This is something unbelievable that when you so much have believe on something or even so much trust a particular Team win they often failed people. Realistically I didn't even believe that Spain could win Argentina 1-0 where even most of my friends where fans of Argentina including me because I have that trust on Argentina.
To my latest surprise, Spain took over by 1 and that is what its ended with.

I have been supporting Spain since I was a child and I have always supported Spain. I support Spain even if I lose, I support Spain even if I win. I had faith in Spain from the beginning and had full confidence that Spain would do something good, and Spain was very strong in this World Cup. I did not bet on the final match of this World Cup because I had bet on the semi-final match between Argentina and Switzerland and I lost my bet here, which is why I did not bet on the final match today because before the match started I was in a lot of doubt about the two teams, although I supported Spain.

I initially had faith in Argentina, I thought they were going to defeat Spain,.but as the match progressed and they started to be left behind by Spain, I immediately knew there was something wrong with Argentina. They could not get close to score goals, they seemed to always be in a defensive position, they did not seem to care to defeat their foes. They did not even have enough possession on the ball, in the same level Spain managed to get.

I am not surprised Argentina lost this match, because they did not play well enough to deserve to get the cup in this tournament.

The final was very surprising. Argentina did not have a single shots on goal, but Spain had 12. Even Spain dominated the field which was also very surprising. It was not like I am watching the world cup final. I did not know what actually happened to Argentina, but Spain that deserved the world cup won it. But if not because of that red card, it is possible that Penalty might be played.

This the reason why I said bet or gambling usually work the opposite, and when you would be thinking and having confident on specific team to give them direct winning then it would end up disappointing the person.
I think, I have really learnt something big from this game because when the populace is going the same direction then going on the opposite could actually be the winning team.

The possibility was there,  that's why it's called a game, who will win is unknown, even if one part look stronger than the other it doesn't mean anything, and also the hordes all bet on Argentina winning.

Too many people I knew all bet on Argentina as the winner, people were too focused on Messi to bring the cup back home, like it's some easy thing to do, lol.

Those who trusted Argentina are not completely wrong or unusual. TBH, that match was a close prediction, even though Spain showed they were better on the pitch. See the defense of Argentina too; that was great, sincerely. I knew Spain was better after they could easily defeat France, so I never expected less against Argentina.

I have been supporting Spain since I was a child and I have always supported Spain. I support Spain even if I lose, I support Spain even if I win. I had faith in Spain from the beginning and had full confidence that Spain would do something good, and Spain was very strong in this World Cup. And beside, I don't remember Argentina verses Switzerland playing in the semi finals of the just concluded 2026 World Cup tournament, it was in the quarter finals that this two teams played and Argentina beat Switzerland with 3 goals to 1 which is how Argentina qualified for the semi finals.
Argentina played against England in the Semi finals and they beat England and qualified for the finals which was players yesterday (not today) and they lost to Spain.

Honestly, I didn't bet on this final because I didn't have enough confidence in my prediction, I didn't have enough confidence in Spain winning the world Cup but honestly I wanted them to win. So, if I had bet on them, it would have just been a guess or following my intuition but I didn't want to risk it.  Based on my previous comment, I said I prefer not betting on the number of goal that will be scored, that's because someone said that Argentina was going to score 3 goals while Spain 2 , but I said it was going to be 1-2, which Spain scored just 1 goal and won the world Cup, I literally had no idea that Argentina would not score a single goal.

I completely agree with you. A lot of bettors convince themselves that the better team on paper cannot lose, especially if it has been in good form. But unfortunally upsets happen all the time, and sometimes just one episode is enough to change everything.

I don't know which of the two teams had the better statistics before this match, but it's obvious that Spain came into the final on a long unbeaten run, and after winning the final, that streak continues. So I can say that Spain were genuinely the better team. In my opinion, they even deserved to win in regular time. What surprised me the most was Argentina's performance, they just couldn't get anything going in attack. Its not really advisable for one to always place a bet because majority  says so without confirming anything about them and gambling is not something that one should hope on that it will go or play the way you want. What does Messi have to do with it? Yes, of course, he's a professional player with extensive experience, but football is a team game, not a slolo. Therefore, the coordinated actions of all the players determine the final result. So, it wasn't at all surprising to me that Argentina lost. It was a completely predictable outcome. Even though I wasn't rooting for either team, I watched the final with great interest. Now I'm waiting for the entire championship to be uploaded to torrent sites so I can watch the games I didn't see.

Surprisingly many gamblers bet on Argentina because they were confident in the team. They played well in almost every match of the World Cup but their performance in the final against Spain was the opposite. I find it hard to believe that they only had 3 shots on target throughout the entire period and none of them were on target. Spain was aggressive from the start of the match and played brilliantly until the last minute of the match. I can't be too sure about betting on such an exciting match so I refrained from betting.

For me, it wasn’t really surprising. Even though Argentina were the underdogs, you could still expect a lot of gamblers to back them.
