Asking politicians to fight corruption is like asking mosquitoes to cure malaria.

There is no magical "baptism into corruption" when they take office. It's just their business model. They spend millions buying votes, lobbying, and making deals to get the job, so obviously, they are going to treat the public treasury as their personal ROI once they finally get the keys to the vault.

This is why I never see any politician as one who is not corrupt cause you can't ask them to fight the same system thar  made them who they are that's just like fighting themselves cause they are all corrupt and without corruption they will have no reason to be lobbying themselves in to the seat cause they know the profit they will make if they buy votes to get into power. Those in power decides what they do and how they spend money, it is no longer new but if we can stand to hold them accountable then we need to deal with that before they are elected.

Trust politicians at your own risk, politicking demands them to convince citizens by campaigning and sometimes decieving people to get their vote, African politicians go to the extent of bribing to get vote do they can't be trusted. However some advanced countries have come up with trust worthy agencies that track and handle corrupt politicians, over there accountability is very important to citizens but in some African countries it's tough to demand accountability cause over the years they've succeeded in supressing citizens and agencies including the law that should hold them accountable with power.

This issue of corruption is a very serious challenge that requires serious attention even as it cannot be solved by the leaders we have today.
The leaders of today never have the interest of citizens at heart that is why know matter how long we cry for help they don't even think of finding solution to the problem affecting all today.
The way this said leaders buy and find all necessary way of entering into offices one may think they have any good plans for citizens without knowing that is never part of there plans at all, Instead stealing all is what they only know how to do and will never think of changing until jungle justice is shown to them.

In every nations this set of people is certainly there, many people work for years and gather experience, become exposed to politics and leadership, admire positions and opportunities to rule, if finally by virtue of elections you're vote into an office they assume a legal rights to steal and loot public funds,
They same person who was once working with all Obedience to serve their boss, will in a long run forget the past and pursuits selfish interest, I don't know if leadership automatically baptize one into corruption in some Africa nations and other part of the world using lobby as an approach to stealing public funds. But can nation like Nigeria that is so much with corruption fought corruption? Since the supposed leaders who was supposed to fight corruption are involved?

Everyone are not the same, so far we have corrupt leaders, there are also those who are very good when it comes to leadership and the way they manage or handle public fund. There are people who value value their own reputation than amassing which wealth that is meant for public. Many countries economy are suffering today because of the activities of those at the helm of affairs, they are amassing wealth to the detriment of the people they are ruling, and their is another thing that amazes me, in the right sense, people whom we feel they are educated, and have gathered wealth of experience should have been the ones to do things well, but to my greatest surprise the people we thought they are educated are the ones leading people astray and doing things wrong.

I agree that corruption requires serious attention, but I don't think the solution is to conclude that every leader is incapable of change. The bigger issue is weak institutions and a system that often allows public officials to act without meaningful consequences. Even good leaders can struggle in such an environment.

Education and experience don't automatically make someone a good leader. In fact, corruption is often more dangerous when it involves educated and experienced people because they may understand the system well enough to exploit its weaknesses. That's why you shouldn't judge leadership only by qualifications or experience.
