What does financial freedom mean to the Average Nigerian.

You need a good financial management to be financially free. When you have investments that generates income for you overtime and you spend less than your total income, you're financial free. It isn't easy to build wealth and control it to the point that you'll be financially free. I think for an average man when you build a house and can buy whatever you want till you go see your ancestors, you don achieve financial freedom my brother. Life no pass like this.

Na the truth be that na, you know say wetin some people dey think na em be financial freedom na when them don get enough money, like I mean become very wealthy, I know that one no bad too, e follow too but for me wetin you yan na sosoliso although you say na for ordinary man, but on a norm if person reach that where em fit buy wetin hungry chop, do things wey em need no bad things sha, come build better house as you talk am, that one means sey the person na baba na and I know think sey e get any financial freedom wey remain anywhere, if you ask me.

A thread wey dey ask questions, e go need answers and when di needed answer is given den you go fit look di thread. Now for your question. "Financial Freedom" e go come from different perspective and depends on the category of people. Rich people see financial freedom as di time wey dem no dey find money again and dem dey house dey eat there money but di poor people see am say, wen dem get di money and buy weti dem want but dem still dey find am so di view points e dey different.

And for me for di average Nigeria financial freedom na when di person get government job and get money through di salary payment and him go buy the things wey him like.

Financial freedom means different things to different people, so I expect people idea to dy different. I believe say financial freedom na when you don reach the level wey you no need to work again to dy alright, because you don put down structure in place wey go make your money work for you, and you as a person no go work for anybody again, na wetin financial freedom means to me, but some people believe say once them fit afford anything then like, them don dy financially free, but no be the main casala be that because financial freedom depends mostly on your source of income, no be how you decide to spend the money.

It is not easy to have a financial freedom in Nigeria right now and thank you for explaining what financially stable or freedom means already now the knowledge I think we also need is how to become financially secure in a country like Nigeria, a country where the economy is unstable and inflation is growing by the day.  There are different things we are supposed to do such as investing in stocks, investing money on landed properties and real estate, gold and other commodities too. Then save more money if you have more money into things which will bring money on daily or at least at a week interval so it can sustain you for a while in your daily expenses.

Having financial freedom in Nigeria is not easy as we speak because as you have said inflation is increasing on daily basis and the economy is not stable, you might have two naira today and if you go to the market the next day the money is totally useless because the prices of goods has gone up beyond the two naira you went to the market with so being financially free goes beyond investment in the sense that if you don't have enough money you still can't go into any investments such as real estate and Bitcoin as those investments requires huge capacity to start and stay at the top.

In Nigeria once a Man or family can eat three square meals it automatically means they have financial freedom but we can't be blamed for that because the system has made it look so and once you can solve your problems without calling anyone for help it means the person is rich. I agree with you for people to safe money where it will yield interest on daily basis because that's the way to survive in Nigeria right now.

But to be honestly speaking, been able to provide three square meals daily for your family does not in anyway automatically implies that a person is financially free or rich, as it is possible that he or she might be heavily engaged in working in a place where his earning ability is been controlled by someone, unlike the other way round, whereby you have full control over your work space, the money and even the ability to be still able to make money even in your absent. Thats what financial freedom actually means, most especially when you can still be sleeping and yet making money every hours or week.

I think we measure financial in our own view. People have different views of financial freedom. Why am I saying this? Someone can be earning like 600k monthly and he or she can be financially free. In essence, all expenses fall under his 600k. Both feeding, giving to love once. Think of everything you can. To him he is financially free. Cause at the end of the day, he can still save if he wants to. So measuring it as having a lot of assets, investment, and the rest. Doesn't equate financial freedom. That person might be earning so much, with all their investments and still leave above what he can actually afford. Will you now call that person financially free? Of course not. So financial freedom whatever someone earns is based on living below your means.

Not needing to work? I think you should check your meaning of financial freedom. What if someone has all assets that coverup all expenses. But still work, would you say that person is not financially free? I wouldn't. For me personally, I think financial freedom is when you have a choice to things that most people don't have choice over. They just do it because they need to do it. Nkt because they want to. There's a necessity there. But in the case of a financially free person, he or she doesn't need to do it or they do it. That's choice and financially free for me.

When we talk about financial freedom in Nigeria we are talking about how well and stable and balance you are without not worrying to get help from anyone. Financial freedom gives an average Nigeria the reason not to worry about inflation or worry about getting employed by the government. One of my good friend like that, I remembered in one of our conversation, he said if I can see a home to stay, see food to eat and than pay all his bills that he is satisfied with life. Now to the average Nigeria this is what we called financial freedom.

Financial freedom is the freedom that comes with affording whatever you want at any point in time without stress or the thought of replacing the money. Someone who is financially free is one who has secured his future with multiple investments both online amd offline so even without having to work, the money works for them. I think this is my own definition of financial freedom, though everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

Different people have their various opinions and understanding about what financial freedom is about for them.
But for an average Nigerian, it is seen as when an individual or people are able to meet or sort out their basic needs and necessities of life by their self  without worrying about money or without depending on anyone or their salary to meet their needs. Once there is enough money to fund and afford their day to day lifestyles and activities without having to stress their financially free.

For me financial freedom is being able to have control over my money and my life, making decisions and choices for myself  and stand on it also I need to be able to utilize my money well practice good money management skills, invest it properly create more businesses and income sources. There are people with money that spend recklessly and don't know how to manage funds and this might push them into huge expenses and debts, they don't have control over their money so one does not necessarily need to be a billionaire or trillionaire to be financially free.
