I just don't know what is going wrong at AC Milan that they are playing so poorly in this Europa competition. They are not in their best form, but they are still not playing that badly in their domestic league. I don't even know; maybe they are not interested in this Europa competition or what, because with the way they are performing in their domestic league, if that were how they were performing in this Europa competition, I don't think they would be getting all these kinds of poor results.AC Milan losing today's match is really disappointing, especially after defeating Inter Milan in the domestic league. Yes, you are not the only one who sees AC Milan as the favourite team to win this Europa competition. Many people view them that way too.

In the Europa League, Olympique Marseille lost 3 out of 3 matches, while Bayer Leverkusen, who were in great form in every match, and today's match was at their home ground, but despite their great form and playing at their home ground, they could not score a single goal against a team in poor form, Olympique Marseille. I cannot accept this, they lost 1-0 at home, they could not score a single goal. In the other match, Beşiktaş's victory against Celtic was expected, but they could not win either, Celtic also lost the previous 3 matches, but they won this match. These two matches really surprised me.

I admit my predictions weren’t very good today.

I said Sunderland would win but they lost. They had more shots on goal during the match but couldn’t score.
I said there would be at least 3 goals in Bayer Leverkusen - Marseille match, but it became the match with the fewest goals tonight. Marseille scored 1 goal and won.
I said Celtic didn’t stand a chance but they managed to win the match. They didn’t play at all for the first 60 minutes, they made everyone to sleep, but then they managed to score 3 goals. At least I was right that this match would be high scoring.
I said I didn’t trust Juventus, the match was almost ending 2-2, but AZ Alkmaar’s second goal was disallowed.

Congratulations to today’s winners, my bet slip lost. Next matchweek I’ll try to do better.

There were some results today that left me shocked.

Celtic 3 - 2 Beşiktaş

Celtic came into this match on a streak of 3 consecutive defeats and hadn't been performing well in this competition, whereas Beşiktaş arrived unbeaten in their last 3 games. I saw Beşiktaş as the clear favorites to win—they even scored the opening goal, which made me even more confident they’d take the victory. Instead, they conceded 3 goals and ended up losing. I have no idea what the hell happened to Beşiktaş to allow 3 goals and lose that match. I’m just glad I didn’t bet on them.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen 0 - 1 Olympique

This was a similar scenario to the Celtic vs. Beşiktaş match. Before kickoff, Leverkusen was on a 3-game unbeaten run and playing at home—which should have been an added advantage—while their opponents were coming off 3 straight losses. I honestly don’t know what the hell happened to Leverkusen; they failed to score, conceded a goal, and lost at home. It’s a disaster for them—this was not a match where they should have dropped points.

Milan 0 - 2 Ferencvárosi

I wasn’t expecting much from Milan in this one, so the defeat itself doesn’t shock me. What *does* shock me is that they conceded 2 goals, and even after their opponent was reduced to 10 men in the 77th minute, Milan still couldn’t find an equalizer. I don’t know what’s going on in the minds of these Milan players—they beat Inter, only to turn around and lose to a side from the Hungarian league (and I say that with no disrespect intended toward the Hungarian league). But there’s no comparison between the Hungarian league and Serie A.

Both of our representatives lost in Europe today. The scorelines were close, though. Beşiktaş was a team that really should have won this match. They gave the ball away far too often, and their defensive performance is raising alarm bells. There is still a lot of work to be done, and these issues need to be addressed. Vincenzo Italiano needs to identify these weaknesses and work on fixing them. In the second half, you score from a penalty and go into the lead, only to make a mistake immediately when building an attack. You simply cannot afford to make such basic mistakes.

It seems it's due to the Amorim doesn't put europa league as his priority to win. He played kids in this game, which is the main reason why they suffer another lose. However, his decision to play kids make no sense because when his club is winning europa league, his club gets golden ticket to go to the UCL as well.
Honestly, Amorim's work in AC Milan is so average. His club is quite often gets annihillated by other clubs. The next one is gonna be when they fight Olympiakos, which is sitting at the top table of europa league.

They might able to beat Inter, but i'd be betting on the other club when it comes to the europa league. This results give me a vibes about how they're trying to leave from the europa league before play off.
All of their players look lifeless and lack of passion to score with zero intensity in the game. Next time, i'm gonna bet on Olympiakos to win.

An embarrassment to get cooked by a hungarian team that i didn't even know about lol. They try to show to the world how garbage their team are. Milan is a BS club now.

I guess Bournemouth have truly evolved into a strong team which even big teams should be wary of when they play against Bournemouth on the field, the offensive play displayed by Bournemouth have shown that they are not afraid of pushing forward and they does have a lot of great players who could score goals. With 4 wins out of 4 games played in the Uefa Europa League, I think Bournemouth would stand a great chance to compete for the trophy this season and hopefully they could continue the streaks of English Premier League clubs winning the Uefa Europa League trophy in a row.

I guess Bournemouth have truly evolved into a strong team which even big teams should be wary of when they play against Bournemouth on the field, the offensive play displayed by Bournemouth have shown that they are not afraid of pushing forward and they does have a lot of great players who could score goals. With 4 wins out of 4 games played in the Uefa Europa League, I think Bournemouth would stand a great chance to compete for the trophy this season and hopefully they could continue the streaks of English Premier League clubs winning the Uefa Europa League trophy in a row.

