But you made the right decision because if gambling is affecting you in a way that you are not having savings, it is not good. Do these casinos have self exclusion options? Would not it be better than closing account, because you wont lose your wagering records and account levels.

It is so great that felt that you are in trouble and took action instead of ignoring all. But besides closing account that you were using for gambling, I think you need to do something more if yoi want to have a real effect. Also, just a suggestion, if you have marketing email subscriptions to casinos, you might want to unsub those, you might still get promotional emails from them even if you have closed or permanently self-excluded your accounts.

May I ask if you will in anyway have a chance to come back? Is this like saying you will never gamble again for the rest of your life? For me its not realistic cause going to casino is one way of comforting myself and have a relaxation time. So quitting is a tough decision. But in your case I feel that you are in deep state of addiction or longing it and probably lose a lot?

Recently I've been going through too much chaos in life, and have to set my priorities straight.
I was losing too much when I gambled, always chasing losses, getting furious when I lose, so I made a decision to quit.

Savings takes times and it's why many people believe that it's not working, I've lost 30k in USD in one go and after doing some match I figured that this is something I can safe up in a matter of couple years, savings is effective if done right, I'm sorry for your experience with gambling but the fact is gambling isn't on gambler's side.

If you don't know this before now you know, gambling is something you use discipline for, is the only effective armour you got, use a very small amount of money and don't ever increase the amount, don't dream of solving your financial problems using gambling, this is the real reason why many gamblers got stucked. You made a good decision but it will be difficult to just stop immediately most expecially when you are addicted to gambling, many gamblers has taken such decisions before some have even said they won't be gambling again but they see them self still gambling. If you are not addicted to gambling stopping immediately is possible but if you are addicted will still reopen the close account or open another one.

This is completely a personal decision, and if you have decided to close your gambling account based on what you have been losing on those gambling site. Sorry for going through chaos but I will say maybe it was as a result of your recklessness or carelessness in your gambling because if you were disciplined and responsible in your gambling activity I don't think you will ever be in a chaos and even if you would be in a chaos it won't be as strong as the way you sounded in this post. This is a very good decision. If you feel that your gambling level is increasing and you are deeply addicted to gambling, then stopping gambling will definitely be a good decision. Congratulations on your decision, but be careful now. Just because you've closed your accounts at two casinos doesn't mean you can't open another one somewhere else and start gambling again. You have plenty to choose from.

That's the best thing you can do. Focus on things that motivate you, on saving, and on improving your financial future—which is exactly the opposite direction you were heading in.

As long as they are willing to direct their attention to something else then they should be able to stick to their conviction to stop gambling, it's not always easy, while itsy have been hinted at there is actually mention of addiction so at the very least they won't be fighting that much addiction urge, they may have been addicted to a certain point, now in order to follow through with with their decision they will have give that time to something else and a business is a good distraction.

Good for you. I'm congratulating you for fighting the urge to gamble. As a gambler, I would say how tough it is to fight it. It's not as easy as it seems. It is easier said than done. Hopefully, you won't come back after weeks, months, or years of not playing coz once you come back, it will probably be even worse than what you have experienced.

The most difficult part in resolving your gambling addiction is the acknowledgement that you are indeed suffering.
