too long to read? when is this?
Not yet finalized. By the way, it's not that long, you're just lazy to skim I think for a forum member that almost lurks in the G&R board.

my suggestion is to have a $5 buy-in for the qualifier rounds and those $5 will go towards a knockout bounty pot. That way we will have a $5 bounty per knockout.
If a player has to spend $5 for each round, he will not be interested in playing much. Because he can never be sure which round he will be able to advance to the prize pool. By doing this they will consider the aspect of loss and sometime reduce the interest of playing. Again since the price of each ticket of the ground final has been set at 50 dollars. So it should be taken into consideration. So my suggestion is, group stage should be kept free and attention should be made towards ground final ticket.

If you can't afford a $5 buy-in for the first rounds where you can actually win it back with just one knockout, you can't afford a $50 buy-in, or am I wrong? This free entry policy leads to a lot of problems that you are probably aware of. Complaining about a $5 buy-in is more telling about you than you think. If I were you, I would have not posted what you posted.

Great to see a major poker series back, just like in the good old days. I’ve got a few suggestions regarding both the tournament organization and the structure: 1. I agree with MVPoker that we need a small buy-in allocated for bounties. It’s not even about the bounties themselves, but rather about preventing a bunch of random people from joining for free and just jamming for luck, or dumping chips. 2. We need protection against multi-accounting, otherwise we risk ending up with the kind of nonsense seen here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5479775.0 (almost everyone is a newb with 1-3 activity, likely alt accounts). I suggest requiring a rank higher than Newbie. 3. The gap between 1st and 2nd place is too large ($1,080 - $540) . I propose a difference closer to 1.35 – 1.6x. 4. Ante should be kept small. Bounty tournaments are already naturally aggressive, and a large ante will just turn it into a total bingo fest. Better we set the ante to 10% of the big blind (even less, 5% for the Group stage). Let's discuss.

I agree as well. I think it's a good idea to have a $5–$15 buy-in, It will create a small barrier for alts.

Let's discuss. Hi Improved, thanks for the constructive input. 1. Absolutely right, Royse and I agreed already. He will post shortly. 2. We can have several metrics in place here, like account age or merit, but I fully agree that newbie with 1-3 activity is crap. One problem I see is that Telegram users are supposed to be allowed to participate, but how can we address the issues at hand? Maybe you have an idea for that. A buy-in is a first step I think, we can definitely not go without a buy-in and allow everyone to take part. 3. Already taken care of, I will have a say in the prize structure and noticed what you brought up here. One example is here, but feel free to adjust it slightly and post it here. 1 25 % 2 20 % 3 15 % 4 10 % 5 8 % 6 7 % 7 5 % 8 4 % 9 3 % 10 3 % Sum 100 % 4. Same thing, I will take care of a proper blind/ante structure. Thanks and go ahead

Good morning everyone. I was thinking how to eliminate duplicate players and focus on only serious players. I thought about the post nutildah made yesterday. I and MV is also exchanging a lot of thoughts about improving the quality and reputation of this Poker Tournament. After all, it's a tournament of $6000 cash prize!
My initial thought was to give a free whitelisting for everyone but after discussing and giving the whole thing a good insight I am thinking for a $6000 Tournament where a player has an opportunity to win 1st $200, 2nd $120 or third $80 from 6 games (6 opportunities) then a serious player should have some seriousness to pay some whitelisting fee or entry fee whatever you call it to make the tournament look more professional. Considering that I decided to offer a $30 fee for whitelisting for the first 6 rounds.
Again this small whitelisting fee is to eliminate the bad actors and to give you an improved environment around you. Whatever we will receive from the whitelisting fees, we will use it to reward knockout winners which means we are going to have bounty for your heads in all group rounds.
Thoughts?

First of all I have no problem with this small buy-in or ticket buy-in. I love playing poker tournaments, so I bought a ticket at ACPS last year and played in the ground final. But my intention was, this small buy-in may lose interest of many players. However, i understand your point. Considering that I decided to offer a $30 fee for whitelisting for the first 6 rounds.
I thought so after reading MVPoker post, it's a very good move to eliminate duplicate players. However, will there be an opportunity to pay the $30 at once? Then, I will pay the anty fee of 6 rounds together. However, seeking the right to accept LTC as payment,Because the TAX fee is very low.

Kadelvibess, Beingjaguuu, dabosky, osasshem, Kirakruz, Leahized, Ki_Luciano1, Top_teee, sundaylex1, MCVXYZ, Ksmertz, vladu89, rbynxx, Mr. Magkaisa I see you already applied for whitelisting but seems like we need to postponed it. Let's figure out the whitelisting fees and other information then I will create a separate topic for whitelisting. Sorry for any inconvenience. Stay in touch. However, will there be an opportunity to pay the $30 at once?
$30 is the whitelisting fees. And you will get whitelisted for all 6 group rounds.

I agree with everything, the 5$ buy in as well. However that might still not eliminate alts as alts can just buy in for their multiple accounts. I'm aware Discord has a way of revealing people with alt accounts using Doogle. Hence, my suggestion is for the commencement of this tournament, interested participants should join a discord group created by yours truly while you use the bot to vet participants who want to pay for the buy in tournament.

A lot of us are not discord friendly including me. So I will not go that way. We are working on a $30 whitelisting fees. All funds from whitelisting will be used for bounty hunting. Yeah this may not completely eliminate the possibility of duplicate players but it will at-least create a good barrier and we hope players will be highly discouraged to join with their duplicate account.

If a player has to spend $5 for each round, he will not be interested in playing much. A $5 entry fee really isn't a big deal for anyone who wants to play in a fair tournament without having to deal with cheaters. Just imagine joining the tournament and competing against 500 accounts all controlled by the same person. Would you still expect to have a chance of winning? Your chances would be almost zero. Without an entry fee, anyone could easily create 100 or even 500 telegram accounts and farm the entire prize pool. So complaining about a $5 entry fee makes it seem like there's something else behind the complaint. The fee is simply there to discourage abuse and keep the competition fair for everyone. I tend to agree with MVPoker on this one. The $5 entry fee is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep the tournament fair and reduce abuse through multi-account

That curve looks very reasonable, I am ok with it and I think AB de Royse777 agrees, too. Here is a blind structure that I'd suggest. However, since we don't know the total number of participants yet, it is a bit difficult to come up with one beforehand if there is a certain duration in mind for those tournaments. We were aiming for around 3.5 - 4 hours and I think if we were 50 participants, it's quite realistic. If it is only 20 participants, it is not that realistic. But as a first draft, your opinion? That would put us at an ante of 150 after 2 hours and I think that makes sense.

$30 is the whitelisting fees. And you will get whitelisted for all 6 group rounds. I just took my time reading through the discussion as I've not been active here. However, it is actually a great idea creating a barrier for those account farmers. $30 for all 6 rounds is fair enough... Plus having a bounty. It's a wonderful idea and I concur to it. So, when is the deadline for whitelisting so I don't miss out. Nice one Royse777, it's been a while since I played poker and I'll be happy to participate.
