I don't know why I'm feeling jealousy about this your objection because I know that there're billionaire's out there in the stock market that doesn't have to be questioned about this scacism. Donald Trump had also made much more monies during his first tenure as the US President. We know and the world knows that he was also a potential enthusiast to bitcoin and crypto at large. My conclusion is that it's not worth investing him only because him and his family had made huge profits from their bitcoin investment. He can be investigated for other reasons while such uncalled ful one could even be taunting it that bitcoin is truly an easy avenue for scammers to hide.

Trump is the president of the United States and a business man before becoming president, that said we must have the forseen his ability to directly or indirectly influence his profits in crypto which can either be legal or illegal, but the question is, will his current political position as the president dispose him to such investigations while in office, and also the the fact that any allegations of corruption practices should be backed with evidence to prove wether Trump profits is product of corruption and should be investigated, let not depend on just allegations, and speculations there must be evidence to back those claims.
Looking at the story of Donald Trump, he is already made, and one among the wealthy people in United States of America, like you said, Donald Trump is already rich, has many companies , and investment generating him money, and besides he must be covered by the power of immunity as the US seating president. More also, from research, Donald Trump is among the top bitcoin holders, and who knows if he has sold some of his bitcoins to take profit. However, investigating corrupt practices, and setting up such bill is very necessary to keep sanity in the US financial system, and this investigations should not be centered on a particular person, but should take place in all sectors, and including both past, and present federal government office holders.

I'm not an American, but aren't there enough regulatory bodies that deal with corruption at the federal level already? I know of the FBI, the US Office of Government Ethics, the IRS Criminal Investigation, the DOJ and even the SEC all have jurisdiction in cases like this, so if all these people are not able to investigate the president for all the corruption allegations, what will a new agency be able to do? This shows a lack of faith or trust in the current system because a country like the US has enough agencies to deal with any problem in any part of its system.
I doubt the bill will even be passed because it would require Republicans to sign off on it in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, which I doubt, considering that they are the majority. And, as the article says, without a two-thirds vote, Trump can refuse to sign it, too.

For me it is actually worth investigating and a significant reason is because this earning could be linked to his position as the president of US
Don't expect any investigation scrutinizing his manipulation in different markets on his regime. At first, we've cheered for him and I guess some American forum members did liked him when he's still on the campaign period. Telling things about bitcoin and how he's open for that. Little did we know, he really liked bitcoin and the crypto market as a whole because it became a family business including his son who earned a lot with his manipulation. It made headlines that his sons earned tens of millions, easy money thanks to pops and that's an advantage of being a nepo.

According to https://cointelegraph.com/news/senate-government-agency-donald-trump-cryptocurrency-ventures?utm_campaign=rss_partner_inbound&utm_medium=rss&utm_source=rss_feed senate minority leader Chukwueze Schumer is pushing for a bill that will allow for the investigation of corrupt practices by anyone. After reading this article I can deduct that the Crypto earnings of Donald Trump in 2025 in which he admitted that he and his family has made gains in excess of $2 billion . For me it is actually worth investigating and a significant reason is because this earning could be linked to his position as the president of US For me I think this is a reasonable bill, allegations of using political positions for profits is worth investigating and this is not only about Donald Trump. It is actually not a coincidence that the president of the US is making these profits from Cryptocurrency now that he is in position and even with other matter like the brother to his son in law being regarded as the lead investor to the outrageous proposal by FIFA to sell world commercial stakes. Trump has already invested in some of these crypto assets even before becoming a president, he has been a billionaire businessman before politics. however the bill will help to enhance the critical checking of crypto assets if it is being linked through corruption and to also check the gains that were made if it was properly from investment of previous years. At the level of President Trump, most of his investment whether within America or offshore are well-known to the public bureau, this is because before you become a president most of your assets will be declared, and if any profit is being made over the years, it will be seen by all. What I see on this article is more like a smear campaign against the crypto assets of President Trump, more like the Bill is targeted towards executive ownership of some assets.

Why are we acting like we don't know this is US politics? This happens everywhere and this is just one of the ways politicians lend their voices to attack the majority party. Look at it, the bill was supported by Democrats, the Republicans didn't give any vote for it and you think this is going to be pass? Anyone can create bill but not every bill is going to be pass, this one is going to be trash and I'm sure if it's Democrats that ruling, no senator will write this epic story as Bill. There are some immunity president's do get, I don't think lawmakers are going to let their president down, not even the judiciary or whatever. He appoints the high people at the top, so it's normal that e even if this bill is passed, they will not work with. Let's be honest, politicians don't care about the masses, this move is to attack him, it may be for the good but this is political card.

Trump is a wealthy businessman before he became the president and that alone is enough for people to ignore his actions. But I think his actions should be frowned at because it shows that he's using his position to manipulate things in order to make more money.
This bill will be good because it will make the US president know the limit he can go. Trump second tenure is not economy friendly due to too much manipulation in the international market.
Trump's family is wealthy as it is and they owned different high-end businesses. But that alone won't justify how quickly he managed to gain over $2 billion after he was elected as the US new president. If that is not corruption, then I don't know what it is. But no one will be honest to admit it, not until the end of his position and different cases will be thrown to him. Yes, this is a good and reasonable bill. But just like other countries, that bill will be useless if some senators are still fully controlled by Trump and even benefit from those corruptions.

I am not an expert on US law, but for some reason it seems to me that if Trump earns money in the ways they want to accuse him of, then this will not be subject to investigation. I think that Trump is very good at calculating his actions regarding legality. Therefore, an attempt to adopt a new law that would allow the president to be prosecuted is unlikely to succeed, at least while he is in power.

