Hello friends, today marks a day of a really tough decision I had to make.
To gamble, or not to gamble.

Recently I've been going through too much chaos in life, and have to set my priorities straight.
I was losing too much when I gambled, always chasing losses, getting furious when I lose, so I made a decision to quit.
I've closed both my Stake and Roobet accounts, which are the only 2 online casinos I play at.
I can't lie, it was fun, it was thrilling, I've had ups and downs, but after looking at my wager and statistics for both sites, I've lost too much when I could've been saving that.
I have quit gambling, and am now focusing on my business and to save up my money.

You made the right decision when you felt like you were losing control. Not many of us are quick to close our casino accounts. I've tried several times, but I always failed because when I closed my casino account, my weekly and monthly bonuses were forfeited. lol

Hopefully, you can get through this. One thing you can do to stay away from gambling is to keep yourself busy with activities outside the home and avoid gambling ads while using your phone.

Quitting gambling is not actually a wrong decision, especially when you discover that gambling is not favourable to you, and I would say gamblers like you are the responsible gamblers being able to make decision, and stand by it. Many gamblers are really facing this kind of situation, they loose good money to gambling, they are also addicted, but can't really take a decision. Addiction in gambling has really recked them, push them into incurring depth, and even cause problem in their relationship, but they are unable to resolve this themselves.
As gamblers taking control of your emotions is very necessary, this enables responsible gambling, and also enable you stay under control.

Gambling Is not for the weak heart neither is it for the faint heart.. if you must remain in gambling you must be gambling with what you can afford to lose because gambling is not a place that can guaranteed you a regular winning but, when the winning comes you would see it as something that is not readily plans for you. Of course when you keep expecting winning it would never come that is why most people see it as a place to have more fun while gambling than expecting it to be a place of much profits. I've always believed that gambling is not for everybody and if are into gambling then realizes that is is not for you your best decision is to quit and move on instead of becoming addicted (a slave) to it, better to avoid something that you're clearly seeing that it is ruining you than staying and believing that you can overcome. When I was as at a crossroad in gambling and considering whether I should quit or not because I thought that I could make a lot of money from gambling, I decided to change strategy and gamble for entertainment instead. Now I don't consider to quit gambling because I take it very casual, I no longer see it as a place to become rich instead I see it as a place where I can pay small amounts to entertain myself, I see winnings as a reward. If you're in control of your gambling there is no need to quit but if you cannot control yourself then by all means it is a good decision to quit.

Whether it is a good decision completely depends on you. From a neutral perspective, I would say it’s a good thing that you realised you were making more losses through gambling. However, stopping it suddenly can be really difficult.

What you could have done instead is gamble within limits. For example, rather than playing casino games, you could place bets on sports matches. I am not saying you should bet on every sporting event but rather choose a match, analyse it carefully, and then decide whether to place a bet.

The reason I am suggesting this is that you can’t build wealth simply by saving money. Money grows by investing it or by taking calculated risks. If you’re able to take calculated risks and remain disciplined then occasional sports betting may be an option. Otherwise I would say that quitting gambling altogether and focusing on your business is the ideal choice.

This seems to tell OP to go back to betting, just not on casino games but on sports betting instead. I think this is still risky, because sports betting can also become another kind of addiction that could cause more losses again and make someone feel comfortable or even more into betting even if it looks different from casino games. I totally support your motion because sometimes a gambler can take good decisions about his gambling experience and decide to closing his accounts as OP did, well i have to congratulate him on this decision but being careful of not going back to his decision is another thing different entirely and deciding to go back to gambling allover again is another thing all together, so since he have observed himself of being at a grater lost, i will encourage him the more because this is one the best decision he has taking in this year and i will also advise he to focus more on what can yield success to his life.

For an addicted gambler to quit gambling is a tough decision but to maintain that stand of quiting gambling is the most toughest part in addicted gambler's life. The profit from your business shall be utilized. In gambling there is always a gambler. Op you would have been a moderate gambler instead of chasing loses. Because this chasing of loses ha been the bottleneck for gamblers that making them to lose more. It's a good thing you have come to a realization, since you were losing too much, quitting is your only option. If you reached a certain level wherein you can no longer have control to your gambling activities, just like the way you chase your losses and become angry when you are losing, that's already a sign of unhealthy gambling.

Finally you have realized and decided to be more mindful with the way you spend and manage your finances.  However, I know it wasn't an easy step/decision you made but sometimes in life, it's important we identify the root  cause of our problem and get rid of it at once. What's important now is if you have something tangible that you can fall back on or probably start life with. But anyway,  I won't say much but wish you good luck on your newest journey in life. I noticed that your business involves casino too so it will be a tough time making yourself abstain on gambling if you keep yourself stay in the loop on casino matters.

Been there few years ago when I have some problem on my gambling spending. It’s hard to completely stop due to my activity in forum signature campaign that involves gambling posting. The biggest mistake to make as a gambler is chasing your loss it will always lead you to losing more money no matter how careful you try to be. Now that you have decided to stop gambling,but is important you try as much as possible to avoid having any discussion with your friends who are gamblers because their success stories can motivate you to go back to reopen the accounts you just deleted which will not be a good one for you.

It's too early to celebrate, I dare you to keep it closed for a month or two and let's see how you will manage that, many gamblers know what to do once they knew that they are addicted but keeping it that way is where they failed.

You only closed your two accounts, to me it's not an accomplishment, because it takes a angry mind to close their gambling accounts but to maintain that decision is going to be hard, what would stop you from creating a new account on another casino?

That's it, give made the decision so let's see if you will keep it this way for months to come, it's where so many gamblers have failed so far.
