Most people in crypto focus on buying an asset and waiting for the price to increase.
Arbitrage takes a different approach.
Instead of relying entirely on market direction, arbitrage traders look for price differences between different markets and try to capture the spread.
I've been looking into crypto arbitrage as a potential way to generate returns from market inefficiencies.
It's definitely not "free money" and there are risks to consider, but I think it's an interesting strategy worth researching.
Would anyone here be interested in discussing the different types of crypto arbitrage?

Do you mean inter-exchange or inter-pair?
I doubt arbitrage trading is still worth the time to find opportunities that are currently almost non-existent. Even local exchanges now offer trading bots that increase trading volume and narrow price spreads between exchanges. Not to mention, platform-specific speed constraints for crediting balances due to network confirmation requirements.

I agree with you. The good days of arbitrage are gone. it's very difficult to compete with the bots used by exchanges today. As far as I know, fees, slow internet, and crypto price swings can easily wipe out any profit.

Arbitrage is much riskier unless you have the right tools and can react quickly.

Also, some scam exchanges show fake prices to attract arbitrage traders. They're often nothing more than traps meant to lure arbitrage traders and steal their crypto. That's why it's better to use only trusted CEXs in the market.

Yeah, definitely an interesting strategy. I’ve been exploring crypto payments lately too and came across Oppi Payment. Seems like crypto payment gateways are getting more interesting as the space grows.

If arbitrage is easy to do this time, many would have done that. But it's been years since I've read someone was able to do it.

The possibilities are still there but your main risk here is the time and the effort that you'll exert which considers not only your speed but also the network that you're about to do the arbitrage.

My conclusion for myself, no doubt it's profitable but it's not for me who's got lesser time to check the market these days and so I prefer to do the usual way of waiting for the appreciation and selling after holding for some time.

Arbitrage trading hasn't been possible for many years. This is mainly due to the fact that most of the trading is done by bots. If bots aren't trading something, it's only because it's a scam coin or a scam exchange.

Currently, a single bot can perform several thousand operations per second, so any attempt to compete with this is simply impossible. For many years, only bots have been competing with other bots in the market.

Anyone who claims otherwise is simply telling bs, and it's best to stay away from such offers.
