I want to message someone anonymously on Telegram without anyone being able to track me. To do this, I opened an account on an exchange like CoinEx. I bought some Bitcoin with a credit card, then I bought a virtual number using Bitcoin and created a Telegram account with it. Now the person receiving the message goes to the legal authorities. The legal authorities ask Telegram to give them the phone number connected to the account. Then they reach the company selling the virtual number through the phone number. The company selling the virtual phone number gives the address from which it received the bitcoin to the legal authorities, and they reach the CoinEx exchange through the bitcoin address. The exchange then gives the identity of the credit card used to purchase the bitcoin to the legal authorities, and ultimately my identity is revealed. Right?

It almost seems like you are trying to get us to help you scam someone...

Bitcoin is traceable. Exchanges save your info and if police have that information they can easily track down the real you. I would not recommend it. Ultimately getting away with crime is not something you should expect. Do you really want to ruin your life over some fast money?

Why not use that time and thinking power to do something useful? Maybe create a business of your own? Actually help people and make money for doing so?

Companies won't share their customer information just because someone asked.

They might.  Okay, not exactly if anyone asks, but if the request comes from a legitimate authority many companies will cooperate without much fuss.  Its none of their business whether you did something illegal or not - thats up to the courts to decide.

This is wrong, there must be a valid legal reason presented by the authorities for your identity to be revealed and it includes valid court orders, AML concerns, tax evasion concerns. In fact your data can only be shared through strict legal conditions, not just that any legitimate authority casually asked, they must go through due legal process of requesting such documents.

@hack3rcon, its probably not the brightest idea to ask for instructions online if you are already planning on doing something illegal.  Just saying.  

It is better that he asked and was given feedback that would deter him from going ahead, sometimes people ask these questions not because they want to engage in scams by themselves, but because others, probably their friends want to exploit them by asking for their help and promising to pay handsomely for it. That may just just be his research to ensure he is safe, possibly because he doesn't trust the person he is about making that purchase on his/her behalf.

According to your questions I think a simple yes has the best answer.

Furtherly, from the point you have used your credit card to execute the transaction, your your anonymity is breached.
You might only be enjoying your privacy at wheresoever and so you can be tracked after your identity is revealed through the banks with your KYCs very visible.

If your intention is to bypass legal restrictions or engage in activity that may prompt a police investigation, understand that there is no perfect anonymity against state-level actors. When significant resources are dedicated to an investigation, they correlate digital evidence with physical metadata (GPS data, login times, device identifiers).

If you know all this, why did you decide to use your credit card in a centralized exchange? Definitely, if the authorities are tracking a transaction, it will lead to the person whose card details are registered on the card.

However, some sites to purchase telegram numbers don't require a debit or credit card. Crypto payment can be used to purchase a number from a site. As someone concerned about privacy, use an instant exchange to make the payment on the site or a conjoin to make the transaction. That way it can't be traced.

With the option of Payment gateway or Using Binance Pay it can also be done without the need for a credit card,
but this also depends on the service provider whether to accept crypto or not.

I can now use crypto for payment for goods and services, but use the payment gateway system of Bitget wallet.

And some people who are really strict with their privacy use Coinjoin or the mixer platform to make some payments using crypto so that it cannot be tracked.
But if in the end the money will be transferred and taken to the bank, it will also be detected, Privacy is only a pseudo-shadow in the end.

Yes, that is it. That is why the government is not happy with the idea of decentralization because if everyone choose the decentralized platforms where there are no kyc requirements where investors and trader's identity are exposed to such identity tracking, the government may not be able to track, monitor and control everyone freely. So avoid centralized exchanges and avoid or limit KYC as much as you can.

I'm sorry to say but I don't really understand what's going on behind the scene, I hope this is not a true life story? If it's a true story then it's the type I call there is more than meet the eye, the real reason why you went through this process is hidden, what was your main goal of contacting that person?

Because there is no reason to track you for using debut card to buy Bitcoin, of which this is a wrong move, you could have use P2P exchange to buy the Bitcoin, what I don't get is your relationship with the person you are trying to contact that made them report you to the authority. Somehow I believe that this could be the case of a criminal trying to escape from his past deeds kinda. Hoppe it's not a true story.
