They might believe school is a scam but deep down the result is very vital, and again no knowledge is a waste, so no one should try to convince you that school is a scam because it's not, for the fact that one is benefiting through business doesn't mean having a degree is a waste of time, I have come across many that went back to school at old age because of one or two reasons, I despite the fact that they are financially stabled, on the other hand if you take a look at the stress that is in going to school then after that you are not even guaranteed a job in the country it's so heartbreaking that's why Many prefers business and tell you school is a scam.

Why do so many people prefer starting a business over getting a degree?

I also support getting a degree first, but we can't blame those who choose not to follow that path. Because a university degree no longer guarantees a job after graduation, and many countries are facing this issue becoming more serious. So for those who decide not to pursue university, there's nothing wrong with that choice given their circumstances.

I will agree that a degree can provide some level of advantage to a business, if only what you studied in school has some kind of knowledge that is directly useful for running a business.  But just having a degree alone cannot guarantee that the business will be successful. I have actually come across people with degree that still end up struggling in business, while a person that did not go to school, but have a good experience build a successful business.  As long as the individual have the willingness to keep learning from past mistakes and apply new strategy.

I am so impressed with this statement you just said, degree is not the main requirement for someone to be successful, take a look at people that are wealthy today not even up to 50 percent among them that are educated, what I mean that have degree. Degree is very important because it will contribute to your life in terms of dealing with people, it allows people to have confidence in you because you can really understand how the world is going.

Exactly, school is never a scam, and I still he's not regretting it because he's already a made man with or without school, just like he said he will make sure his children further their education to master, now those kids are opportune to have been benefiting from their dad's hard work, the fact that he doesn't have a degree still did not stop him from making it big, that's why Manny will still tell you they prefer business to degree, because one is not sure of any good job after school so to me I believe it's just a thing of choice, some will chose school over business while some will chose business over school, but trust me those that prefer business to school are more.
