not guaranteed. However, you again said that if you buy regularly and patiently, future financial crises will definitely be eliminated and success will come. Which seems to me to be an additional guarantee.
Patience, long-term planning, regular purchases can improve your investment potential, but none of these can guarantee results.

Someone may be buying regularly, but if he does not keep his separate savings in case of need, he may be forced to sell during a price drop. Again, even if you buy small amounts regularly for several years, your collection may not be large enough to completely eliminate financial crises. Therefore, although regular purchases are a good strategy, it cannot guarantee the results of our investment.

So build an emergency fund first. Then invest regularly from your discretionary income using DCA and keep a long-term mindset.
If you're a brand new investor and don't have any form of savings on ground, there's no need to continue wasting time as a no coiner to build an emergency funds first before getting started. It's good you start immediately, provided your discretionary income is available and build your emergency funds simultaneously with your bitcoin investment to avoid delays.

You can divide your discretionary income into three equal parts. You use the first 1/3 to DCA regularly weekly and the second 1/3 to build up your emergency funds till it gets to at least three months of your monthly expenses and the last 1/3 for your discretionary consumption.

Altcoins will put you at big loss because it's gambling and it's useless to DCA on altcoins because it's only a long term asset that is worth DCAing on. Brand new investors should avoid altcoins because they depreciate in value overtime.

The likelihood of something like this happening where you get a bonus just around the same time a dip happens might seem unlikely but it's actually something that happens, like right now that bitcoin is currently in a dip and someone receives some kind of bonus from work or monetary gift then they can decide to buy the DIP with this morning, the same thing can also happen with lump sum where the investor doesn't buy because of or during a DIP but receives a bonus and decides to buy bitcoin with it

...
There is nothing wrong in ssomeone facing reality and accepting that profit is not guaranteed in Bitcoin. It doesn’t mean Bitcoin is a bad investment and that they shouldn’t invest, the mindset is even what will help them to understand the risks involve and make better decisions. Every investment decision should start with “that understanding”
For Bitcoin, such an understanding seems appropriate for every investor, so that when they first invest, they don't immediately expect large profits and avoid immediate frustration when faced with losses due to Bitcoin's price decline in the market. However, for other investments, I don't think this is necessarily the case. Investments like land don't require such an understanding, especially if the land asset is strategically located. Therefore, in this case, it's clear that every investor should have the basic mindset you mentioned so as not to equate Bitcoin with other investments under any circumstances.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

[edited out]
Our level of financial situations are differs and it would never be the same, so hoping that one's financial investment plans to work for every individual can never possible.

I doubt that I would be hoping that everyone is successful in their financial plans and practices.

I did say that their choices will have differing results, and hopefully for their own good, they are able to at least directionally get it right.

The most relevant things to do is having specific aims and stick consistent with it, than thinking deeply about looking for perfect balance from starting.

Sure.  Having plans and practices, and perhaps from time to time, tweaking the plans and practices based on learning and/or based on changes in the circumstances.

If guys are paying attention, they will likely have ongoing changes within their 9 individual factors.

New investors should focus on developing the habit of regular investing with discretionary income and savings also, because once thier are comfortable with thier income, experiences and grows confidence, trust me they will have a room to reviewing thier own personal decisions and then make an adjustment to it, many people makes mistakes of looking for a perfection by delaying thier action on starting. The facts is, one can only make a progress while learning and moving forward regardless, so instead of some newbies to copying someone's financial plans, it's better for them to choose a strategy that matches thier capability long-term mindset that would be valuable to them, remaining patience no matter the market condition and maintain the risks management.

I would imagine that many of us participate in this forum in order to get ideas from other members and to share our own ideas, and even in the process of sharing our own ideas, we may well improve upon our ideas and practices, based on our having had figured out ways to communicate them and to share them with others.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Yes, the forum where we all exchange views increases our knowledge, through which our ideas and working methods improve. The discussions about Bitcoin that always take place in this forum help a new investor to make his investment sustainable. I learned everything about my investment from this forum. Just as I have benefited, I hope other members are also benefiting in the same way. If a new investor who has no basic idea about investment at all, stays in this forum every day and exchanges views with everyone, I think it will not take him much time to become an expert in investment.

If bitcoin is at $64k and me as a small investor bought with $1k, for me to make 100% profit bitcoin will have to hit $128k, that is still feasible
But if I'm hoping to make a 200% profit on my investment bitcoin price will have to get to $256k, how achievable is that ? And if it's achievable how long is it going to take
This example is, of course, very accurate and mathematically significant. Virtually everyone needs to bear this in mind when it comes to investing. Over the past 10 years, we have seen incredible increases in the value of Bitcoin. We could say that this was not anticipated by the general public, yet it has generated very, very high returns in percentage terms. But now, as in the example above, when the price rises from 64k to 128 and then to 256, how much profit will we make? I believe Bitcoin will always reach such high levels that we’ll find ourselves saying, ‘Wow, I wish we’d bought it at 64k.’ It will reach levels we’d describe as incredible. But for the average person’s investment, buying at 64k and waiting for 256 is, frankly, a bit of a stretch. It might be difficult to wait for that with sums that are significant for one’s livelihood. We could say that ‘hodling’ was easier for those who bought Bitcoin in 2020, for example. From now on, making big profits won’t be easy for small investors.

