Are compliments important from an employer?

While it is important and motivating for employees to receive praise and encouragement from employers, and to increase productivity, I do not see it as a necessary condition or a matter of utmost importance. A person can do their job to the fullest extent without receiving praise from their manager.

In my opinion, this issue is mainly related to the employer, because if he is good at management and wants to get the best results and the best work from his employees, he should always strive to encourage them through praise or through incentive-based financial rewards.

Complimenting someone's work motivates them to work harder and make more efforts in their work.

However this boils down to a discussion on the good thing and bad things in life. Both of them need to be kept in balance. If you are complimenting someone you should also include some bad things about them to point out in the same conversation, which is naturally going to be a sugar-coated bitter candy. But this works to motivate them.

At the same time the superior has to remain professional having experienced the troubles of the subordinates some time in the past.

The facts is that some employers are complimentary to workers while some are not due to their inborn character, so you should identify the type of boss you have, if he/she is the type that doesn't give a fuck about your hardwork, then you have to do your work and get paid without expecting a compliment. Or better still you can fish a place where your efforts can be appreciated. But don't also forget that some boss may not complement you in words but they can in giving bonus on salary.

As a boss I don't need to be feared but need to be respected, your actions will determine how your workers treat you. I will do what is right, joke and be funny when it is necessary but reselence.

Well, thats true that compensation and recognition has a different roles in the workplace. good and balance compensation reflects the signed value of an employee's work while a sincere compliments acknowledges the efforts and a positive outcome that goes beyond the management expectations. However, compliments alone are not enough to sustain employees motivation...If recognition is not supported by a fair or higher compensation, opportunities for growth or reasonable working conditions, then an employee may eventually view praise as insincere or as a substitute for a meaningful support...Words of appreciation are most impactful when they reflect an organization's commitment to treating employees fairly and rewarding their contributions appropriately.

I also think that financial rewards will be the best motivator for employee. If the employer comes and tell, private or on among all stuff, that I worked well and he thanks me for my performance, that will motivate me for a short period of time. That wont encourage me to give 200% of my self at work, stay late or to work extra hours. That can be only a verbal one time motivator. And most important, there is no way I can use that compliment to get any benefit for myself in future. I can not brag with it, nor show, for example to my family, that I am the «the best employee».

If an employee performance happens to drop in the future simply because the company that usually appreciates their employees efforts and performance in work decided to stop for whatever that might be their own reasons I think is very wrong of the employees to have allow their performance to drop, every employees should know that appreciating employees with extra money is never an obligation rather it is a choice so when it is no longer coming employees shouldn't allow it affect their job performance and this is only reasonable.

Many times employees respect their boss very much and if the boss treats their workers well and praises them for their work at that moment then it can definitely be said that the morale of the workers increases and they try their best thus increasing the maximum profit of the company. I would basically see this as a kind of encouragement for the workers and for the bosses it is definitely a kind of credit where both are just for the compliments that the company has achieved the maximum profit.

There are many company bosses who treat their workers very badly so that if they put the workers under a lot of pressure, they cannot evade work. For this reason, instead of treating the workers well, they put them under a lot of pressure and sometimes they also give them punitive measures. But in this case, it is seen that the workers get mentally broken and are forced to leave the company. In my case, I will definitely treat my employees very well and I will definitely be interested in hearing compliments from them.

In my personal opinion, everyone clearly has a different opinion on this matter, because basically, in the workplace, everyone wants to feel comfortable even when tired. So,, for me, I prefer my boss to be professional about the work I do. So, basically, if I make a mistake, I won't complain if I'm reprimanded, because I realize that I'm wrong. If my work is good,, I don't really ask for anything, except perhaps a promotion to a better position in the future. I think that's how it would be if I were an employee.

But if I were a boss,, of course I would also be professional towards my subordinates. Because that's what matters most in the workplace. Because by being professional, I feel everything will feel easier. So, whether I'm feared or loved, I don't really care. Because I'm at work,, not in my own home. So that's my personal opinion.

All workers want to be praised for their work and to start with praise, they should be given bonuses.On the other hand, all bosses want their workers to praise their bosses. But in our country, most bosses like to exploit workers. They think that if they exploit workers, the workers will not neglect their work or even evade it.
Moreover the workers in my country are mainly oppressed by supervisors and after being tortured by supervisors, they are again humiliated by the bosses and have to be held accountable for every work. I think that in no other country in the world are the workers oppressed so much by the bosses as the workers in my country are oppressed by the bosses.
However if the workers are treated well and praised, the workers will increase the speed of work. But instead of doing that, the workers are put under severe pressure.

They only keep an eye on good deeds and bringing honor to you, otherwise we have seen many such officers who have given all their work to people whom they trust and they do not keep an eye on them because these people have built a foundation of their honor and honesty in front of them which shines in their eyes. Taking praise from big institutions does not mean that you will become a great person, but the hard work you have done in your work, you were worthy of this praise due to which many people are praising you. In this, you only have to walk with the faithful, if you choose the other path, then one day it will come to light and it will become a bad name for you, so by always doing a little work and doing good, one day you will get success in your life.

Building good relationships with your employees as an employer is very vital . The truth is that know when to play around and when to be serious, yes is still good when your employee’s fears you also , having that fear they won’t want to disappoint. So having both habit as an employer will be golden , which make you and you employees work more effectively.

I totally agree with that. It is important for an employer to be lenient and appreciative where needed, but this doesn't mean that he should be lenient enough at all times for his/her employees to take him/her for granted. If you become too lenient in every situation, your employees will stop taking you seriously because they will start to believe that you won't do or say anything, so they won't do things the way they should do them, and this can make things take a bad turn. A lot of people will misuse the good nature of another person, which can be found in the corporate world a lot, so it is important for a boss to know how to handle every situation.

When an employee isn't doing the job well, and you know that they are capable enough to do it, and you also know that there is no valid reason behind it, it could just be laziness or something not very important, then you are not supposed to be lenient and easy on them, but you should do what a boss should do. Scold them, threaten them that you will replace them if they continue doing this, and they should understand you won't take such things easily. However, when the situation demands that you show empathy, because there is a valid reason why an employee couldn't do something, or couldn't be present when they should, then it is important that you handle the situation calmly and do what an understanding person would do at that moment.
