What's rotting the mind of the youth is due to the new standard that people are doing right now.
To each their own if someone tells that the youth today are useless.
But giving them credits when they invent new things and they achieve milestones that the past generation can't do when they're younger.
The society keeps on telling them that they need to have cars, houses, mansions, luxury cars, etc.

Social problems.
It is an established fact that a struggling economy contributes to crime rate , this is because man just has to survive so he can do anything possible to put food on his table including crime.

This is a vast social issue. Crime often stems from pressing, ongoing demands that must be met—compounded by a lack of sufficient income—creating a situation where stress reaches a breaking point.

It is a fact that everyone wants to live a normal life. In reality, however, the system sometimes holds people back, preventing them from reaching their desired level of success. Consequently, they turn to shortcuts they deem appropriate. I believe the responsibility does not lie solely with us; the government must also be proactive in creating employment opportunities for the public.

In our country, we have a saying: "The youth is the hope of the nation.”

So when I read your thread saying that the youth have become useless, it made me think twice. If we generalize them that way, then what kind of future will the country have? They will eventually become the next workers, parents, and leaders.

That is why I don’t agree with calling the youth useless in general. Some may be irresponsible, but many are also struggling because of poor education, lack of opportunities, unemployment, and the situation in their country. Give them the right support and opportunity, and they can still become productive members of society.

I agree that the root of the problem is definitely not a lack of jobs. In the distribution of these jobs — yes, most likely, but even accounting for that, I see the issue elsewhere. Young people are bombarded with so much content through social media. They watch a "life" there that doesn't actually exist in reality. But even if they know this, their desires and expectations are still formed based on social media content. And young people are constantly comparing themselves to those non-existent successful individuals who, while sipping prosecco on a yacht, somehow manage to make 10k dollars a month.

We should not fully depend on our country for sustainability as a youth, every hands must be on the desk, which means that we should find something doing and stop being dependent of on what the government have to offer us before we seed will achieve our goal.

We can start by identifying our immediate challenges within the society and providing accuracy solution to those issues and by so doing, we are making enough prospect for ourselves to have some thing to depend on, everybody will not be a direct beneficiary of what government is doing, but we can determine to be self motivated through what we can offer and be independent in life.

If you find yourself in a society  where you need connection before you get a job then that's a failed system, and it isn't like this all over the world. It really hurts when I see things like this, because the younger generation will grow to accept this system and before you know it, it would begin to seem normal which is actually the biggest problem.
The biggest problem in  any society is normalizing corruption, once it starts it spreads like wild.

You need connections to get a job in every society. Well, if you simply want to get a job, you don't need any connection to work in warehouse and delivery because these are shitty jobs with shitty treatment and shitty payments but if you want a high paying job where you work in a clean and beautiful environment and get paid handsomely well, then you definitely need connections.

I somehow agree that world has changed. But I do not think that skills and education have become meaningless over the period of time. They are foundation for getting long term success. The difference is today, having qualification alone is not enough. Clients and employers all value communication and ability to present your work efficiently. So skills with self promotion should be combined together.

Connections should never be the deciding factor for every opportunity. If hiring or business started depending on whom they know rather than what they can actually do for their business, then they might have to face loss. Everyone should try to adapt themselves to improve themselves. To learn the technical abilities about the digital world, networking and also work on personal branding.

Skills and education are not meaningless but they aren't skill to success if you can't market yourself well. Today we live in an attention economy, where people like iShowSpeed earn millions of dollars by making silly facial mimics and making people laugh on YouTube. Yes, these things pay more than any skill pays today.

Thess are the problems, why should a youth that is in between the age of 20-28 be thinking about cars, mansion, houses and luxurious lifestyle? We subject ourself to unnecessary pressures because of what the society is showing but that's for people that want to be pressure because I don't care what they think about me. If not that the social media has created some fake illusions in the mind of people, you have no business on those things unless you come from a wealthy family, an average person can't afford those things within that age range.

In the 90s if you are able to afford such kind of lifestyle, the same society will think you are into some illegal money but today it has become normal, parents don't bother to ask their children about the source of their money, they don't care as long you are putting some funds on the table and that's very bad. The internet has simplify wealth and make it easy for some people but it doesn't mean people are not into dubious means of making money to show society about their finances.
