AI dealers — the next big change for online casinos?

Why would anybody be tipping a robot? I don't see a single reason. Afaik the point of the tipping culture is hospitality provided by the service person, now what 'extra' do you expect from robot!?

In certain regions, tipping becomes a habit so they will throw in some chips irrespective of who is on the other side. I am not very familiar with online live games, even though it is kind of very popular in our country and now it's not.

AI dealers can become so realistic over the period of time, so yeah it is a possibility that table managers will no longer have jobs, and one more to add to the list the AI will potentially replace in the future.

Personally, for me I don't think AI can replace humans completely, even though they can be seen in a lot of areas. What makes live casino more interesting for people is not the game itself but the real interaction is with humans, the dealers responds will be natural. Even though AI gets to the point of acting like human, as a players I will still prefer real Human dealer because it will feel more genuine to me. What can only happen is that casinos can use AI where it can be used while the Human dealers will stay for people that value real life experience. That don't mean both of them can't work in hand with each other, they can both coexist, but it all depends on what each player wants.

A clear and solid example of how humans can't completely be replaced by AI is the recent event where Ford, the very famous automobile manufacturer, rehired their fired engineers after AI workers or things done using AI instead of humans weren't up to the quality the company expected which human workers usually provided, they realized that they made a mistake by letting their human engineers go so that they can be replaced by AI. The same thing can happen to any company, firm, or platform, because even if they start using AI, humans will still be needed with it to provide better quality.

I actually like the idea you mentioned about humans and AIs co-existing in live casino games, or better, there could be two rooms of the same game from the same casino, where one table is managed by a human, and the other one is managed by AI, and gamblers can choose whichever they like more. However, I don't think casinos would do that, because replacing humans with AI would only be done if they want to save money, and having both will only make them spend more money, which wouldn't make any sense.

AI can never be compared with human knowledge in terms of discussion and contribution to what the player needs and of course, the ai are being encoded with a sets of commands that usually generate from gamblers whereby immediately they ask whatever questions that is connected and inline with the sets of commands you would definitely see the AI given you the responses as commanded. But in real life human dealer it is more interactive than AI, although I know that AI has so much improved but that I still have this mixed feelings that ai can’t really handle and solve real life problems regarding to what the player may asked.

Will AI replace live dealers, or will players always prefer a real person?

We wouldn’t know the direction this will go towards. The more reviews player give on AI dealers compared to a human dealer the more we would know the directions.
As for now, I think no matter the humanistic characteristics, features, and mannerisms given to AI the connection will not be there, they will still feel AI. In the end, it is either the operators change or players adapt to the new normal of an AI dealer.

There is no way you'll know the difference between AI and human dealers, they'll all respond the same way except you are told whether it's AI or not, but the problem I'm seeing with companies especially casino ones are the steps taking by their managers to replace human based jobs with AI, it's frustrating someone who had thought of securing a job forever to go broke home. It's unfair.

Even though AI has developed very well in recent years and we can now see how AI is able to interact with humans more naturally than ever before, it still has limitations compared to human dealers.. AI has limited ability to interact like humans.. you will never be able to replace how a real human dealer reads the table and makes the game more enjoyable for the players. With that in mind, I don't think that AI dealers will be able to replace human dealers because that would remove one of the biggest reasons many people enjoy live casino games in the first place.

I know that some people dont like to communicate with bots. I think when they communicate with AI dealers, they will imagine and think that they are talking with bots. That is why I think they wont prefer communication with AI. Moreover, we are getting to much AI already; use them everywhere. I also think if casinos add AI dealers, gamblers will start searching for human dealer to play with.

Correct. There's too much AI in almost everything now. Why inject it into live gambling or live betting? I mean, there's no sense to it. That's the only time a gambler will probably have a social interaction, and they might as well maximize that to keep the customer from coming back.
In terms of marketing, it is a bad idea. Many gamblers are not socially inclined, and that's why they gamble. It may only be the time that they can talk and interact with someone when they are playing.

I know many people who on purpose go to offline casino or while playing online, chose games with live dealer. They do that because they lack of communication or feedback while gambling. I believe you would agree that it is better to get some response about your gameplay, then gambling in silence and hearing only game sounds. Like watching sports on TV and mute sound. You get what is going on on the screen, but with sound and commentary that would be much exciting.

I also dont get how AI dealer would imitate emotions while talking. All the AI that I talk to speak in same calm manner. When talking to bots or AI (usually it is support or my questions to AI) I quickly get used to its same tone. It is easy to notice that you are speaking not with a real person. And that always disappoints me.

But I get your point; it's really unfair when these platforms swap out real dealers for AI, plus another loss here is the day job of these dealers that will get replaced by AI. Platforms will have less expense, but these normal people will lose their jobs.

But if this is the future, I'll accept it. As long as it is fair. But what's amazing for me is that we have options: platforms will probably offer both for a while and let us decide what we like to use more.
