Now when a Politician or Government argues that Bitcoin is bad for the environment, I will argue we can solve this by moving beer factories above mining rigs. In countries like ours this could backfire. The government is against alcohol (but gets most of its tax revenue from it ). Beer is being produced using Bitcoin, which sets a bad example so they might say let's ban Bitcoin. Wait a minute! They've already said that. Using Bitcoin in commercial areas is banned. If you open a coffee shop and say you want to accept Bitcoin payments, the government says nooo, it's forbidden. Unfortunately I live in a country like that. I really like the tin design though. I know people who collect coke, beer, energy drink etc. tins. I don't do it but I'd love to display a tin like that in my house.

I also saw that the brewery's excess solar energy, which they can't store for security reasons, is used to mine Bitcoin, generating virtually no extra cost but supplementary income. It's a smart use, especially since it's solar energy, which, in theory, is cheaper. This is the purest example of an entrepreneur with vision.

While some people are busy spreading fake news about Bitcoin mining ( not good for the environment, etc ) this smart people are making use of the heat that's been generated from Bitcoin mining. Imagine using Bitcoin miners heat to make 🍻 Beer.. You heard me right, freaking Beer 🍺.. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-07-25/bitcoin-mine-generates-heat-to-produce-beer/106831374This is the best thing I've read about Bitcoin this year so far, I wish this can make the headlines around the world. This is an unexpected +1 Bitcoin utility lol. Bitcoin mining is environmental friendly, this is a fact and we must let everyone know this, those that like propagating false information about Bitcoin should also be informed, the energies exerts from Bitcoin mining can be used on different purposes and are made applicable desperate the fact that they are still environmental friendly, only that it is not a good idea saying our government being unable to utilize that of the natural minerals mining for an effective use or application for the benefits of Man.

I would say government most times treats Bitcoin in a different way cause of the money. That can go ahead with things that brings them income through tax but go on with restricting Bitcoin payments. That shouldn't stop us from seeing the value which bitcoin has, I do believe that as time goes more places would accept Bitcoin. I love this tin design it eye catching, I won't really mind having some on my shelf, it will be a nice collection even if you aren't a fan for beer.

From what I know, the heat from Bitcoin mining can be used for various purposes, but for brewing, that's something I've never heard of before. I give them a thumbs up for their innovation, they've truly put the excess heat to creative use. Even more than that, they've truly utilized the heat effectively for bottle washing and hot water storage, something I think is very innovative for just a brewery.

I can't remember the book title but I know I've read a book that said "waste is only regarded as waste when nobody finds a use for it." This project is a true demonstration that statement.
Those criticize Bitcoin miners because of the amount of energy they consume can now see that beyond what they see over use of energy is an opportunity to make beers.
This will definitely change how people look at Bitcoin mining. Hopefully, more projects like this will emerge

For a fact, I don't think Bitcoin mining even consumes as much energy as AI does but the only reason why there's so much noise about the energy consumption is because the government basically don't want it to degrade the traditional fiat currency system that they control. This innovation in converting Bitcoin mining energy to produce beers is no different from using alternative sources of energy to power residential buildings around where the mining operations is and it shows that no energy is wasted actually if one knows what to do with it. Nice innovation and good use of wasted energy, I must say.

This is an unexpected +1 Bitcoin utility lol. News like this, it will be hard for the media to spread when the major side effects of Bitcoin(affects the environment) that the government and media have held on to for far too long against Bitcoin are what the miners of Bitcoin have converted to something useful: producing beer and using the income to pay power bills. That's really thoughtful. I am sure, soon or later, other Bitcoin miners will follow suit, to use the heat from mining Bitcoin to produce other things, if not just beer

It can be the utility of mining infrastructure. Not Bitcoin's.
Critics have preached for years that every joule of heat in Bitcoin mining is waste. No more heat is generated in anything else. But they willfully forget that data center, AI server or any other high performance computing also generate huge heat.
The difference is that Bitcoin miners are gradually looking for way to turn that heat into an economic asset and that's market based innovation. But are other source that emit huge amount of heat looking for a way like miners? no
Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised to see more project in future like this brewery in Australia.

