A person does not need a degree to run a business. I am a businessman and I believe that a degree never helps anyone much in running a business. Business requires practical knowledge. The education system that exists in my country is of no use in our real life. Here, students only read books, memorize and take exams but do not learn any practical work due to which that institutional degree does not play much role in their real life.

If I did, I am still studying but I started my business a few years ago without giving much importance to my studies. Now I have managed to establish my business at a standard place. If I had only pursued my degree first and not started my business, it would have taken me a few more years to establish my business successfully. I am never in favor of ignoring business and pursuing a degree. I am saying this considering the education system of my country but it may be different in different countries.

It all boils down to the situation or economy of the country. While opening a business without having a degree could lead to a great amount of profit, getting a degree is also necessary and essential so as to develop various strategies in ensuring continuous growth and investment with the right knowledge acquired through degree.
In some countries, degrees speaks volume when it concerns matters of good paying jobs, which some business owners may not be able to achieve within a specific period of time. And with such experiences combined with degree, one can decide to set up his/her business, but in nutshell all essential for someone to go into.

Doing a good business can guarantee a financial independence especially when the trader have strategy that will help increase the annual profits on a consistent mode. The education sector is collapsing gradually due to the government not pumping enough money and providing infrastructures to help build a a future in education where students can create jobs by themselves after school instead of searching for jobs and who is going to employ them.

The mentality of looking for a job after college need to be abolish because this is making students dependent on what the government is going to provide for them and most are not ready to build businesses that will compete on standard of creating solutions based on what they have learnt in school.

I don’t know which one is better because it depends on how you see it. You may have your own reason for making this post. Even though you become successful through business without going to school, there may come a time when you wish you had gone to school when you had the chance. I don’t even think it is necessary to debate if business is better than education. If you have what it takes to do both, just do it.

They might believe school is a scam but deep down the result is very vital, and again no knowledge is a waste, so no one should try to convince you that school is a scam because it's not, for the fact that one is benefiting through business doesn't mean having a degree is a waste of time, I have come across many that went back to school at old age because of one or two reasons, I despite the fact that they are financially stabled, on the other hand if you take a look at the stress that is in going to school then after that you are not even guaranteed a job in the country it's so heartbreaking that's why Many prefers business and tell you school is a scam.

What you say is absolutely true. A degree is no longer a guarantee of employment as technological advancements such as the internet and AI have made it easier to learn independently and generate income. However, if your goal is to become a doctor, an architect or the like then formal education is indeed important. Pursuing an education remains essential because it provides structured instruction and allows you to expand your network benefits you wouldn't necessarily gain from independent online learning.

That said if your goal is to become an entrepreneur or create your own job, formal education is sometimes less critical. Rather than spending four years at university it might be better to focus on your business from the start as building a business relies less on theory and more on hands on practical experience.

You're right, I've felt it by now. I don't have a bachelor's degree, because since I graduated from school, I've only been running a business. But as time goes by, the network of friends is increasing, there is a business that my friend showed me with the condition that at least a bachelor's degree has a bachelor's degree.

And I regret a little bit that I never had that bachelor's degree, but in my country it's actually still possible to continue to catch up with it, and I'm still going to try it to pursue that education.

Regardless, higher education is always needed. while the success or failure of a person is more I believe in destiny that determines it.
We can do business without a bachelor's degree, but it is also not a guarantee for success, because not a few people in business experience bankruptcy.

I agree, I've seen those who became successful through street smart but in the end they still tried to get some education because they need it as a formal way of dealing with other people from what they'll learn by having it. Although we're not against of having school, in fact that's what we're told to have so that we will become successful. But as we grow older, we understand that each has different path. Some might be successful in school and have degrees but not in life, some are in the opposite.

There are categories where degree is required and where it is not require. Degree is not necessary in aspects of business, but sometimes if you are a O level (result) holder you will not have the opportunity to reach great heights, unless you further your education. Education is not just about securing a job, it is also important for our own growth and development. From my perspective it is best to start a business first if you have the opportunity to do so, and when you are stable financially you can make arrangements on going back to school for greater achievementes, develop more skills and experience. some people will not even bother to further their education again if they are not struggling financially. Interacting with different kind of people in the means of education makes an individual more brilliant and knowledgeable.

I will like to make a clearance about something, having a degree is one of the cutest thing to get and there is nothing bad in having a business if you have the means for the capital, understand the structure and know how to execute it. There are people in a well developed countries that want to get that degree and focus on how to make use of that degree, the business class are there too but degree comes before anything. However, countries that don't value degree tend to have people with lots of entrepreneurs and business minded people.

Business is hard, don't let anyone deceive you but if you master the art, you are going to be independent forever but then again, there are challenges in running a business in the long run. It's not about starting the business itself, it's how long you can maintain the business even in hard economic crisis.

People use to go to school to learn but all that can now be learnt from the internet and that is why people do not considered schools that important anymore for them to spend years going to. The certificate that school use to give is not that important for getting job now adays  and that is why people are no longer getting interested in schooling since it has no benefits like that. People prefer to get skills that can guarantee them getting employed almost instantly when they are done learning and you can not blame them for choosing this because everybody is just trying on how to survive in this world that is not easy to survive.

Fixed salary income can barely get to the second generation after you, but a good business with proper management can be passed down to more than 5 generations. And the most interesting part is, majority of businesses don't require you to be educated to run it, being literate is enough and when you compare this to the time and money for most education with targeted salary to be earned afterwards you'll likely agree that businesses are better than salary jobs.
Since a business mostly requires principles accompanied by some set of skills I'll best prefer that; for start ups, you get a mentor who is already doing well in that business rather than getting a degree.

Can skills replace a degree in business? 100% yes. Running a business requires market validation, cash flow discipline, sales, and execution grit. Universities teach you how to be a manager inside someone else's company, not how to survive as a founder.

The best path to choose in muy opinion is the hybrid path, so we still need a degree or gain some theory in school while using that specialized skill to build your own business