Your obsession with profit is on the high side and going on with the kind of mindset, it will be very hard for you to ongoingly invest in Bitcoin  because you will only be chasing after the next shitcoin that promises you plenty profit. And why the fuck would you think that shitcoin is better than bitcoin huh? Don't get blown away by those little profits that shitcoin bring, because that same shitcoin can get rugged pull and those quick profit wouldn't mean shit because all your money is lost.

Yes bitcoin does not give fast wealth like shitcoin but it has a highe chance of bringing good returns when person ongoingly invest in it for long time.

When you ongoingly invest in bitcoin, don't see it as a waiting game. Just see it as an opportunity for you to now be ongoingly building up your stash while also ongoingly learning more about bitcoin and strengthening your understanding, which can eventually make you a better person than those lots who keeps fucking around with shitcoins.

Bitcoin is king

Those who have huge wealth can further increase there wealth through Bitcoin and those with small income can also get benefited from Bitcoin. It is also best investment for people with small income who can spare something for Bitcoin every month. If they keep investing that small money regularly in bitcoin for years then it can be a good retirement plan for them. The key to success with Bitcoin is not how much you can invest but what matters is the consistency with which you are investing and your patience. If you have these two things then you are clear to get good profit in the long run.

For the fact the bitcoin is accessible to both wealthy and low income investors doesn’t mean that it is the best investment for everybody nor does investing in it consistently guarantee good profit for anybody.

Personally, I’d refrain from proclaiming that Bitcoin is the best investment that anyone can ever do because i know that people have different financial goals, risk tolerances, and preferences, so they are very free to choose the investment asset that best suits their overall circumstances.

Now back to my earlier point, even though consistency and patience can improve your chances of benefiting from Bitcoin over the long term, they don’t eliminate the risks involved neither do they guarantee positive return for you or anybody..
I honestly understand your point but personally, I won’t put it out that way that bitcoin is the best investment but rather one of the best investment.
For sure they are other good investment people can do, as well as bitcoin investment is not for everyone. It might favour me and might not favour the next person, there is no investment that doesn’t involve risk, that’s why people are free to go with any investment of their choice.
Also bitcoin investment has very high risk but even at that, it has proved to be a good investment to venture into, to help build wealth over time and also considering the high risk, so many people were successful doing it and that’s why most people just recommend doing it, not like it is ever guaranteed for anybody or the best.

That's really a great approach, Also not everyone learn quickly that's why there's really no sense for people to wait to learn everything first before start buying. Because actually starting buying on trusted exchange they know is enough to start their investment.

What also matter is they have discretionary funds then everything will just actually follow once they already start buying.

Also your current action is good because by doing that you manage well your UTXO and avoid paying extra fees on exchange. This is simple organizing and could make everything easy to follow. Also this mean at all that we don't need to master all of things just to start because taking initiative to start right away will play huge role on our future.

Facing reality is the first step toward becoming a prudent investor, this must be rationally accepted before buying Bitcoin, as no one can guarantee that its price will rise tomorrow, next week, or next month. The reason most investors continue to accumulate Bitcoin is not a desire to get rich quick, but rather its strong fundamentals, scarcity, robust network, and the ability to self-custody their holdings. They know that Bitcoin is a risky investment, yet they have strong fundamental reasons to continue gradually increasing their holdings. There are no guarantees, but there is a probability based on scarcity, adoption, and history.

I assume the mindset you are referring to is a resilient one necessary for staying the course; if beginners want to survive in Bitcoin, they need to adopt the attitude of "I could be wrong" which ensures they invest only using discretionary income and "I will keep learning" from this forum by drawing on the experiences shared by others and past mistakes. There are excellent opportunities for beginners with limited capital to make a profit with Bitcoin; just avoid going "all-in" start small, keep learning, and store your holdings securely.

I put it to you that you should come up with any investment of your choice that you think is better than Bitcoin or has done better in the past ten years, because you are failing to understand that Bitcoin is nowhere near it peak price, so their is still a lot of room for more growth, that's why investing in it is a lot better than most of our traditional investment.

On the aspect of risk, yes it's as risky as every investment out there, so we should stop emphasizing on risk as if other investment out there are risk free. The only and the best way to mitigate the risk attached to it is by buying and holding for a very long time, not by constantly checking or monitoring it that may compel you to sell prematurely.
