This has been happening for months now.  Ojengonggu (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1042116) was wearing the Rainbet signature and avatar too when he was necroposting (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5568749.msg66186599#msg66186599) back in December of 2025.  He has been banned since.

If you find any other accounts like this, please let me know.

These 32 inactive accounts were first identified in this thread.

The idea is to send a message that account farming on this scale (or any scale really) will no longer be a profitable endeavor. People can still do it in the bounty section to their hearts content, I don't think anybody really cares what goes on in there.

In this particular case, the chance of there being a mix-up or misunderstanding is none. But I went through with the sigbans only after putting it up for discussion.

What's 2 years to an account farm that hasn't been used in 5.5 months?

Are you sure its not being used?

Its almost impossible to find a reputable source on Google about "passive SEO link saturation", but if you put that into duckduckgo or whatever you use you can probably glean what its all about.

Such links have no special value in the long term. To have a positive impact on SEO, the page (profile page) where the link is posted would have to have some kind of views, and these are looks like archived.
But they can certainly help with new domains when search engines do the first indexing.

I don't think that's entirely true. The mass count of links on the site contributes some SEO strength, although not as much as links in posts that have active impressions.

Thanks for adding the "AI spammer" in parentheses, to help people instantly differentiate. I decided to neutral tag high-scoring AI spammers to indicate the reason for their particular sigban. For everyone else, the score should be enough information.

I'm finding that if an account's previous feedback indicates they were having problems with posts, the score tends to validate these feedbacks, but not always.

Since seeing that some scores of users affected by Sigban tend to be the same, I chose to pin the Marker According to the neutral Tag you provided.
Some users affected by sigban also don't have any tags.

I'm finding that if an account's previous feedback indicates they were having problems with posts, the score tends to validate these feedbacks, but not always.
Yes it works enough and affects the final score.
Like on the Kasabus account that already has the AI Spammer Neutral Tag that you gave a few weeks ago and in 2021 from another DT member.

But for the Mhizlove account, because you just gave Neutral Tag AI Spammer , it doesn't affect the Score and the Score is still high even the same as the score I have.

Fear keeps people in line Wink Tryninja's "before and after ban" shows near real-time graphs of the reduction in posts.
Note that this reduction is tiny compared to what the 1 Merit for Jr. Member change brought. About 8 years ago, Bitcointalk had 353813 posts per week, now it's 23065. That's 93.5% less (although not all of those posts were spam).

I find this to also be shocking:

Imagine writing a hundred posts before you get two merits, across thousands of posts... Can you fathom it? Does anybody actually want to read these posts? The answer is already evident by the conspicuous absence of basically any merits whatsoever. These posts are so bad the campaign managers don't even read them. Well, now they won't have to.

That's actually more than I expected: it's only 8.6 times worse than the average post (~4000 Merits per week and ~23000 new posts).

More shocking if we see many shitposts with merits.

Shitposts are always problems but merited shitposts bring more issues as they're likely necessary ingredients and nutrients for spammers to firstly rank up, next boost their spams to a higher level. It's like an exponential spam endemic in the forum as they have natural need of using AI to support their spams.

There are big differences between genuine spammers and AI spammers and I believe AI spammers (with merits) cause more problems. It's quite funny to see they try to humanize AI-generated posts because if they can spend time for such attempts, they can genuinely make their own human spam posts.

It's still human.

I'm sorry, these two days I'm on vacation and only carry a mobile phone, I'm not used to editing long lists using a small screen, not the same as when I use a PC.

BTW we already have more than 100 forum members who have been exposed to his signature ban less than two weeks after nutildah was given confidence by theymos, and it seems that the forum is starting to improve significantly, indirectly this policy is very appropriate to discipline the users of this forum.

The list has been updated. Wink

It depends from the sections. Getting merit in the gambling section for example is less likely than meta or any other place. Making some efforts (AI generated in some cases) to post a graph or a table summarising something could reward you a lot of merits. I don't like such attitude personally and I think it is kind of cheating of the merit system. I know this might not be appreciated by some people but that's what's going on for years.

