No matter any kind of language being used by the casino to make you comfortable, they must always be on the winning side, they cannot lose because that is where they make their money from, probably fair has said it all and so you need to understand it and see that casinos do predetermine their game and that is why you don't need to be chasing your losses or wins because you will keep losing more, therefore if you are lucky in your first and second game it is better you call it a day if not the next game will have to collect all you have won.
First of all, it’s not probably fair, but provably fair. But you’re right about one thing, the part you said gamblers shouldn’t chase because the odds are always stacked against them and favors the house. Unfortunately for bettors, this is just how the game of gambling is and no matter how we try to tilt the scales to favor us, it just doesn’t work because the whole thing is actually predetermined by the rules and odds. This is often why it take nothing but luck for gamblers to beat the house.

-Snip- What about you? What do you think about provably fair language from casinos?
Starting from your cousin and your input, you guys are right halfway and wong halfway. You are right in the sense that bad casinos are also using the provably fair mantra to swindle people while they are lying. However, you are wrong because the context of "provably fair" itself is true and many casinos are true to it; the proof and the calculations are there, so I believe it. Where you guys are making mistakes is that being provably fair doesn't mean automatic winning. Do you know why? It's because provably fair is just a way of showing sincerity of the casino that they do not rigged the game mid-way of any sort in their favour. Still, the house edge advantage is there, as the algorithm in the casino game itself has been inbuilt to favour the house. That, you or probably fair can't change.

A smart gambler must understand that for a casino business to survive they games must not be fair, it is why the house will always win in the end, and this whole game is based on emotions which is why gamblers always come back after they have won.
But I will say here it would not be right to say that the games are unfair because the casino wins, most licensed casinos operate on the basis of specific rules and algorithms. Each round may be fair there, but in the long run the casino has a higher chance of profiting due to the house edge. However it is definitely a good habit to take a break for a few days after winning, Because many people think that luck is on their side when they win several times in a row which creates overconfidence. And most of the time this mentality forces them to take unnecessary risks later, which ultimately causes more losses than profits.

We can't say for sure whether casino sites are provably fair because we know their internals. But like your friend, I think the internals of casino sites are not provably fair. If they were, the amount of people who gambled would often show that many casino sites would suffer a lot of losses. However, we know that people don't just bet on one side, they bet on different sides, so the casino sites can take money from the people who lose and pay the people who win. But I'm never 100% sure that casino sites are provably fair.
Yes, traditional bookmaker and casino business model is largely based on this idea. Not all player bet in same side. So the winners payout is covered by losers money, and house keeps their margin. However, a distinction need to be made about provably fair thing. This is not a claim that casino will no longer make profit or that player will win in long term. Its main purpose is to provide an opportunity to verify whether game outcome has been changed or not. Usually using server seed, client seed and nonce you can later check whether the result is according to previous commitment. Players should not believe just by looking at slogan. They need to see whether they allow independent verification, whether they publish algorithm, and whether past result can be audited. You can read this topic: We placed 240,000 bets on BetFury - Limbo failed: 97.33% vs 99.02% RTPYou understand how casinos can manipulate despite being provably fair.

What do you mean by Casinos are probably fair, of course all Casinos are fair to everyone this is the reality that should know and establish first. But the truth is that Casinos are structured in a way that they are going to gain more when compared to the rate of winning from their customers. No casino will just allow people to come win easily that is why Casinos use programming languages and algorithms that will make it difficult for customers to come win easily . This is a business for the Casino if the casino is fair then most of these casinos will have not been there again because they would have gone bankrupt over time.

Indeed, gambling casino is a business institution so it is normal for these casinos to create system that give them benefits. But i do not think that provably fair shows all things about casinos. Remember provably fair is a process where it checks that the result executed in the server is the same. It does not tell about the algorithm of the game, the house edge or other script embedded on the games that may give the casino an advantage. you don't need to be chasing your losses or wins because you will keep losing more, therefore if you are lucky in your first and second game it is better you call it a day if not the next game will have to collect all you have won. Yeah, I highly agree, there are lots of cases (even I experienced it) where a gambler is ahead but failed to stop on time making their winning even their bankroll depleted.

Probably fair games can be found on different casinos which made them fair enough to allow players to continue to make money from their bets. Casinos are spending a lot of money to put their platform on top of every other platforms that are providing gaming services to players that are looking for ways to double their bankroll through playing games and predicting the outcome of matches. Checking a game RTP is one of the ways to know if a casino game is fair enough to bet on them or to avoid them.

That's why it's called gambling . Using a small amount of money to win something extra, you can expect to just win it easily , you have to sweat for it and hope luck is on your side. It's you against thousands of people competing for luck every time, and he (your friend ) expect to just have it easy? Impossible. Then you shouldn't forget that everytime you lose, someone win some profit and Casino take some share aswell. It's fair , gamblers just want to be rich through gambling .

Is there other way to confirm if a casino is provably fair without revealing much to you? Even if they show it to you, the casino will still do what they want to do regardless and will give you win based on what they can offer you. The only alternative way to confirm if truly they are provanly fair is if they let you win more time than let you lose most of the time but instead of waiting for this, why not focus on sport betting instead of trying to know behind the scenes. If a casino is popular and have more users, I don't think you need to be told that they are fair enough because it confirmed people are winning. If people are actually losing in that casino, people will not come back. Why do you think that some casino despite the bonus and all of the promotional contents the casino do post, people don't like to use their casino because even the bonus they give you will be taken from you.