Bournemouth cannot be underestimated in the UEFA Europa League, while consistency is difficult for them in the Premier League, it is relatively easy for them in the Europa League. They are a mediocre team in the Premier League, but they have the ability to compete against other top teams. Since the Premier League is of a higher standard than other leagues, there are very few teams in the UEFA Europa League who have the ability to compete against Bournemouth.

It is not possible to say right now whether they will be able to compete for the title or not. If they have to face Benfica, Juventus, AC Milan, Sunderland, Lyon or Leverkusen in the knockout stages, then their journey is uncertain, because these teams are capable of beating Bournemouth. Although AC Milan and Lyon's recent form is not great, they have the ability to surprise Bournemouth.

Tbh, none of us Dinamo fans expected to get anything out of that match (I mean we hoped for something ofc, but not expecting anything) considering how awful we've been lately. Things got so bad that we even sacked our coach just a few days before the game. But I guess the change worked, as we looked really good in the first half. We had a bit of luck in the second half, but you can't win away against an objectively much stronger opponent without a little bit of luck.

It is not right to judge how competitive the Europa League is by the current points of the big clubs. A team's poor performance in one or two matches does not mean that their full potential is gone. AC Milan lost to Bournemouth, this is a reality and there is nothing to consider the team as great or small for this. A loss does not mean that Milan will not be able to do well later. Even big teams can have bad times in football, and small teams can also play great games. This is the true beauty of football.

That’s definitely the case. These aren’t elimination matches, teams can have poor results during the group stage. What matters is staying in the top 24 and advancing to the next round. While finishing in the top 8 is an advantage, teams can also advance by qualifying from 24th place and defeating their opponents in the play-off. Bournemouth performance this time around is something else. Among the three Premier League teams that played yesterday, they are the only ones that got a victory in the game. Crystal Palace and Sunderland couldn't make it on their home ground. Though Crystal Palace didn't lose all the three points, even so, they still didn't play as I expected. But coupled with the red card, I think it is quite understandable. Of course, there is no doubt about Bournemouth, because they are still doing the needful, and anything is possible in the game.

Actually, I expected Milan to win this match, especially since they were playing on their home turf quite surprisingly, they lost even at home. They’ve been playing well in the Italian league and recently defeated Inter however, Milan has consistently failed to perform in the Europa League. The fact that they’ve lost three out of their four matches is inexplicable. Amorim had the team playing terribly in these games.

Dinamo has been in a major crisis of play and results for almost a month or more.
They did not play well, the defense was very bad, there was no compactness or real organization or system of play and Dinamo has recently won only if the goalkeeper saved the team and Beljo scored, and with a lot of luck, especially in this competition.
Just a few days ago, the Dinamo coach was fired and it seemed that this match would be just another defeat and disappointment for the Dinamo fans.
However, Leko, the interim coach, prepared the team brilliantly, Dinamo once again looked like an organized team that knows what it wants, has a clear plan and knows how to achieve it.
In defense, they made no mistakes, and in attack, Beljo and Stojkovic proved their playing class and probably will not play for Dinamo for much longer.
A great victory for Dinamo and Croatian club football. This is only the third victory of a Croatian club on an away trip to England in history.

If things were equal AC Milan should be playing in the champions league. They found themselves in the Europa League where ordinary they should be dominating yet they find themselves crawling. The two teams they have lost to in the Europa League in their two last matches, are teams they should have won. They are losing to teams that don’t have European history. AC Milan is a team that is well known for their European triumph, how they have turned out to be mediocre in European competitions is really surprising. Italian teams are struggling with Europe competitions, this is a sign that there is a decline in the quality of the league.

I am extremely disappointed that we lost 3-2, despite a very strong start to the away match.
Italiano needs to find a solution for our defensive issues. Against Kasımpaşa, we were leading 2-0, only for the match to end 2-2. In this game, we took a 1-0 lead; Celtic was playing so poorly that I thought we would secure a comfortable, high-margin victory—but our turnovers while transitioning into the attack created dangerous opportunities for them.
Celtic went on to take a 2-1 lead. Orkun equalized at 2-2 with a long-range strike, but we conceded another goal just a minute later.
There is no logical explanation for this negative turn of events.
We have a match against Gençlerbirliği this weekend. Although it may look like an easy game on paper, I am curious to see how the players will recover from this slump. We absolutely must win that match. If we drop any points, the gap between us and the top of the table will widen, and closing that distance will be far from easy.

Do you know Ferencvaros? I guess you don't know them. They are not just a random club, they are tittle contender in their league and doing perfect too in the Europa League. With current Milan form in this tournament, if you think they were going to beat a team like Ferencvaros who hasn't lost a match for a while now, then you must have overrated Milan. Tbh, I also saw Milan as the favourite to win yesterday game specifically but after I checked Ferencvaros previous match records, I know Milan will not be able to stop them. Milan is doing poorly at the moment and the standing just proves it.
