We expected Milan to win this match, and they did. They had played poorly in some of their matches in Italy, which led some people to lose faith in them but Milan won easily, 4-0. In my opinion, Milan is the biggest favorite to win this tournament. I believe they can reach at least the semi-finals.

AC Milan and Juventus Europa League matches and Atalanta winning their Conference league match as well is a worthy atonement for the disaster that happened to Italian teams in the UEFA Champions League yesternight.  It was completely frustrating to see AS Roma, Como, Inter Milan and Napoli all losing their respective matches even when some of them were leading their matches at some point. This season is truly going to be interesting.

After all, all the Italian teams are not useless in the European competitions. I like the energy of Juventus because even when they almost played draw, they still find themselves getting a win. AC Milan was in another realm, they gave their opponent a clear cleen sheet. Atalanta was another Italian team that played a beautiful game. Inter Milan, Roma, and Napoli should bury their heads in shame that they couldn't perform in the Champions League when the other Italian teams in the conference league and Europa League won their matches.

Good to see Bournemouth win, I think it was their first ever home game in European competition tonight. Must have been good for the fans who were able to be there.

Elsewhere not so great for British teams as Celtic and Crystal Palace both lost. It is really sad to see the once great Juventus these days. They are a pale shadow of the great teams they had when I was growing up.

Bournemouth won their game and they're another EPL side that have proven to be world that the English premier League is very competitive and these teams are simply not good enough for them. Our representative from Turkey, Beşiktaş, secured three points by winning 3-2 away against Hoffenheim in Germany. Having already won two of their eight matches, Beşiktaş’s chances of finishing in the top 24 have significantly improved. Wait until Bournemouth start meeting stronger opponents. You can't judge their performance by their win against Sturm Graz. I know that English teams are competitive when it comes to the Europa league as evidence from the last 2 Europa League title winners has vindicated that. We will know if Bournemouth can go far in the Europa League if they can win matches serially without dropping points. Bournemouth is a good team because despite though they suffered huge loss against Chelsea last weekend, they didn't allow that to traumatize them as they played confidently.

I don’t see why you’re comparing them. The Europa league is a lesser competition to the champions league so you don’t have to compare them to mock the other teams. Just commend the teams that did well and leave others, you don’t have to shame them.
Today AC Milan performed well with their teenage sensation scoring a hattrick, I think this will be his first senior hattrick and his first European hattrick.

AC Milan may not have been very consistent with winning games, but winning Salzburg should never be a big deal to them. if we want to compare the quality in both clubs, there is no way Salzburg will be on the same level with Milan. The only reason why I was a bit skeptical about milan winning this game was the result of their first game in the Europa League this season where they lost 0-2 to Benfica at home that really made me doubt them a little.

I’ve got to give it to Besiktas, they did good in this one. Lately, I’ve being seeing a lot of Turkish teams having to struggle a lot when it comes to international leagues like this, they’ve always come shot.

Juventus were able to decide their game in the last minute, after having to struggle through the first half without any luck. They kept the pressure and by the second half, they started getting results, coming from behind to get 2 goals against Celta de Vigo and all 3 points in the game.

Marseille is another team that just couldn’t cut it, still struggling both in the Ligue 1 and Europa.

Bournemouth can compete with the stronger teams.  We have Millan, Juventus, Marseille and Benfica. I very confident that Bournemouth can win against these teams. We see  how they usually trouble the big teams in the premier league, high intensity and that could even give them more advantages.

This Europa league might still be won by the premier league team because they spend more on players than most of the clubs in that tournament. If they are unable to win the trophy, then the winner could be among the teams I mentioned above.

Beşiktaş seemed to be playing at their own İnönü stadium in the derby in Germany. The fans were spread all over the stadium. It would be fair to say the match only really started in the second half. Beşiktaş scored the goal they were looking for after putting Hoffenheim under pressure from the left and right.

