I cannot assess either whether the provably fairness they claim is real or not, but I rely on people with better knowledge than me to carry out the due research, at least when it comes to the biggest casinos, and if they find something shady they will publish it. A few days ago I read the thread written by a user in this forum warning about his doubts about the provability fairness of certain platform, and it's being reviewed.

For the rest, in general, I'm optimistic and I think that most casinos with a good reputation which claim they are provably fair are in fact fair.

All these honestly proven casinos are just fiction in my opinion, because yes, if I get a seed, and then check the hash, then I will not find out how honest the online casino's random number generator is on the server. It is possible that they are not being audited there, but are making a complete turnaround of the chances in their favor. But that's not all. There’s no way you can beat the casino even with legit provably fair due to the house edge. PF is just a system created to make each bet transparent in a way that user can verify it using the blockchain.

Your cousin mistaken “fair” means that it’s always a 50-50 game which is wrong. Some user already explained above how this system work and the only crucial part that was not considered is the house edge that makes all casino games have negative expected value.

I don’t think it’s the same case. If it’s even slightly more favorable to the casino than to the gamblers, then it’s not provably fair. This is just blatant cheating. I think a provably fair system is one where the gambler can verify for themselves that the game is actually fair.

Yes, that's right, I don't trust a casino just because it says Provably Fair. I never have time to verify the server seed, client seed, nonce or hash each time. And some sites use this term only as a marketing ploy. So I always check if they really provide a verification tool, if they allow you to change the seed, and if other players have been able to independently verify the result.

Although this does not prove that the casino is honest, will always give withdrawal or that there are no problem with their game logic and RTP. But don't think it is unnecessary. It is certainly a good cryptographic mechanism but it is not a magic shield.

Actually for being in that "Provably fair" status the casino don't actually lose their money. Because that shows how random the result will show up each round. Also this will not actually determine their pay out structure.

Even if there are lots of people verify how fair they are. The house edge actually play huge role on how the casino could possibly earn.

You or anyone can possibly prove if the result is manipulated or not, but you provably cannot beat the house edge by doing those random checks.

This thread is about Betfury, I was shocked when I read through it but it's making sense too, let's all be realistic for once, if casinos games are made on 50/50 chances we will have many winners than losers trust me.

If the truth is been revealed about how casinos provably fair plays out I believe that many gamblers could have a change of mind about gambling, the game is never meant to be fair enough, if it is casinos won't last long.

What kind of justice is expected here because in the end there will always be suspicion especially when we feel defeated, right?
For me the casino is a businessman and we gamblers are customers nothing more than that so this is like a paid game and there is no way the businessman wants to lose in the business he runs.

Of course there are a lot of sites that are proven to be fair and pay including for most of the sites on this forum but do they want to make their business a loss? Of course the answer is no because in any sense we certainly know that no matter how hard we try the gambler will never be able to beat the city and this should have been realized from the beginning.
They are businesses running services in terms of Service and we pay to gamble it by hoping luck comes to us and that should already be said to be fair to the duties and functions of gamblers and bookies.
