Yep, saying bitcoin transaction is free is a bit sugar coating, there's still some fee charged even though bitcoin has drastically become cheaper with ordinals losing popularity.
Though if I'm being frank if OP lives in EU the Instant SEPA settlement is instant and faster than bitcoin if we count the confirmation needed and the cost is almost the same as using bitcoin. Although if we compare bitcoin with the most used international bank transfers like SWIFT bitcoin wins.

Bitcoin is really the best for me too but don't expect everyone's opinion to match ours, some people will still prefer to use transfer or debit card to make payments and to them these are faster options than Bitcoin.

To me bank system can't be entirely escaped from, to spend and use Fiat you will still use the bank in the end, I wish there is a way around this but that's if all merchants for goods and foods start accepting Bitcoin, but it's never happening in my country.

When it comes to the cost of making transactions I believe that bank is better here, I can't tell how many times my bank app has given free transactions for me to make, a part of promotion I guess and still, dollar rate wise, Bitcoin is costly than bank transfer.

This is one area that i find the use of bitcoin more interesting because with it, international transaction has become way easier than it use to be in the past. i literally don't struggle to think on how to send money to any one in any part of the world as long as the person knows how bitcoin works and that the person has a bitcoin address. this is part of the reason why we should advocate that more people should get exposed to bitcoin if you want to make international transaction to a third party, the third party should know at least how to receive bitcoin or else you will have a lot of explanation to do  before sending the coin to him.

I think the only time I would choose bitcoin as a preferred currency for transactions is when I am sending money outside the country or in other words, intercountry transactions because how fast and reliable and low cost one can use to complete transactions. But when it comes to intra - country transfers and operations, using Bitcoin is a huge drag because some businesses don't accept it as a medium of exchange hence the superiority of fiat system within the country especially mine.

I don't use Bitcoin for day to day small transactions. As majority of people use stable coin for small transection because of Bitcoins charge high fees (for 3$ payment 20 cents fee is consider high). Yes I agree that in terms of security Bitcoin it at top thats why it's best for holding. I like to use Bitcoin when the payment is large otherwise I use stable Coin for small payments most of the time.

Finally, after so long I've read a post from someone who is actually happy and praising the use cases and functions that Bitcoin has got to offer, otherwise, most people are busy only talking about the market, the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, when they should buy, when they should sell, whether it is the right time to buy or not, are we late into the party, and a bunch of other questions and topic only related to the monetary value of Bitcoin. I know everybody's reason might not be the same but there are some common reasons that we can share between ourselves and I believe the borderless transaction is one of those reason and for me especially because of the region which I come from that is Nigeria.

It is very difficult to make transactions overseas as a citizen of Nigeria because of the reputation we have gotten but with Bitcoin transactions there isn't any discrimination and this make it easy for us to be able to make transactions effortlessly without being stereotype. Bitcoin is quite easy to understand if you already have background in tech and as I am very frequent with new technologies, making use of Bitcoin isn't as difficult as people claim.

Out of everything that you have said here, the part I appreciate the most is how conveniently Bitcoin has made borderless transactions easier. Those who use fiat for this purpose, especially when large transactions are involved, face restrictions and/or unnecessary verifications that can cause delays in the transaction process. Of course, I also appreciate Bitcoin's top security features, which help keep our bitcoin secure.

Indeed Bitcoin transaction is quick but it is not free unless you are using an centralized application that has promo that waived fee.  Remember Bitcoin has transaction fee.  So it is misleading to say that a Bitcoin transaction is free.

Bitcoin transaction is indeed fast, but the confirmation is somehow the issue.  With an average confirmation time of 10 minutes, it is somewhat slow compared to instant transactions and confirmations from e-money services.

I think OP wasn't comparing it with other cryptocurrencies when he said it is faster for cross-border transactions, but he was comparing it with fiat transfers that we make through banking channels, and of course, it is way faster than that when you have to send money in another country, because with Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, it doesn't matter whether the receiver is sitting next to you or is living across the world in a country that is at the other end of the earth, the transaction time will be the same, and that is beauty of it. When you want to send money through fiat to another country, there will be so much to handle.

It's obviously not free, and the fees could be high sometimes but not all the time, but again, if you compare it with the fees, taxes, and everything you will need to pay when making a fiat cross-border transaction, what you pay as Bitcoin's network fee is nothing compared to that. If I'm paying, let's say, $100 or maybe more for making a transaction to another country, I would think I wasn't charged anything if I can make the same transaction by only paying $2 or even $5, which is still high during normal times when the network isn't congested.

Recently, we can already see that another giant air line company, Emirates, has now started accepting direct payments through Bitcoin. Even not only Bitcoin, they have started accepting more cryptocurrencies.