After that, the match continued with goals from both sides. Oh, Beşiktaş had already worn Hoffenheim’s defence down, and they finally scored the goal they deserved today.

Tonight's game what made me pissed was how Bournemouth started, very slow, not being aggressive, attacking force was weak in as much as the visiting team were not up to their standard, they allow them to enjoy the game as if it was nothing. If it was a much better team they would have punished Bournemouth, they need to convert more of their chances starting from their next league game.

That was the toughest draw statistically. Still Beşiktaş managed to get 2 wins. Normally Marseille and Hoffenheim are good Europa League caliber teams but Beşiktaş scored 7 goals total against them. This is fantastic. Some people had their doubts because Italiano rotates the line-up too much. However he gets nearly the same level of performance from all his players. That's incredible. What makes Italiano different is his ability to implement this style of play with every player at his disposal. I think Beşiktaş need to raise their sights now and aim to finish in the top 8 of the group stage to secure the Round of 16. Next week's match against Crystal Palace will be the most critical test. If Beşiktaş can get through that match successfully, their claim to a top 8 finish will be significantly strengthened.

By defeating Hoffenheim, Beşiktaş has continued its UEFA Europa League campaign with two wins in two matches.
I hadn’t realized that Hoffenheim—a team that really stood out last year—had fallen into such a poor state.
With this result, they have now lost four consecutive matches.

This is not all true but I think that it happens when the premier league team manager sees his opponent as a weaker side and considering the tough nature of premier league, such manager would love to play his bench players to rest his key players not that when a manager sees a tough team, he would rest his major players except if the manager feels that he doesn't stand a chance either and already admitted defeat in order to protect his players for the league games.

Sunderland did not see Torreense as a huge challenge, of course they ought not to be. When it comes to the Europa League and conference league, the English side has always performed very well and proceed for long before they sometimes get knocked out because most of other leagues to me, has their major tough teams in the champions League while their non challenging teams remain in the Europa and conference league to play with a challenging premier league side.

I would have said Juventus but their stance is still not clear and their confidence is not where it needs to be yet. After a comeback against Celta Vigo, it could be considered that they are still capable of remaining a strong contender for the title but would need a little more discipline and value to achieve that.

Yesterday I was most interested in the match between Dinamo and Anderlecht.
Dinamo has been in a crisis of play and results lately, they have been in a bad series of results and were not favorites against Anderlecht.
In the first half, the goalkeeper and luck saved Dinamo in several situations, but in the second half Dinamo was better and in the end deservedly won, with a penalty goal in the last minute of the game.
Of the other matches, I was surprised by Milan's big win in Salzburg, and Juve also played an excellent game against Celta away.
Marseille is clearly in a big crisis and will not be competitive this season.

There was nothing surprising about Milan winning their match, as they were already the favorites going into the game. But I would say that Salzburg played quite well, and I thought they would score too. As for Juventus, I didn't expect them to beat Sevilla away, I think a draw would have been the more likely outcome here, but Juventus managed to snatch a late win in the end. In some matches, Juventus don't look that bad, the problem is that their performances are very inconsistent from one game to another.

Do you think the Champions league and the Europa League is the same thing? Do you think that Juventus and AC Milan are happy playing in the Europa League? The Champions league is a harder competition than the Europa League. In the champions league you meet the best teams in Europe playing in it. The Europa League is like a second tier league, you know the second division is never as competitive as the first division. The quality in Juventus and AC Milan squad is better than the Europa league that’s they are doing well there.

Hah, who would have thought (Dinamo fans certainly didn't, except maybe for those few who are always optimistic) that we would beat Anderlecht last night, considering how we looked in recent games?

We still got a bit lucky as it could have easily gone the other way, but it's an important win nevertheless. I also hope no one followed my betting advice, as neither of the outcomes I thought were likely ended up happening (except the part about Beljo scoring). But I'm certainly happy that I was proven wrong in the end.