You know that many people joined bitcointalk around 2017 and whenever an ATH occurs more members were added. The reduction in the number of posts has a lot of factors and we cannot analyse them separately.

This is all true. But it doesn't explain everything.

Over the last year you received 18 merits; 3 of which came from the Gambling Discussion board. During that same time you made 1289 posts to that board. This is near the bottom of accounts who post on that particular board.

I'm not known for posting in Gambling Discussion very often, but somehow I managed to get 60 merits there over the last year with 197 posts. We don't have to calculate ratios to see the difference.

I'm not saying you need to do what I'm doing or make new merit buddies. I'm just suggesting to consider the possibility that you aren't getting merits because nobody seems to engage with or care about your posts.

I am not trying to defend myself with my posts nor trying to appeal. I don't see my posts as spam. Low quality? I will not write 10 lines to make it look better. I already mentioned these techniques months or even years ago.
Comparing a known person by simple members isn't an accurate thing. For example, Theymos creating a post with only "Love you all" might get him +100 merit.
The problem with the gambling section is that there are so many posts that it is hard to follow them all and posts tend to be seen less than a post in meta for example.
Again I am not trying to do anything. Even collecting merits are no longer an objective for me since years. I threw most smerit that I had on art and I don't regret that. I will just keep pointing out some attitudes that shouldn't be encouraged with a lot of merit while it is low efforts.

I know you say you're not trying to defend yourself or whatever but even someone not trying very hard should be able to earn more than 18 merits in a year. The gambling discussion boards are never going to produce much in the form of merit, but branching out to other boards will give you a better chance. Keep that in mind in the future, assuming you decide to stick around.

I am not even sure if this is the proper place to talk about this but there is some type of trend that recently started to really annoy me.  It happens on the Service Discussion section.  I have a few Topics I am keeping up to date with almost every day and I am being already saturated with replies that either state the obvious or that seem to boot lick the platform only so they can have another new post for the day.  Such as pages 12 to 13 of the 0trace Topic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5577836.220),

I do like the fact that you don't want to make any promises yet, most especially when you haven't even start designing the fiat exchange.  You don't want to make any promises that you might not be able to fulfill in the future,  and it's a very good thing that 0trace is putting all their focus on protecting their user's privacy.

I think the best approach is if 0trace can keep things very simple, while staying true to the project main goal;  which is privacy.
Simplicity and easy to use will be the reason why a lot users will always trust and continue using the platform.
I can see that the 0ctrace team is in for business,  and this is indeed a welcome development.  I'm also looking forward to see more new developments coming.  And I think is high time the 0ctrace team look into making the swap exchange more visible on the forum,  the team start running promotions,  contests and other activities that can make the swap exchange gain more visibility.
Good job, you guys are actually very serious in making your exchange global and I love that, you guys should keep it up.
I love the fact that you guys are advancing and always listening to your customers and people that are giving you people advice on this thread, this is how you know a company that wants to succeed.
Congratulations on this one keep advancing.
The 0ctrace team is doing a very good job they should keep it up. From the day one till date, the Octrace team has remained committed to building good reputation for the Octrace exchange. If only the team will keep the fire burning, 0ctrace exchange is going to stand out as one of the most trusted crypto swap exchange on the forum and the world at large.
Wow. This is actually a good update. I really like and appreciate the fact that the exchange is making so much improvement consistently. The forum is a place with diverse people and it actually very good to know that you guys are putting effort to carry everyone aboard. And truly the platform has greatly improved since I last visited. I've really seen some change in the UI and experience. Though I'll still check more to give more helpful feedback. Kudos to the team
Of recent Habe being comparing 0trace with some instant swap exchange, and what I love is how active the team is. Some of this exchanges only launch or post when there is major update. But what I notice with 0trace is that they have being updating and improving their platform, making sure they respond to community feedbacks, raising escrow protection and also adding language support. I no that individually we will see all this as small changes, but this show that together this project are active to develop then for them abandoning. If this continues they are going to be having a better chance of earning long term trust compare to others that just come and go.
I trust and Believe that you people are actually going to make and preserve the same level of privacy you people are providing now, because if you people stop providing the privacy you people are providing now you people are going to lose customers, someone like me will not use your exchange anymore. You people should continue doing what you people are doing because I'm enjoying your service.
Keep it up and never disappoint the trust we put on you.
You are very much right, I have noticed a lot of improvement from 0trace and it teamsfor sometimes too and they are good they jobs right, and where they mostly focused more should be security and speed, support, and their user experience which I think should be a Good standout, and it's best for them to always have such in mind that if one part is weak that means the whole part would break down so my little advice for 0trace is that they should always take feedback serious…

