Undoubtedly, natural disasters have a negative impact on the economy. Governments should provide some assistance to disaster victims in the aftermath of such events. However, they must fundamentally mandate development in disaster-affected areas that is appropriate for the type of disaster. As long as we live in harmony with nature rather than in opposition to it, we are a species capable of ensuring our survival. Species that refuse to live in harmony with nature, or that are unable to do so, have always failed and will continue to fail...
Another problem comes out when there's the disaster even in the sending of help to the victims. If there's a river flowing so much water and mud, then that kinda delays the aide that they need to have. It slows down economy and as well as the help that the victims need. And I do believe about what you've said that if we take care of nature, then it will also take care of us. This is the truth about life and as we grow older, we also have to accept the fact that even with so much care, a natural disaster is uncontrollable and it can't be dictated.

However, some disasters remain unpredicted and uncontrollable. This is why a government should have an advance plans and actions regarding climate disasters because once there is preparation, worst outcomes will also be prevented, if not totally avoided.
I agree, disaster preparedness should be on the shoulders of the government and not only when it comes, that's the time they'll plan.

My question is that " Should governments invest more in disaster prevention rather than disaster recovery ?
Disaster prevention isn't really something a government should or should not do, by all right the government is meant to protect lives and the best way to protect lives is to just prevent the disaster. Climate change definitely is affecting the economy even down to it affecting customer/business relationships like imagine if your place of business is suddenly flooded, unless your business can be done online, you probably just lost a couple of customers so definitely climate change affects the economy even in alot of ways we don't discuss probably because it doesn't affect us directly but generally it does affect the economy.

The thing there is that, most of the times we tend to underestimate the economic impact of climate change and that’s mostly because we focus mostly on the obvious effects. Floods and other natural disasters can mostly disrupt businesses, damage infrastructures, cause financial losses and affect customers, and this is the very reason why it’s crucial to prevent and prepare for it in any way possible.
