Based on the survey, Bukele is loved by the people and likely to win again as the president of El Salvador serving the country for his third term.
If the survey is correct and Bukele continues his term as president of El Salvador for a third term, then the 1 Bitcoin/day Bitcoin policy is certain to be safe during his new term. Bitcoin has become a national program in El Salvador, no longer just an experiment. The reason he is so loved by his people is because they have already felt the great benefits of Bukele hard work so far, including increased tourist visits, cheaper remittances, national branding, and the rising price of Bitcoin.

In a country that implements a democratic system, every policy will always be opposed by political opponents. In my opinion, Bukele's political opponents are already preparing for the "continue buying 1 Bitcoin/day or stop" debate. The impact of a series of attacks by political opponents will significantly impact the country's Bitcoin accumulation policy. The government cannot completely cover up everything related to Bitcoin, so it needs to be openly accountable to the people.

Bukele has proven one thing so far, he has a very strong commitment (1 Bitcoin/day non-stop), but now the test has shifted from economics to politics. I hope Bukele can continue his term because 7,725 Bitcoins can no longer be ignored, it is too large to be removed from national ownership.

Openly figure from El Salvadors Bitcoin office shows national holdings have move upward about 7, 725.37 BTC as of July 27, up from roughly 7,700 BTC a month before. It's steady recalls that President Nayib Bukele's daily increases plans remains intact despite changing regulations. This also means that in the nearest future Bitcoin will eventually become part of government projects and controls policy.

The government of El Salvador has gained the most popularity because of its commitment to Bitcoin daily investment. If I reveal some past information about El Salvador, it must be remembered about their crime and terrorism. The government of El Salvador has seen the widespread riots and terrorist crimes among its people with the most hateful eyes, which has been eradicated after the country has become calm.
And now that Bitcoin investment is almost successful, the country is moving towards more progress, the country will be more politically calm in the future because Nayib Bukele has shown enough prudence. He has been most successful in bringing his country to the peak of development because he has given the highest priority to Bitcoin.

We cannot simplify an election that directly affects lots of lives to a test for bitcoin. To us as bitcoiners it is a big deal to have a government name bitcoin as a legal tender and also be so vocal about adoption among its citizens and accumulation.  But to someone living there there are lots more they judge a ruling party by.

Whatever the outcome of the election the current president has already made a claim for bitcoin to remain in the future of the nations financial policy.

Bitcoin would be one of the least important issues that will be used for political campaigns in El Salvador. Security/crime, relations with the US, human rights, and cost of living will be more important to El Salvadorians than Bitcoin. I am not from the country, but from the information I have gathered, crime has reduced drastically. The country has been named one of the safest countries in Latin America. As someone who lives in a country with a high rate of crime, it would be my major concern when voting in an election.

A new government might change such financial policy by amending the laws that give such policy legal backing. The Bitcoin accumulation policy is guaranteed to survive if a friendly government is in power.

People like him, he may likely become the president again but is it now getting to what some people will say it is no more democratic government.
No matter how a government is responsive and with good working policies for the country, there would always be some of those who never gets satisfactory with what the regime may have done or doing. If you look at the socioeconomic conditions of El Salvador. I do think that a lot of Salvadorians may want Bukele to continue as president again as I think that his biggest problem isn't even the political opponents, but the IMF, Bukele has continued to defile their stands against El Salvador continuous purchasing of bitcoin as strategic reserve and making it a legal tender.

Even after what seems to be the recent IMF loan agreement to the country that is attached with conditions that they should stop growing the country's bitcoin holdings, yet, Bukele still continues to buy bitcoin through the NBO. This can make the IMF to in a cloak collaborate with any of the aspiring candidates that would be willing to lick their ass against Bukele.

To make things continue to work the way it has always been, I don't think that the use of Bitcoin should be motivated into election because it will be politically motivated, we are trying to concentrate much on decentralization and individuals right to vote and not to incorporate additional stop substitute to people's conscience, bitcoin is no more a strange adoption in El Salvador except the plan to harness their power of reaching out to people the more with bitcoin during the election period they are going into.

Given that it was the first nation to adopt Bitcoin as its "official currency," and even though it abandoned the "project" years later, it doesn't surprise me that they want to explore greater possibilities and opportunities. El Salvador has already shown itself inclined to follow this path, and I don't think it will make a difference or influence the upcoming elections.

Yes, El Salvador was the first country in the world to legally recognize Bitcoin. Although they withdrew from that policy a few years later, they are continuing to invest in order to improve their financial situation as per their plan. Since there will be a lot of discussion and criticism around the elections, it is expected that they will take new steps in this sector in the future. The initiative taken by Nayeb Bukele does not seem to have a significant impact on the upcoming elections. The country prioritizes Bitcoin as part of its long-term economic strategy, so I think that the upcoming elections and political issues will not have much impact. If the country continues to invest in Bitcoin for the long term in the near future, then it will be able to improve its economy.

Yes, El Salvador was the first country in the world to legally recognize Bitcoin.
This information is not too accurate.

Bitcoin is legal in many nations, not only in El Salvador, it's only a first nation where Bitcoin "was" legal tender in 2021 but in early 2025, that nation changed their national policy and Bitcoin has been no longer legal tender there.

Quote
As part of a $1.4 billion loan agreed with the International Monetary Fund in December, the government’s involvement with the digital Chivo wallet will be “gradually unwound.” At the end of January, on a vote of 55-2, El Salvador’s Legislative Assembly passed modifications to the Bitcoin law, eliminating the word “currency” but keeping it legal tender. The changes will take effect May 1, 90 days after the legislation appeared in the official newspaper.

“Bitcoin no longer has the strength of legal tender,” economist Rafael Lemus told AFP.

Users are now free to accept Bitcoin or not, but it cannot be used to pay taxes or state bills.

Over the years, non El Salvadorans who are Bitcoiners has been praising the government's policies as regards to stacking Bitcoin and moves to even make it a legal tender.

Now, there's an election coming up with with two other strong candidates of the The Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA) and the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN). From what I read in the article you added to the thread, both candidates has "openly criticized" the current president's strategy while describing it as "fiscal failure rather than an economic success."

The result of the election will give us a clearer understanding of how El Salvadorans actually feel about Bitcoin. It is easy for us who doesn't live in the country to celebrate their level of adoption, now it's time for those living there to speak through the polls wether they support the current administration's Bitcoin strategy or not.