These are things that our American friends here can testify to, and the answer they will give depends on whether they are trump voters or not. A trump voter will say that Trump is doing everything to help the nation, they are the type of people who would be willing to give money to Trump, a billionaire (at least on paper), when they are not even 1% as rich as him, so they are not really unbiased. But on the other hand, a democrat, or at least someone who doesn't vote for Trump, doesn't feel like there is going to be something that would be all that easy to decide on what is going to happen justly, they would hate Trump so much that, even if he is as evil as they say he is, when he does one good deed, like sure let's say he is evil, and does 999 bad things, but 1 out of 1000 times, he does something good, even then, democrats won't see that. So, we can't get an unbiased opinion on this. Maybe this is amazing, maybe this is something America needed, maybe this will be used in a way that will help the American public, or maybe this is bad, and this is just to make sure that his opponents are weaker, and maybe this is just another way that his courts are doing whatever they can to give him more power. I would not be able to tell you which one it is; I would love to make sure of that, but I can't because I am not American and I do not follow it as closely as an American should.

Seeing the fast financial growth of Trump's wealth and businesses, its not surprising that a lot of people will accuse him of leveraging his presidency position and use it to accumulate more of his current wealth. While some critics and ethics experts prove that what he's doing is completely illegal and unethical, but for some people, Trump is just maximizing his business potentials while he can do it, and while his political influence is immensely huge and high.
Still, if the American citizens will be satisfied seeing Trump will be investigated, then let it be. But I don't think they will find illegalities with Trump. Trump is known to be smart wise, he does things clean and clear so that legalities and transparency will still prevail.

A bill to target Trump? Just wishful thinking by those against him. He is a smart guy, nothing will happen to him and his family even after his term. He is a President but at the same time a businessman. Just like a usual businessman, he won't let an opportunity to earn slip from his grasp. While they say it is unethical that he is using his influence to boost his earnings, that is because they are against him, but did he break any rules? They should produce clear and solid evidence then.
It may be unethical for others, but as long as he hasn't broken any rules, the bill, even if it passes, their effort will just be fruitless. They are just fighting a battle with little to no chance of victory. They are just wasting resources.

I agree that tribal bias is a huge problem in making clean analysis domestically. Still, neutrality is not the same as splitting the difference. Paralysis is when someone is stealing and you say, "Well we cannot really know". I would like to know if, if this bureau is passed, it will have some operational independence. The reason Hong Kong's ICAC and Singapore's CPIB work is because they have real subpoena power, and are not subject to political interference. The Schumer bill consolidates FEC, OGE and the Office of Special Counsel into one body with a seven-member bipartisan board. Interesting structure. The design is similar to what is working elsewhere. Currently, the bill is dead in the Republican Senate. Has been given 60 votes. Does not have them. But that is nearly irrelevant.

You can’t put a seating president under investigation for goodness sake. All those agencies and units are in his government and within his cabinet. Perhaps when his no longer in office, they can open an investigation on how he conducted certain affairs and even then, there isn’t any high hopes on a judgement that would be way too harsh against him. Mind you, the listed agencies are still very active and functional, even though they at the moment are just accumulating data.

Has anyone investigated the case of crypto profits for Donald Trump's family? Not at all, the incumbent is now more powerful because it has power, like his Trump also do not care about his No this investigation in the end he is innocent.
Suppose the president of another country looking to profit from crypto may already be the subject of investigation, because this is the US president, everything can be slowed down, one thing is for sure Trump will be immune to any law, with the current bill this could be better but not aimed at Trump.
It is abundantly clear and considering that they typically have more ways to delay or obstruct investigations than ordinary citizens that preferential treatment for incumbent officials is an undeniable fact. Another interesting point here is that Bitcoin is far bigger than whoever happens to be in office.

Trump is a so-so businessman. Don't forget that he's been bankrupt six times. His entire business career has been a complete failure. Does he use his position to make money? Yes, I have no doubt about it. It's called insider trading. I'm glad someone is investigating this. He should have been held accountable long ago. Also, pay close attention to his inner circle, which also uses its influence to make huge sums of money.

People wouldn't have a problem if he made the same amount of money before and after becoming president, but if he earned this amount after becoming president, it raises big questions in the public sphere. Unfortunately, Trump's influence is very strong, and we know he always does things that actually invite protests, yet he still does them. Imagine if this happened to another country's president. Would he intervene? I think he would.

Any bills that is in the interest of the people is good for the country as it will make sure that things are done in the right way and the economy of the country prospers so if this bill is not aimed at witch-hunting Trump, then it is a good one to sanitize the office of the president as not being abusive. Leaders who are vested with so much power needs to have a way of checkmating their excesses especially in a democracy so that they won't abuse their powers and other leaders after them would know that they cannot go against the constitution and get away with it. Trump is a shrewd business man and a firce leader, the oppositions must have something very concrete to be able to prosecute him for abuse of office, let us watch and see how it unfolds.

If you don't know a thing, read up about it first before commenting. Who told you a sitting president cannot be investigated? So why does the Constitution make room for impeachment if he cannot be investigated? Or do you think he would just be impeached without investigation? Congress has the right to investigate and impeach a sitting president. If he cannot be investigated, that means he is above the law, at least for the time he is in office, and it is not so. Also, those security bodies are meant to be independent bodies. They investigate whoever they want, without the permission of the president. At least that is how it should be on paper. They were there before the president, and they will be there after the president. The immunity the president enjoys does not cover unofficial and private matters.