And as for the signature campaign you made mention of I think the idea is such a good one, it will let more people know 0trace exists, And i feel it best to ask the user how they are enjoying the platform….
0trace you are doing a great job in your exchange, I have been looking at you guys since you joined this forum and till date no complain from any of your customers this shows you are doing very well.
I have also seen that you guys are continuously improving 0trace every day and I love that about you people.
I think it’s time for you people to run a signature campaign to show your exchange to the world, I believe a lot of people will want to use your exchange.
Wow this is a great achievement, you guys are actually doing the right things and that is why you guys are succeeding and being listed, I'm happy for you guys and you people should keep doing what you are doing, since I started using your exchange I have not had anything to complain about, you people are actually doing a very wonderful job with your exchange and I love that, with time I'm sure you people are going to expand more and become more popular.
Congratulation to you 0trace.
There's the friend of mine on the forum who was asking me whether Otrace is legit and if he could trust Otrace to swap his coin? He was very skeptical about the platform because he had a bad experience with one exchange platform like otrace in the past. I told him that otrace is legit you can trust them.  Inorder to convince him that I trust Otrace I had to show him some of transactions that I made through otrace before he is convinced.

Otrace should Keep up the good work, your good reputation speaks for you.
The user interface looks much better compared to when it was in its early stage. I agree that this is an improvement, as it shows that the 0trace team has been putting in effort to ensure that their exchange keeps to its terms of being a privacy exchange.True the forum has also helped by pointing out errors like bugs to ensure the exchange stays safe. So yeah, the same way they took the opinions of the Bitcoin community to reach the beta stage, keeping it up will certainly lead to the official release of 0trace, which I am looking forward to..

And this is only two pages of ONE of the Topics I am following.  The obvious out lier on that Topic is Supreme Donvic.  His responses always sound like the typical 'I am expecting that Bitcoin can go up in the near future or it can go down' reply,

Both of you are actually correct in what you are saying as for me the longer this exchange stay in service and in this forum, the more I will trust them as for now I'm just using them and I'm being very careful using them because anything can happen at anytime, we have seen experiences of exchange and casino that have scammed a lot of people so I am being very careful using them however the longer they will stay the more comfortable I will be while using them, as for now I have not seen any reason to doubt them but I'm still being careful.
You people are correct everyone will always look into a service reputation before using them, if any exchange is having issues of scam I don't think anyone will be interested to use them, an exchange being trustworthy and reliable is what is needed for them to gain a lot of customers, the popular exchanges that people are using today has gain reputation because they were trustworthy over the years, I believe that if an exchange is trustworthy they will have users using their exchange.

Since I speak and understand English very well I didn't notice they had only two languages, well if they see it as something important they will add more language but if it's not important to them they will keep it the way it is I believe they have target and if there target is people that understand this two languages then no need to add more language's.
Running a review campaign will actually help them, they may be getting review about their service in this thread however if they should run a review campaign they will get more review about their service and it will help them to find out some loop holes that they have not noticed for a very long time and then fix it, this is the reason why running a review campaign is very important because it helps you fish out the loop holes you did not see.
It is up to them if they are willing to do it better for them but if they don't want that is fine also, they should do what works for them and not what people feel will work for them, the service should continue being smooth.

I am sorry in advance if I offended anyone who I quoted, I did not even look at most of the Usernames and this is not a personal attack to any of you.  I am simply very annoyed and saturated of reading boot licks on at least half of the Topic page of so many Topics lately, it is starting to look like Gambling Discussion moved to the Service Discussion section.