For those who are anti bitcoin, who always criticised Bitcoin mining, claiming it is a wasted heat, I welcome them to read the OP. Sounds like the real waste is coming from the factories, farms, etc who are yet to realise and recycle heat from bitcoin mining for their own benefit (I mean farms and factories with mining rigs closeby).
Those anti-Bitcoiners are blinded by their hate for Bitcoin; they can barely accept the truth. Before now I have seen videos of different kinds where excess heat has been put to good use for household but critics will always keep there stand they will come up with and excuse to discredit it.

This is an unexpected +1 Bitcoin utility lol. It's a pretty unique breakthrough by a Bitcoin miner, something that other Bitcoin miners had never even considered before. And if the heat generated by Bitcoin can be used to make beer, I'm also starting to wonder if that heat could also be used for other things, like boiling raw water or cooking other raw foods. But I've never seen anything like that before, because I don't have any large Bitcoin mining machines around. But if unique things like this can continue to be created from the heat of Bitcoin mining, perhaps in the near future, more new miners will try it.

I read through the article and it was wow. What what I read, the computers for mining are always hot, and then a coolant is needed to to maintain the temperature, and this coolant is an alcohol, therefore, after this alcohol is used to cool the computers, it may goes to waste. So the recycling process has to do with returning the used alcohol into useful beer that wouldn't harm the body.
It's a chemical process though, but what's important is that, the Bitcoin mining industry is now generating double income, mining fees and beer fees.. that's incredible.

First of all, whenever someone says that Bitcoin is bad for the environment, I inevitably get very annoyed because that isn’t true, and if you accept that it’s bad for the environment, then almost everything ends up being bad for the environment. I read the article about using the waste heat to produce beer and really liked the idea. It’s a brilliant initiative. Initiatives like this should definitely be supported. It’s also great for all of us that news like this is coming out. The article explains the details very clearly. Processes like this are promising for the future, and carrying out such processes using Bitcoin is also very good for all of us.

Since its a Bitcoin beer would it get you high or down There are quite other things it can be used for like Greenhouses and From what I recall there's a user that use the spare heat to warm their home. Using excess energy to make beer can never be a bad thing, right?
A good beer makes good moments better and has been doing that for years. Though I believe this idea would be nice in location where heating is expensive and electricity relatively cheap.

Thats such a smart move by the brewing company.
It sounds like they have a system in place which they can switch on and off when required or not and its centered around solar. As they say when they have excess solar power they can switch on the miner which runs almost for free and the by product is hot water, its almost like a 'circular economy'.
Good business and entrepreneur skills. I'm sure there are more stories like this out there.

Do not worry, Mining Farms can always end up being used to serve double purpose as they could heat water or probably even houses!

No matter how small or large the adoption. Let's do it, I doubt it will only interest the brewers only bro It's a nice 👍🏻👍🏻 one. I am into Bitcoin mining myself and I have always get rid of the heat because I am using a very small room, I had to get some ventilator pipe and shroud to pass the heat away, still it's not something that is health hazardous. When there is too much cold weather I intentionally lose the shroud to heat my room up, to me this is another usefulness of Bitcoin mining heat, I'm impressed to see people this smart making use of the heats for beer. If I have the power I would celebrate this normally, just imagine if this happened around 2012 it would have been something to stamp on what Bitcoin heat can be used for. I'm looking forward to that brewing competition lol.

Hah, if I didn't mine anything, at least I'll have something to drink.
But mining Bitcoin is a non-stop activities, I don't think it ever goes on shut down, though I'm not sure since I haven't been in any Bitcoin mining company and see how their operation goes. But whatever makes the process stops, beer production also stops. the staff could literally have that mindset, if operation stops, at least there is beer for calm down. Lol
