I agree with you; even aside from a country's economic situation or a country being corrupt, these days youth should also learn how not to rely on their government to succeed. There are a lot of skills now to learn, both digital skills and traditional skills. Anyone who is lazy in 2026 shouldn't blame the government for that because we're living in an age where everything you need to succeed or learn a skill is within your power. Many skills are taught on YouTube, and someone can even download the video tutorial and be practicing, unlike when smartphones were not present. I don't even see much reason why people will be blaming the government for what they can provide for themselves.
I won't advise anyone starting a career to learn from YouTube. It is better the go for paid courses or bootcamp where they can get guidance. We can't be blaming the government for unemployment but they still owe us accountability because they are sitting on public funds and those funds are enough to sponsor a handful of citizens to acquire this said skills. Some persons are not lazy they just don't have the right direction on how to pursue their career and many are limited due to learning fee. YouTube doesn't give learning direction and for a total beginner it will take them longer to wrap their hands on any meaningful result.

I think that due to the traditional education in different countries, the youth are becoming more and more inactive. Especially in those countries where only theoretical education is provided. Theoretical education cannot reveal the creative power of a student. A person's creativity is revealed only when he receives practical education, especially technical education. If you look at the education systems of the countries in the world that are ahead in the technological sector, you will see that they educate their children in technical education instead of theoretical education and at a very young age they can express themselves as innovators.

The world has changed. Today, only having skills or being highly educated means nothing if you don't have connections and/or you can't promote yourself.

I agree and disagree with you on this statement, which I think is both wrong and correct at the same time. This is correct that getting higher education is not worth it anymore if you don't have any skills related to your field. But yes, if you are well educated and well skilled, then you are good to go. And when you have good skills, then it becomes easier for you to get the best job related to your field. So the time has gone when you have to go door to door looking for a job related to your field. We are living in the digital era where finding a job is easier than before.

Today, the attention is everything. Are you good at marketing yourself and your skills? Then you can earn money money and live better than someone who is more educated than you and has better skills but honestly, connections mean a lot too.
What the government and organizations should do is one thing and to suit the modern reality is different. Yes, they should do certain things but the fact is that they don't do, so, in such case, you have to adapt the modern time and way of living.

When you have good skills, then you get attention easily without putting in too much. I am not saying don't make efforts, but it reduces the high-level difficulty. Once you find a job, then from that point your good connections start to increase with different kinds of people in the field. Then you learn more and more.

Where will the younger generation go to work if no new jobs have been created in the country? Yes, the president promised many years ago to create over 20 million new vacancies, but so far this hasn't been accomplished. Everything has remained just promises. So what will happen to the young people now, wandering from corner to corner while the economic situation worsens with each passing day? This is a real problem that no one seems to be addressing. Everything has been left to chance. And how can the government be changed in a country where power is held by force and suppresses all resistance?

There are always jobs. Younger generation simply dont want to do that because 1) low payment or less than they want or expect 2) it is difficult job 3) job is not prestigious. There is always lack of cleaners for example. However not a single young person wants to start his job as a cleaner. His friends will laugh if they find out that he is a cleaner. There are always open positions of cashiers. Nobody wants to be cashiers.
Let’s take for example in my country, there are youths who are ready to do most of this menial jobs but in a country where even the cost of transportation is very high, you want to manage menial jobs but the cost of transportation monthly will be higher than what you will paid monthly, how will they cope with that. There’s actually no way to cope with that, because that’s even more suffering or hardship on the person and they choose to source for other jobs that can be manageable but most times it seems so hard. It is better to do a job that by the end of the month, one will be left with at least something to survive with than nothing, because it will seem like all your efforts are in vain.

I think country macro economy condition only determining the the opportunity but not certainty, economy does not completely determine the fate of individuals, matter of fact in a country with bad economy or good economy confition there are suceess people, survived people and looser people, which meaneconomy surely determines opportunity but we as human determine how we utilized the opportunity.

I saw education as long term investation nnot just producing workers. Education create inovator, entrepreneur, researcher, doctor, etc. The braindrain phenomenon show that government faild in providing opportunity, awards and innovation environment, its mean country not only loosing labor but loose inovation, productivity and taxes.

But I don't see entrepreneurship can solve all problem because not all people can handle businessl, and healthy economy needs many profession.
Economy does not only determine opportunities. People's determination and their efforts are also very important. Similarly, economic environment has huge impact on the success of many people. There are countries where the employment rate is very high, inflation is high, there is poor education system and they have a limited access to the capital.

Even very highly skilled, labouring and  hard working people are struggling to get stable Job or to grow their business. Brain drain is not only about government that is failing to create opportunities. People often migrate because they are getting higher salary in other area or they have better access to technology. They can easily have higher standard of living abroad.

All these you said are true but the society has evolved way more than this point and a young person can only end up to be useless if he or she decides to be that way. With lack of proper education it is true that it can actually affect the state of young people but there are lots of ways through which a person can now be educated and you don't necessarily have to do go to school to learn.

Opportunities a lot of times are created and not something that you just run into. Like I said, being useless is a choice and the economic situation of a country has made a lot of young people assume that they have nothing to offer but this is a wrong mentality.

Admittedly, it is not necessarily that working extremely hard would allow one to succeed in a bad economic situation. The level of unemployment among the population and inequality of the distribution of resources are big barriers to the realization of potential in an individual. High skilled human capital is the natural reaction to the appeal of foreign prosperity where professional capacity is sufficiently compensated in the form of resources.

Yes many becomes useless because they wished to but that is never enough reason governments never contributes to the failure of most hardworking citizens that have been reduced to nothing now.
Survival in a nation that has provision for citizens is a bit easier than that of the once in a country that priorities corrupt practices or leadership system of governance in all their activities.
On a serious note, I will plead for all government to intervene in matters related to developmental activities instead of putting there selfish interest above.

