Nutildah you are going to need a separate thread to have a place to put all the complaints against dismissed sigban appeals. This thread is going to get flooded. In fact, it will get clustered by different people arguing different points... How are you planning on managing that?

Is this thread only for appealing a sig ban or can we request you to look into members we feel deserve a ban? If it's the former only, are you going to make another thread where users can request accounts be looked into or would that be too much drama in your opinion?

In our team, we actually have one person whose job is to review and rate posts from the perspective of someone who is not deeply involved in cryptos, blockchain or even in gambling.

This person is doing a very bad job considering that anyone who follows your campaign at all will confirm that it produces the most spam on the forum (especially in the Gambling board).

You notice the difference on post quality specifically on gambling board post if you will just spend time comparing their post quality to other participants specifically Rollbit/Rainbet.

The only advantage and currently bias on this signature ban is merit count was heavily being considered while lots of merit whore that truly spam the forum with nonsense repetition of Bitcoin selling/buying post was not being affected. They frequently spam gambling board with fake gambling story and football discussion post which is same with Stake participants.

With this signature ban, you are just giving the merit whore farm more slot for signature campaign. This decision will back fire if merit will always being prioritized as criteria most importantly that there’s already proof that some merit source like Smartgold was involved on farming.

Without going into the merits in relation to Gambling boards, I disagree with you because so far most users from the Stake campaign have received a sig ban. If we look at the table created by @bangjoe and add the fresh bans from the modlog we come to the point that the following participants in the Stake campaign have been sig banned : @virasog, @Akbarkoe, @fuguebtc, @Danica22, @bitgolden, @Sithara007, @Fredomago.

I don't believe this is the final number, and I don't believe that none of those who pay them for their posts could see how "quality" they are in what they do.

That's because there is ongoing paid campaign against Stake (according to a certain Stake member).

I respect your gladness here, but I like to learn what were the posts of @Sithara007 made you feel as shitposter due to spamming. Could you link to 5 posts or at least 3 posts with some explanation to justify their level of spam. I am just asking for learning purposes. Hope you find time for it.

I just read their posts where I found simple yet very good English and good engagement with discussion still bursting posts posts could be a reason which also might have led for shorter ban among so far list of sigbanned.

I just read their posts where I found simple yet very good English and good engagement with discussion still bursting posts posts could be a reason which also might have led for shorter ban among so far list of sigbanned.

Just check his topic history, the last topic he created was on September 16, 2021 which is almost 5 years without creating any topic. Some people can be like that but I do not know how they are getting paid, not replying genuinely to topics and not creating topics.

earning merits should not be used to identify quality posters because the merit system has already failed ---- people form cartels and gangs where they merit each other, moreover, there are few merit sources therefore merit circulation will be limited.

if you must sig-ban any profile, let it be on current activity. forget about the past except you are only interested in sig-banning people and don't want to see them improve

if we all should be true to ourselves, about 80% of people that registered their profiles after the ''newbie era'' are practically here to earn from signature campaigns so there is no such thing as someone posting to meet signature campaign post counts only

in respect to reducing people who only post to meet signature campaign quota, signature campaign managers should not set a minimum post count for a participant to get paid

prioritizing earning merits as a criteria of a quality poster will only bring about merit farmers

for fear that i forget, this development will increase more alt farmers because so many members will be afraid of receiving a sig-ban so the best alternative they can think of will be to have multi-accounts should any of them be sig-banned the others will continue making posts to earn from signature campaigns

in order to maintain fairness, more reputable members should be assigned to handle this position, nutildah should not be the only one

profiles should not be sig-banned just because of a single reason, let there be justifiable reasons

there should be multiple violation before any account should be sig-banned

Haha if I were to have been considered for this I would have probably declined the offer. You guys all think nutildah is just someone who has it out for you and that's nowhere near the truth. They want to improve the forum and contribute in a positive way. Just follow the rules of the forum and post with half a brain and you'll be just fine.

Nutildah did not say he has been given the power to moderate posts on this forum, he will still have to report the posts, but he is given the power to ban some users signature not to appear.

Can Nutildah moderate local boards? He can not. He can not moderate other boards too.

Even if he becomes a moderator, he can not only be doing the work. Before Nutildah, there are several moderators on this forum, if he become one, is that bad?

Could this be the loophole to these newly introduced controls, anybody that only posts in local boards and outside the lenses of  Nutildah is 100% safe. In short out of sight, is out of mind.

And btw , more likely candidates are more likely to come from english speaking boards, how does this get balanced out??

You could make this post from the affected account, there would be no consequences for that since anyone is allowed to appeal for a ban they have received.

Anyway, I had a look at the post history of Sithara007, and I'm surprised to see that almost 95% or more of the posts only consist of strictly 4 lines. I know that one cannot gauge the quality of a post based on its length, but you can't just follow a pattern and do all your posts that way. You can't convince me that a person cannot have more points about any topic that could make them write more than four lines at least a few times a day. Look at this post:

I'm trying to find a way to do this as unbiased as possible, and even though there's a large potential backlog of candidates, its probably better if I do something closer to random sampling.

Its probably only fair that I disclose the method, to make things more transparent. It will take me a couple of days to put something together to show everybody.

First of all, I will like to congratulate you on this very powerful opportunity you have just been given to issue out temporal signature ban to accounts on this forum. And I'm sure this is a great position that comes with great responsibilities, as you strive to offer your service in fairness to the general public.
However, i just tried to search this thread and the entire forum if I could get the comprehensive list of members whose signature have just been issued temporal ban and the reason but couldn't find such thread. And for that reason, I would have loved to suggest, why not you create a separate thread on the reputation board named "Signature Ban Announcement", and this thread can be used to announce new users whose signature space just got banned and the main reason why they got banned. Because in that way, it will look very much transparent to the general public. While this thread can be used for discussion and Signature Ban appeal. Because at this moment, it seems the Signature Ban is being done anonymously, and we don't have a dedicated thread for it yet.


So I will be glad if my suggestion to creating a dedicated thread will be considered by you, where Signature Ban users can be announced daily. Thanks

From all members who got signature banned, it's only familiar name for me. She (if I'm not mistaken) isn't worst kind of spammer, but it feels more like robot without own thoughts than real person. And no AI, because it was same thing long time before AI. I remember that she is used to post in all main boards, but now spamming entirely just gambling board.

I'm working on a demonstration that will answer a lot of questions. Its not easy to put together but I will have it done shortly.

A couple things worth pointing out now:

- Merit will not save you if your posts are for the most part unsubstantial and you write the same things in the same threads over and over again.

- You run the risk of being sigbanned again after your ban expires if you do not demonstrate marked improvement in your posts. Simply leaving the forum until the ban expires will no longer work.

I am currently picking the lowest-hanging fruit, and there's a lot of it. No offense meant to the affected, but that's whats going on.

It will take me a while, so there's not point in bringing up "but what about so and so" -- its simply impossible to address every type of spammer low-quality poster at the same time.

This is an English language forum. They are all English speaking boards with the exception of the local boards.

Something like that. I just decided to add 90-day bans yesterday, and I will probably add a 30-day "warning" ban down the line.
