UEFA Conference League 2026/27 Season

The Conference League has been organized for 5 times so far. 3 of those ended up with the championship of 3 English teams. I guess that's also enough to show how strong they are in these tournaments. 

If Brighton win this year's Conference League it won't ever be surprising. There are only numbered teams that can make difficulties for them. I only stated them in my previous post here. But Brighton are strong enough to handle them too.

I guess that the valuation of club is starting to matter in determining the winner especially when it comes to the conference league. We have winners from EPL two times in a row, and it's likely the same pattern is gonna happen again.

Brighton is the most valuable club in this competition, and i only see Atalanta who can also match them. However, Atalanta is coaching by Sarri, which makes me doubt they can do that.

So it sounds the chance for non EPL team to win is literally small here. So you're right because i also in favor Brighton to take the trophy.

There seems not be a hard way for Brighton to do that. What they can do is just beat Atalanta because they rest of teams are nothing for them. I may think to do pre outright for conference league for Brighton to win current season.

Looking at the quality of the teams playing in this round, I find myself thinking I wish a Turkish club were here, because their chances of reaching the final are really very high. Başakşehir missed a huge opportunity.

Europa League is going to be very tough this season. There are so many strong clubs. But in the Conference League that number is very low. Once the teams participating in the league stage are finalized, I'm sure the number of teams in contention for the final won't exceed 5 or 6. There haven't been many surprises in this league since it was founded, it looks like this year will be no different.

Conference League at this stage is somehow difficult to predict but with closer observation, some of the matches can still be predicted with some level of accuracy. Furthermore, today is a second leg match which means we can predict the matches using data from the first leg. Two notable matches I feel will give a home win tonight are the two teams from Denmark, FC Midtjylland and FC Nordsjaelland who are both playing host to Bohemians of Ireland and Valu Reykjavik of Iceland respectively. The home teams will be able to consolidate on their first leg wins to advance to the next stage of the qualifiers. Consequently, I'm considering betting on them with confidence, keeping in mind the need to remain with my risk tolerance.

Even though the these games can be easily predicted based on the the the result of the result of the first leg matches. It's pretty difficult to predict these games because this is the second leg and teams that did not get the result in the first leg, will try to bounce back that is why it's somehow difficult to predict these qualifications rounds.

Football is one thing that is not a straight forward game that, you can predict and win easily because surprises occur. That is why it's difficult for gambler's to get it right when it comes to gambling involving football.

But looking at the results of the games that has been going on today, there has not been too many upsets which has taken place today. Again we have to look at the quality of teams that are playing in the conference league, they are not that strong.

Dinamo Minsk 0 - 0 Braga

Honestly, I'm glad I didn't bet on this game. When I saw the first leg at Braga's home ground, where they only scored one goal thanks to a penalty, I was immediately convinced that it would be much more difficult for them to score away from home, so I preferred not to place any bets on this game. Dinamo Minsk is a team with a very inconsistent attack; even scoring many goals is something they can't do in many consecutive games.

Hajduk 4 - 0 Zalgiris

Those guys from Hajduk showed no mercy in both the first and second legs, scoring a total of 9 goals in both legs. That's a very high number of goals. I feel sorry for the Zalgiris fans who had to watch those two games with such a high number of goals conceded. The funniest thing is that before playing against Hajduk, Zalgiris played against Dinamo Tbilisi and scored 7 goals in that game, reversing a tie that was almost guaranteed for Dinamo Tbilisi. But they ended up facing an opponent who scored many goals against them in both the first and second legs.



 

When I saw that own goal Lupano scored, I wondered, "What that guy thinking?" It looks like he wasn't very focused on the game; he could have at least tried to deflect the ball away. And then 82 minutes Hajduk's goal, again Lupano fault for not defending properly.

They’ve handled themselves quite well obvious. Most especially, for Besiktas, they’ve always managed to take their first leg very seriously, get the first leg advantage by winning, even without a lot of goals and then they can battle for a draw in the second leg. It’s paid off for them and I think they can still carry on with this form of performance to pave their way.

Haven’t really being watching a lot of Trabzonspor fixtures.

In the next round, Hajduk Split faces a team of comparable quality (Rakow), team that advances from this stage will officially qualify for the UECL competition. IMO, Hajduk Split will win, they have better quality by comparison.

Hajduk is a club with a long and glorious tradition, founded in 1911 and many times champion of the former Yugoslavia and then in Croatia, but they have been in a major crisis of play, results, management, etc.
They have been waiting for the Croatian championship title for more than 20 years and the last time they played in the group stage of a European club competition was 15 years ago.
This season they started the Croatian championship very poorly, with a defeat and a draw, which does not seem promising.
They achieved 2 easy and big victories against Zalgiris, but that does not mean much because the big difference in the quality of the team was obvious.
The real test for Hajduk will be their next opponent, Rakow, a team with a similar market value to Hajduk.
Knowing the history of Hajduk, and how many times its players have "cracked under great pressure from the fans" before the final steps in European competitions, I think it is too early to declare Hajduk the favorite in that match.
Hajduk started the competition this season in the European League and were eliminated by Cypriot Pafos. After a big win at home 2:0, they suffered a real disaster away, losing 4:0 and being eliminated from the competition.
When it comes to Hajduk, anything is always possible, a great game and a win, but also a bad game and a big defeat.