I couldn't even imagine how difficult it would be to find any kind of work that would help me make ends meet. An employer offers a high salary, but with the stipulation that I have to work 12-14 hours a day. And then how will I live? There's no time even for sleep. Is this a normal existence? It's slavery and madness.

We cant decide for ourselves which country or place you want to live before you born in this world, so once you face the reality here is all you need is to be strong the faith of the world does not rely on you and does not make you at peace all of the things you need to do is you need to move, pay for the hard work, do something there is nothing blessing came from above and make your life good thats the reality is. Now also considering how does the government works on your place because sometimes most of them are the reason why we are suffer due to their personal uses of the funds instead for the community thats why we are suffering. In my perspective its all about the person how they will handle the challenge of the life so its up to you how you seek for that opportunity.

I get your frustration. It's totally unfair. Employers are getting too strict and greedy lately. The AI boom has completely changed the labor market. Now you have to work harder to be able to live comfortably. Obtaining job security, seems impossible these days. Because employers are constantly laying off the human workforce in favor of AI.

Due to these and many other inconveniences, the youth has opted not to seek employment but rather take matters into their own hands. Influencers, content creators, and sponsors would be the jobs of the future. Jobs where you are your own boss with minimal effort. Let employers get sucked into the AI hype. They will eventually regret it and get back to the old ways. I sure hope so...

The method to control this happens early in life. You have to get yourself into a professional degree and not just a graduation. Often people are going after what they love to do, this is also a good step because you are doing what you love and you are less likely to get bored unless it become completely mechanical in the upcoming years - in which case AI can possibly be a replacement.

Again governments are poor at creating jobs. But the youth are also poor at securing good degrees, skills and formal education. The first one will not change so easily, but the second one is solvable and eventually think about moving out from that country if you are able to.

Yeah they should act professionally at early age as they can, but the problem is government is not actually good when it comes creating or giving jobs to their people. That's why safest approach is to extend good effort to build new skills and have formal qualifications.

Lots of young people nowadays still how important the education and also discipline, even here in online. They have that its good to do those things what they love, but if it happens that what they do is repetitive and they didn't choose to upgrade. For sure that in future they will get replaced by Ai.

Also if their country cannot provide good support on their growth also when it comes for improving their skills I think best practical solution is to go abroad and learn lots of things from there.

I think that due to the traditional education in different countries, the youth are becoming more and more inactive. Especially in those countries where only theoretical education is provided. In fact, some courses are much irrelevant to the society due to technological advancement. But there are many relevant courses like engineering, and health related ourses are limited to few people and can not be affordable for everybody. in many developing countries many graduates are not contributing to economic advancements of the nation, because they are left without jobs, and as a result of that some youths are now viewing the educational system as a wasting of time. Like in Nigeria, educational system is abuse, most especially the government schools are not well supplied with standard practical equipment and other necessary learning tools.

It would be wrong to talk about only graduates, doctors, engineers. I think those who can develop skills in any one subject, that is, those who are rich in innovative knowledge, are never unemployed. You probably know the history of China that the country was economically backward even before the Second Industrial Revolution, but due to the groundbreaking steps of their government, today China is much ahead in terms of technology and at the same time, China's economy is also rich now. At that time, the government of their country was not able to provide jobs to unemployed youth, so they closed big universities and started educating students in technical education so that they are enriched with innovative talents. As a result, most Chinese citizens are involved in innovative activities today.
Honestly, if you study only in the hope of a job, it will be foolish. You have to develop yourself in such a way that even if you do not get a job, you can do something on your own initiative.

Not just with transportation costs alone but indeed with some of the costs of survival today tend to be higher than our own income or our own salary. Someone who works in a factory with a round trip system and a long distance certainly requires transportation costs, although having their own vehicle is still included in expenses that are certainly taken from their own salary.

Not to mention for basic needs such as eating, paying bills and others so the cost of living is indeed high and there is no way to overcome it apart from our own high income as well. Those who work with enough income to survive are good, because there is no income at all.

Practice makes perfect as they said. Theoretical education is not as useful as practical. Teaching young children in practical form can actually help them to be more creative and lucrative. I don't know why they've failed to modernise educational system in the appropriate way. The upcoming generations are supposed to grow up into something great that will be beneficial to the society and our nation at large. It is hard to find a job due to less job opportunity, and also due to lack of practical experience.

Exactly how it is, most underdeveloped countries has continued to make their youths useless for this aforementioned reasons, what's education without practicals, the world is a evolving, people are not looking at your theory, rather they are interested in the problems you solve.
This is why china is ahead in many things, even if you have a good theory, the practical is what makes it innovative, and as we know, anything you know it's practical side, you don't need anyone to explain the theoretical part for you, I think you're very correct because creativity itself is practical, so to be creative one has to be practically sound which has to start from proper mentoring sometimes.

I think in an economy like this, the best thing is to take your mind off the government by not complaining and expecting things to get better. It is not a problem of a bad educational structure because not a difference of educational systems between developing and developped countries. Bot systems require the combination between theory and practice.

Me myself I have discovered that when one complains so much about the government, it can affect your mental state, and when you expect things to get better, you may feel too relaxed and not do what you need to do to help yourself or your siblings. To survive in a third world economy, instead of looking for the government, it is better to learn a skill because this is the only thing that can make the difference.

In a country where the government has failed to put thing in other by creating more jobs opportunity to the youth it's left for those to go learn some skills so they can one day become self employed with out waiting for the government to do it.
Most country economy is bad due to the kind of leadership in such country even after graduating from college no job to be free from such condition start up something no mater how little it will be and also make sure your children learn some good skills as they grow up so that they won't affected much in the future if the economy went worse.