At first glance when we hear provably fair expression it's normal to think it means to be playing from equal to equal against the casino, with 50% chances against 50% chances. However, it doesn't work like that for real. Provably fair just mean the outcomes are legit, what doesn't make any difference in players' favour on long term, since there is a minimum house edge of at least 1% or 2% of every gambling games.
In conclusion, the casino doesn't need to cheat in order to ensure their profitability on long term. They do this legitimately through provably fair and house edge mechanisms.

We need to trust the casino to deliver up to expectation from the process down to the finishing end being not tampered, this is why we play our games and entrust the entire process with them, which is why many will also give it a provably fair game, but once this cannot be established, then it is something else and we cannot be sure of having it 100% provably Fair game, just that many gamblers don't concentrate much on this, because they don't know how to verify the process, they will rather concentrate much in playing their games.
If we're in a completely trustworthy casino, there's no problem at all because the casino will always give us that level of confidence. Have you tried Stake.com? What's it like? For me, their fair game betting is very good. Well, in my experience, I've trusted this casino for years. Even if it's not Stake.com, if you're in a casino, look for one with a high reputation, and that can make all the difference. It all depends on the casino you go to.

I agree with him, gambling is not probably fair because if it did and it is constantly tested by the players and they win, the casino will shutdown because there are many people who has been testing if they can win the casino by all means to confirm if they are probably fair. I believe these lack of probably fair game is why we have house edge. This house edge is a system that forbid you to win the house no matter what strategy you use to win them. So gambling is not probably fair, and house edge proves it right.

the problem I have with provably fair is we can't ever know how true it is, even a casino that can't be trusted will use the same language that they are transparent to enhance players confidence in them, there is no probably fair verification, the cryptographic algorithm and others aren't enough.
What about you? What do you think about provably fair language from casinos?
When a casino claims to be provably fair, it simply means that the outcome of its games are basically a product of random algorithm, which also means that it has no control over the outcome of its games. Because initially there are some casinos who have control over the outcome of its games, and when gambling on such casinos, it's rarely always impossible to win. However, when we talk about a casino having a provably fair system, one thing gamblers need to know is that when a casino is said to be provably fair that it will automatically means you are likely to always win your bet, but rather that it's outcome was generated fairly, because when it comes to games like dice and slot, they usually have their respective house edge, which means that the casino will still always make profit in long term.

There are also some issues with Mainly Trust, such as the fact that in all cases we do not get the source code of any game at all, or even if the source code of a game is made public, not everyone will be able to verify whether there is actually a fair algorithm there. So many times we have to rely solely on the reputation of that casino to believe that the word "provably fair" they are using actually has an impact on their games. And besides, we can definitely see that when we make a wager, a hash appears from the history of the games and that can also be verified in many cases.

Indeed! A casino may not be probably fair because they have the house edge, they can tweak and modify game algorithm to their advantage, and at the same time, they can be provably fair. This casino, that put low RTP than the usual and high house edge, can provide provably fair tools and have a matching verification result. After all, provably fair is all about the bet and the result being the same on both server and client side after the bet is made, verifying the random outcome.

If the casino they know claiming to be like that that means each games they released follow their rules and what they could get are random result, also they can assure that there's no manipulation happening. That system didn't really increase someone's luck, since the house edge they set will remain the same that's why at this point they need to change those thoughts, so they won't confuse themselves.

gamblers just want to be rich through gambling .
That's basically the dream behind ever gambling motivation behind every gambler. Getting so lucky that you become rich. One of those once-in-a-lifetime strokes of luck. The euphoria must be quite something... But it is still not wise to lose your mind and all your money just because you wanted to hope in a miracle... Gambling is entertainment and should never be seen as a source of happiness or income.

I also have got the impression those doubts of his cousin came to his mind because how poorly he made during a gambling session and felt disappointment from what happens to his bankroll. That is why every gambler is no supposed to become rich out of their good luck, because it is almost statistically impossible to do so. Many people believe they could be the next millionaire because we constantly see on social media many stories of people who won their local lottery or managed to hit a jackpot on their favorite casino. But we never see the stories of the thousands or millions of gamblers who had to lose their bankroll so a few can become rich.

My cousin who have been a gambler in the past and quit said that if gambling is truly provably fair many casinos won't make it because there is always a load of people testing that one game and they will win even more which will result in loss for the casino, do you believe what he said about this?
This frustrated gambler likely doesn't understand how gambling works. It's not about provable fairness (which, in principle, is also impossible to verify from a gambler's perspective), but rather about a certain RTP percentage (below 100%), according to which the probability of winning decreases with each subsequent bet. This is how the casino makes its money. However, it's also impossible to verify whether the RTP is within the acceptable (as advertised by the casino) levels. the problem I have with provably fair is we can't ever know how true it is, even a casino that can't be trusted will use the same language that they are transparent to enhance players confidence in them, there is no probably fair verification, the cryptographic algorithm and others aren't enough.
So, either you "take the casino's word" and accept their rules of the game, or you leave the casino like your cousin. What about you? What do you think about provably fair language from casinos?
If one side consistently makes money off the other in a game, can the game be "provably" fair?
