I think the person who asked the question made the right suggestion. As far as I know, self-exclusion policies even consistently restrict the casino from further interaction with you, such as non-revocation, no advertising/promotional emails, etc. Closing an account simply means leaving the current casinos, not making it difficult to sign up for another one.

For an addicted gambler to quit gambling is a tough decision but to maintain that stand of quiting gambling is the most toughest part in addicted gambler's life. The profit from your business shall be utilized. In gambling there is always a gambler. Op you would have been a moderate gambler instead of chasing loses. Because this chasing of loses ha been the bottleneck for gamblers that making them to lose more. A moderate gambler play game with why he can afford to lose and stay back for sometimes before gambling again and h doesn't visit casinos frequently but occasionally. And withdraw when he win and he didn't keep it back and use them again in the casino. Sorry for your loss.

You have taken a very good decision by closing down your account. It is not the full way for someone to quit gambling completely because some people have closed their gambling accounts and, after a few months, they still find a reason to open another account. But I will say that closing down a gambling account is a good step for someone who truly wants to quit gambling completely.
The main thing is how you can control yourself and find no reason to continue again later.

Weird decision. As i know anyone who didn't ever wanna look back at casino would always be putting themselves from self-exclusion to ensure they had additional layer would help them not to be distracted from gamble. At least, it's show you're 100% committing not to touch casino again.

I love the fact op is self aware of whatever situation he/she is right now, some might not discover they’re into a very bad situation basically they’re deceived with gambling profit so the moment there’s a few profit all of sudden they neglect past experience when they had more losses resulting to financial crisis.

This is entirely your personal opinion. You took gambling in a way that you should never have. Gambling is not a means of earning money. Many people have already made many comments here which you will surely understand the views of others if you read it. I will only say that you are losing that is why you are quitting gambling. If you had profit, you would have continued. It is normal to win or lose in gambling. There are many gamblers here who get very excited after losing but after a few days when they realize it, they want to get involved in gambling again.

My suggestion to you is that you should wait a few days without rushing. It would be most effective if you can take a decision with a healthy mind. There are many new gamblers on the forum who have self-excluded themselves after not being able to bear the loss and later regretted it. So, you should not rush into taking any decision.

Only a small percentage of gamblers are able to see that they are going by the way side and even to the extent of making the decisions to quit gambling completely. I've always never bought the idea of self exclusion. I see it as an unrealistic way to quit your gambling habits. When you fund out that your gambling life is beginning to bring chaios into your personal life, it's best to take a step back and look into other aspects of life. I don't understand why a gambler doesn't think about his or her future, I feel sorry for you, but if you hadn't tried to recover your losses, you probably wouldn't have had to face so much financial loss.
Basically, it's really difficult to control emotions after losing, from this emotion gamblers lose control, and from this their losses begin. Anyway, you realized after losing a lot of things, although it was too late for you to realize it, if you realized it earlier, you wouldn't have lost so much, but you finally realized that's the main thing.

Not everyone gambles, and even when they have seen evidence of people who have become successful as gamblers, that doesn't even entice them. There is nothing so special about gambling, so someone can put it to stop if he or she likes.

First of all, congrats on your decision. It's indeed a very smart move. At least you've prevented one side that was eating you up, because it would have turned to something else if you didn't stop. Honestly, i think gamblers need to do this sometimes to prevent some unnecessary losses in gambling. Stoping permanently is the best way to overcome addiction.

TBH, I'm still a little skeptical that you've truly quit gambling for good. I used to be in the same position as you. I completely stopped gambling for a few years, but eventually I came back.

The truth is that you brought this upon yourself,  because if you had maintain gambling rules things would have been much better for you. But it seems that your focus I mean your plans was to  make money from gambling forgetting that gambling is not a source of income, it's just a game of luck. This is true, it's very hard, I even tried closing my Roobet account a couple weeks ago, and I failed to commit back then.
But now, it's official. I've quit and do not want to come back to gambling.