It's interesting to see Brighton in the qualification playoffs here. I thought they'd join the league phase directly as they are the only team coming from the PL.

It looks like this tournament is the only one the PL can't send a team to that stage without qualifying matches.    But anyway... Their opponent is Tromsø. It's like one of the easiest draws for Brighton.

It seems to me that the most important change in Hajduk's games this season is that they are no longer a ''one man show'' and that they do not depend on 1 player, Livaja.
Livaja is increasingly becoming an option B for the team, when they do not have an active result and that is the most important change of the new coach that I support.
However, it is obvious that even in this season of the Croatian football league, Hajduk will not have the quality to seriously threaten Dinamo in the first place of the standings and that Dinamo remains the main favorite for a new championship title.
Raków has lost its third game in the Polish league (while Hajduk finally won), and it seems that they are in bad shape.
I agree with you that this is probably the biggest chance for Hajduk in the last 15 years to finally qualify for the group stage of a European club competition again.
Before, in earlier seasons, they had a better team but very little luck with the draw so they had to play against much better teams, like Villareal, PAOK, Galatasaray, Inter, Everton, etc. so this is now a ''golden'' chance for Hajduk.

This will be the 6th edition of this new tournament. So far 3 different English teams won this trophy.

Looking at the past winners since the inception of the conference league the English premier League teams has being dominant in the league and I think they will still cling to the trophy this new season that's about to kickstart though I can't really vote for which team that is going to win it because the playoffs are yet to be completely done for us to know the full team that will be competing for the conference league.

Brighton will actually do better in the conference league because they play well and gives the top 6 teams in the premier League some tough times during premier league campaigns. Football is a game that is hardly predictable that why most times gamblers struggles to win bets because the outcome is different from what was predicted, looking at the teams in the conference league they are not that strong and one can't predict who's going to be the winner for next season yet.

We'll see the favorites in this round. We'll find out if they really care about the tournament and if they're ready to go all the way.

Monaco's opponent, Gornik Zabrze looks weak on paper, but I watched their matches against Fenerbahçe for both 90 minutes. They shouldn't be underestimated at all. This round will be a good test for Monaco early in the season.
I think Twente and Qarabag are evenly matched. Bookmakers have Twente as the favorite, but we know from previous years just how effective Qarabag can be in Europe.
Getafe will advance, no question marks here. Partizan got an unlucky draw.
PAOK will be one of the teams I'm rooting for. They're our brother club. I hope they can pass Brann. Scandinavian teams can be tough, especially early in the season.
I don't think Freiburg will struggle in Scotland. The odds for an away win against Motherwell are tempting to me.
I think the odds on another favorite Braga are set way too low. I don't have that much confidence in them. Even though they're the favorites in this round, the low odds don't convince me to bet on them.
Too many people will bet on Brighton & Hove Albion, so I won't touch them on my parlays.

Even the title favourites have to play qualification matches first now. Like Brighton, Monaco, Atalanta and so on...

However I don't see any of them playing against a challenging team technically. At least thanks to the seedings this is good for them.

Brighton's being in Pot 3 is crazy though!    Their coefficient is around 24k so it brings them here. I won't be surprised if they win the tournament anyway.

Yea, always difficult to predict but if you're lucky, you can still make some bucks for yourself. I'm not watching those two games that you mentioned above. I will watch Atalanta vs Hapoel Aviv because I'm considering betting on the game since, it's gon be an easy win for Atalanta. There are a lot of games today, just pick any of your choice and place your bet.

If they know they have a low market value and their opponent has a high market value, then why would they agree to play even under those conditions?

The answer to that question is simple:

In the 2023-2024 season, there were teams like:

Aston Villa with a market value of €551.30m

Fenerbahce with a market value of €306.85m

But who reached the final? It was Fiorentina, with a market value of €340.05m against Olympiacos, with a market value of €164.60m. And the team that won the Conference League in that final was Olympiacos, which has a market value lower than Fiorentica's 3x lower than Aston Villa's. This shows that market value is not the determining factor in being champion or winning games. Of course, money helps teams a lot, but if they don't have a good coach and aren't capable of making good signings, then having a lot of money will be useless.

I bet on Hajduk and other games. Here are my bets for today's games:

HNK Hajduk Split - Rakow Czestochowa

I don't have much to say because I don't know Rakow well, so I only had to analyze based on the results of their last 5 games. But on the other hand, I know HNK Hajduk Split because after my last post in this thread I watched more videos of their games and their players, so my conclusion is that putting them in my parlay will be good. But I preferred to choose the Double Chance market with " HNK Hajduk Split or Draw " which has odds of @1.29.

Atalanta - Hapoel Tel Aviv FC

In this game I bet on Atalanta to win, with odds of @1.16. I won't comment much on this game because I haven't seen Atalanta play seriously yet. So this is a risky bet.

Tromso - Brighton

In this game I preferred the Double Chance market where I bet on " Draw or Brighton " with odds of @1.17. Brighton hasn't played seriously yet, so I have no idea how they're performing. That's why I consider it a risky bet. In the end, the total odds were @1.75, which is what my parlay has. I placed a small amount on this parlay, and even if I lose it won't be a problem. Even if I win, it won't be a big deal. I won't be watching any of the 3 games I bet on.
