The UEFA Europa league has been very  competitive this season because they're alot of top European clubs that has been  in this campaign so far having a top European team in such tournament will add more value to the tournament and the fans base will be very busy in terms of viewing the matches, having AC Milan at that club level will be very competitive AC Milan they're one of the successful club in European football.

There are always few big club like this in Europa league. So far, EL has not felt competitive to me. There was high voltage match between Milan and Bournemouth, but that serie A club suffered a shameful defeat. There are still plenty of weak teams in europa league. I am sure this league will become competitive from round 16.

Till now we are not seeing any good performance from Serie A giant clubs. Milan is in 24th place in table and Juventus is in 7th. Yet both of these club were considered hot favorite for this season's europa league. But now it seems that Bournemouth, Leverkusen , Benfica, and ferencvaros will fight fiercely for title. Their performance have been consistent so far in almost every match and giving their full effort.

It is not right to judge how competitive the Europa League is by the current points of the big clubs. A team's poor performance in one or two matches does not mean that their full potential is gone. AC Milan lost to Bournemouth, this is a reality and there is nothing to consider the team as great or small for this. A loss does not mean that Milan will not be able to do well later. Even big teams can have bad times in football, and small teams can also play great games. This is the true beauty of football.

For a team, the current form, consistency and fighting mentality on the field are the real factors. In this regard, Leverkusen, Benfica or Ferencvaros are playing well, they have to be praised. However, it is too early to call them title contenders right now. It would be foolish to dismiss their chances right now given the poor condition of Milan or Juventus. The quality or strength of the entire Italian league cannot be measured by the performance of these two teams alone. To understand whether a tournament is exciting or not, it would be wise to wait until the last sixteen. The pressure and pace of play on all teams increases as the knockout stage approaches. So overall, it would be best to enjoy the game to the end without making any final decisions right now.

That’s definitely the case. These aren’t elimination matches, teams can have poor results during the group stage. What matters is staying in the top 24 and advancing to the next round. While finishing in the top 8 is an advantage, teams can also advance by qualifying from 24th place and defeating their opponents in the play-off. At this stage, no one can say which team will win the cup, none of us can know the future. There are just some strong contenders, and while some got off to a rough start, that doesn’t diminish their quality in any way.

While qualifying for the top 24 is significant, finishing among the top 8 ahead of other major teams is far more valuable. Consequently, the standings in the UEL can shift at any moment. AC Milan’s primary objective will be to secure a spot in the top 8, ensuring a more comfortable path into the next stage of the competition.

You have a point, finish within top 8 is valuable at times but I wouldn't say they matter much as long as you can keep winning your next games. I believe when the competition gets to the knock out stages every teams will become more serious and will all improve their performances no matter how bad they were in the early stage. I believe top teams in the competition will surely improve their games and so even if they end the group stage at top 8 it won't matter because they will do everything possible to go as far as the final or semi.

Losing a few early games doesn't matter if they can do well during the knock out stages. PSG for example last season didn't make top 8 because they didn't perform well earlier but went on to win the champions league.

Which demonstrates that there was high chances that Bournemouth had the upper hand of winning the game even without the card.
I can't imagine a new club like Bournemouth destroying AC Milan with a score of 3-0, this is far from what bettors and AC Milan fans expected.
Maybe I don't need to talk about their card given to M. Maignan in the 27th minute' as you said long ago J. Kluivert scored in the 8th minute of Bournemouth's win. I rate this as the best point for Bournemouth in the history of the UEFA Europa League competition this season.

Bournemouth's victory received special attention from various parties on the field. Bournemouth had shown playing dominantly before the card incident occurred, this will clearly add to the positive note in European competitions, I see that Bournemouth is really a club that will have a brilliant career in football matches, yesterday Man Utd vs. Bournemouth won the score by Bournemouth with 0-3, as well as against Sunderland with a score of 2-0, then Bournemouth vs. Aston Villa, fingers crossed.

I'm not really that surprised by Milan's poor result and heavy defeat by Bournemouth. In fact, Italian club and national football has been in a major crisis for a long time, the national team has not appeared in the last 3 world championships and I don't think anyone remembers the last time an Italian team won the Champions League.
If you've forgotten, it was Inter back in 2010, 16 years ago.
Italian clubs are not successful in other European club competitions either and their trophies have been rare in recent years.
On the other hand, even weaker and less well-known English clubs, such as Aston Villa, Tottenham, Crystal Palace or West Ham, have won European club competitions in recent seasons.
This obviously speaks to the great strength and competitiveness of the English league, and the dominance of the English league in relation to the rest of Europe, so results like this, such as Milan's big defeat, should not really be a big surprise to anyone.

Yes, you are right, I completely agree with you. However, it is not a good idea to minimize the current weaknesses of a team by thinking that a team will perform better in the future or that a team will perform better in the knockout stage. A team that has been in a consistent position since the beginning and has performed very well in every match is definitely one of the biggest teams in that league.

In the case of all teams, we do not see a change from bad to good. There are some teams that do not have good players or even if they have good players, they have injury problems, the chances of these teams doing well are much less.

I appreciate everything you said, but personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that Milan have been performing poorly. Their attack is still pretty good, but their defenders sometimes fail to perform at their best and often leave opportunities for the opposition. Besides that, several players are injured, which leaves Milan with limited options. So, even though anything can happen in a competition like this, if Amorim can't solve Milan's problems, it will be difficult for the club to become a title contender.

He needs to consolidate and toughen the defense as soon as possible, as they have Inter on the weekend and Ferencváros is coming to their home ground. Ferencváros is the team with the most European victories this season, and Inter needs no mention. I predict two tough defeats that might even end Amorim's spell at Milan.

There are just some strong contenders, and while some got off to a rough start, that doesn’t diminish their quality in any way.
PSG is an example for this case. Since the format has been introduced which was 2024 they haven't been able to finish at the top 8 position and they won back to back UCL.  They don't have problem finishing below the 8th as long they still qualify to the knock out round and beat the hell out teams they meet. Ac Milan are a strong contender for this Europa league and the crazy thing is that they might still face  this Bournemouth later on at the knock out round and eventually beat them. More of reason why I don't usually put much attention to the group stage matches but I do like if my team finish in the top two because they will have to play all their knockout second legs at home ,till they get to the final , which is just the only benefit I see there.

It should be understood that players play a lot of matches in the season, in national championships, cups and European club competitions, and that the season is very long and tiring.
With that in mind, the best strategy for any coach is to prepare his team to be the fittest and best at the end of the season, when the decisive matches for trophies are played.
This is not only the case of PSG, and other teams that were worse in the group stages of European club competitions in recent seasons ended up winning the competitions because they showed their best performances in the knockout stage.
Before, it was different when we had groups with 4 teams and only 2 teams advanced to the knockout stage, and then performances in the group stage were much more important.
Now practically all the teams in the group stage go to the knockout stage of the competition, so those matches are no longer so important and can even serve to prepare the team.
As for the possible favorites to win this competition, it's hard for me to say what we can expect from Milan and whether they can go all the way to the end of this season and win the trophy. I think there are a few clubs ahead of them at the moment, including Bournemouth, Benfica, Juve, etc.
