While some people are busy spreading fake news about Bitcoin mining ( not good for the environment, etc ) this smart people are making use of the heat that's been generated from Bitcoin mining.

Imagine using Bitcoin miners heat to make 🍻 Beer..

Old but good Grin Mining industry can be used also with many other products that requires heating despite this is not the easiest approach.
I have seen even a couple of saunas and acquarium that use mining too.
Who knows Roll Eyes maybe in the long term this can become a new industrial application for the masses in the long term - likewise a mining device "inside" everywhere.

Pretty freaking cool! This is so outside of the box and creative way to transform bitcoin energy into a beautiful beverage! I love Bitcoin, and I love Beer! The two in combination together and being literally made from bitcoin energy is next level. We have all seen bitcoin marketed beers and stuff like that but this is truly next level! How do I get my hands on a 4 or 6 pack of these bad boys? I want some just simply to try but also just as a pure collectible. I can see these being worth a bit and part of some cool bitcoin history museum or something in the future. Very cool OP! Thanks for sharing!

Seeing from what Hawkesbury Brewing Co does in the article you provided actually their main focus is brewing as a binsis but making mining as an alternative when the brewery has excess solar energy is not the opposite.

But whatever it is this step is clearly very effective because to see the profit from mining which is about $2000 per month and enough to pay the electricity bill is clearly a very effective way to get more profit.

"The big problem for us with having batteries is that there is alcohol on site. Flammability's always a problem. Insurance companies just don't like the fact that you're storing electricity," Mr Neale said.

He did a lot of ways to minimize losses due to unexpected things and this mind blowing idea was very successful because Hawkesbury Brewing Co apart from overcoming their main problem which was quite dangerous, they also made a profit with the additional bitcoin mining they did.

So no one mentioned on how it's actually used. Based on the article, bitcoin miner's heat are used to make hot water.

And by that process, the water is used for the bottle cleansing. The heat which is the waste is being recycle to cleanse the bottle beers.

Also, the power used for the miners is from solar energy so no cost for them. I like his thoughts about the other usage of the heat that the miners generate.

More potential uses

Mr Neale believes the technique could be applied in other ways.

"We can see the potential for this for public swimming pools, recirculation of hot water in apartment buildings [and] manufacturing," he said.

"If you need hot water on site and lots of it, it's a way of being able to produce that hot water for the day."

This is the best thing I've read about Bitcoin this year so far, I wish this can make the headlines around the world.
This is an unexpected +1 Bitcoin utility lol.
The heat generated by bitcoin mining can be used for any purpose (even heating water for household needs). I believe it's unwise to waste this energy and simply "discharge" it into the atmosphere, so I think even brewing beer using the heat generated by mining is a very good idea.

In cold countries, some private miners use this heat to heat farms or greenhouses, for example, for growing strawberries (or other things).

In cold countries, there's a shortage of thermal energy, and many industries use heaters. Here, it would also be possible to combine mining with manufacturing. For example, it can be used to heat greenhouses, for example, when growing strawberries, when heat is directed through pipes in the ground under the plants, which allows for an extension of the fruiting period. That is, there are a lot of options for using this heat profitably.

If more companies integrate bitcoin mining into their production processes to utilize the generated heat, this will have a positive impact on decentralization (there will be more small independent miners).

I hope this pale ale can be purchased for bitcoin (if not, that would be a real embarrassment).

I am not a beer person but after reading the link and read where they make $2000 a month and this goes into covering their light bill I think it’s a brilliant idea.
They are recycling their power to effective use bringing about a product that is very high in demand in many countries.
I already see the question if the beer could be bought with bitcoin I would think so but another question I will want to know is how would this be taxed.

I second this! Honestly this is a very creative way of using it's heat and I know how people tend to get excited when something as novel as this happens. Yeah, this will sell itself and make the headlines in no time.
I read about a user asking if it could be purchased with Bitcoin and personally I feel this shouldn't be a question because this is another avenue to push Bitcoin adoption in areas where they don't really know it since most people love beer, they will not want to pass up on yhr chance of buying it. What will be more cool is when they can get it with fiat and also Bitcoin as well. Let's imagine a situation where for every Bitcoin you mine, you're also using the heat to produce beers, talk about using one stone to kill to birds.

I think we have seen a lot of ways to recycle energy from Bitcoin mining, but it is seldom being covered by media and it is, it's not as big as the mining effect in the environment. The latter though was the narrative of anti-Bitcoiner, and who would have forget this? Why everyone from Elon Musk to Janet Yellen is worried about bitcoin’s energy usage.

In any case though, I love this kind of original idea. At least another way to proved that there are positive effects of Bitcoin mining. And for sure majority of beer lovers here (including myself), loves to hear this kind of news.  Smiley

Janet Yellen used to be a FED chair from 2014 to 2018 and back in such past years, the USA and FED did not have plans to approve Bitcoin Spot ETFs in their country. Janet only said things against Bitcoin to support her policy in the past but she already finished with that job and Bitcoin has still grown well throughout her FED adminstration.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Yellen

Elon Musk said something about that in order to advertise Dogecoin, he is money incentivized to do that, so what he said about Bitcoin energy consumption is not worth to take into consideration seriously. Elon Musk knew well that without Bitcoin, there will be no existence of Dogecoin, but even he is smart enough, when he wanted to shill Dogecoin, he did that.

For those who are anti bitcoin, who always criticised Bitcoin mining, claiming it is a wasted heat, I welcome them to read the OP. Sounds like the real waste is coming from the factories, farms, etc who are yet to realise and recycle heat from bitcoin mining for their own benefit (I mean farms and factories with mining rigs closeby).

In my years and history of existence, I have never imagined such a thing happening. Well, it's now proven that we can take our byproducts and turn them into something valuable with a lot of creative perspective as many countries should focus more than always looking down on the damage it might cause…Well, it doesn't have to be beer. It could be greenhouses, homes, factory heating, drying crops, animals waste and warming pools and alot more…

LMAO 😁 what a very interesting headline news this would be on the TV to the government…I never imagined people coming up with this helpful mindset to recycle heat and change it to cool nice beers.…like cheers to a bottle 😁Jokes apart…

People never stop innovating and finding cool ways to achieve things. I’ve never seen anything like this but it’s cool.

Using excess energy to make beer can never be a bad thing, right?
There is heat produced or exhausted from Bitcoin mining operations and if people do nothing, it's heat exhaustion but if they use the heat for something, it becomes useful and heat in this context can be considered as heat production.

In fact, human civilization use heat for many purposes and heat production from Bitcoin mining has potential to be used in many industries, for many purposes.

This one is not to fermentation and make beers but to dry beef jerky.

Not at all, in fact it's even a very smart and eco friendly choice by the beer company, this their choice of using the energy from mining grid is even preventing the waste of energy and doesn't change the health effects of the beer, although not when the beer is being abused by consumer since it still contains alcohol which can still cause some health issues when someone abusively consumes it.

I didn't even know the heat could be use for this kind of production, I thought It was only exclusively for water heating and space heating during cold weathers.

Wow that's smart, this is one of the smartest thing I've read so far today, how did they come up with this idea? Id never thought it's possible, kudos to them for pulling this off.

Hope the governments who still believe that mining is harming the society will have a glaze at this atleast, lack of understanding is why people say things they don't know, instead of them to learn about them to get valid information first they come up with assumptions.
